Literally one of the best videos I've watched to get a understanding on how to make most of my characters 🙏. Covers almost everything for me THANK YOU!!!!!11!1
I have never hand an event like this play out before. I was hyped about learning the Specular BSDF trick, then found out in 4.2.3 that node isn't there anymore. I most likely is either under a new name now, or just is gone... either way, ugh. That was something cool I wanted to test and play around with. Still, watching your stuff has always boosted my want to keep practicing. You're awesome with a lot of things, but you're also transparent about how long it took you. 25 hours on this seems insane at first, but honestly, it is about the right time even for professionals given how much work they put into doing things. (Without the geo node heads I could see adding a good hour on that alone.)
i literally just picked up blender, not even halfway through gurus donut tutorial playlist yet thank you for mentioning that it took you 6 hours just on the shirt alone, its really easy to get disillusioned at how long these things take to make when watching sped up modelling footage, even when its done by a professional, these things take a long ass time to do, and i shouldnt frustrate myself when i didnt make a fully textured, rigged, and completed model in 30 minutes
WOW, what an outcome! It was so fascinating and really helpful to see your workflow. Your voice over and editing was really comprehensive and made this a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your process, I'm super excited to see what else you've created!
wow i somehow forgot that you can use curves as such an easy tool for making snakes some time ago and then i see this tecnique in this video again. I think i should be using that.
Could you clarify how you used projection on 2nd UV and then how you used it as its shown as you just magickly moved it to the prime UV - how did you do that?! From Basic Texturing 9:43 project uv to the Original UV - how did you transfer the information from one texture to the other?
I have 2 UVs, the "prime" UV and the projected one. With the main UV selected, go to Texture Paint mode and select the Clone brush, then you can select Single Image at the top of the screen and select the Image you want to paint on. Then under the properties we can select the Source Image (the reference image) and the source UVs (the projected UVs) then when we paint with the clone brush it will use the project UVs and reference image and draw it on to whatever image we selected! I explain it in full during my sword video! ruclips.net/video/4BdJGojnHsw/видео.htmlsi=ZQRwYrUWpQkKnNfd
Sometimes when I tweak curve points it turns from orange to yellow. Yellow curves are pretty uncontrollable for me, unlike orange ones. How do I turn yellow curves back to orange?
Would it be possible to use that customizable body mesh as a vr chat model? im just curious! friends of mine texture and sculpt their own and i think theyd be interested
Marvelous Designer is way better! In the same way that ZBrush is better for sculpting than Blender, Marvelous Designer just has so many more features that default Blender doesn't have. I know there are a few clothing add-ons that try and replicate it, but a standalone software will always be more efficient
you could've done the diamonds way faster if you just did it from one end all the way down to the other end diagonally instead of drawing in each box, and it'd have looked cleaner too
I am so upset that Im literally one dollar short of being able to buy the customizable basemesh lmao That will solve so many issues I have right now, until I can fix the mental issues I have with being able to work fully from scratch consistently.

She turns out wonderful!
I understand what u mean when u said the back side is tricky. Is always painful to work with only 1 reference.
i literally just picked up blender, not even halfway through gurus donut tutorial playlist yet

the annotation tool trick is very clever!
Really well done. Blender is not an easy software to sculpt in but you seem to have found a pretty effective workflow.
Blender is insane

What is your opinion on modeling clothes in blender vs. software like marvelous designer?
Marvelous Designer is way better! In the same way that ZBrush is better for sculpting than Blender, Marvelous Designer just has so many more features that default Blender doesn't have. I know there are a few clothing add-ons that try and replicate it, but a standalone software will always be more efficient
Epic
the metarig doesnt move with the mesh. can you make a tutorial on how to use the template please. (i am pretty new to blender sorry)
What are these outline modifiers actually ? Can they be transformed into mesh, or exported with material ??
Could you do us a favor and give this character animation movements with limited fps? I would like to see how it looks like in motion.
8:36 thats the guy from fortnite
WWWOOOWWW! #impressive
you could've done the diamonds way faster if you just did it from one end all the way down to the other end diagonally instead of drawing in each box, and it'd have looked cleaner too
That bisect tip is gonna help me so much!
How long have you been doing this? My main issue is more of the drawing/shading in programs like substance, not really the modeling in blender.
pirating substance rn lol
?
you can get it for free for 1 year if you are a student
Put me on bro
@@obuaebukame too bro

Medusa is suppose to be a monster. This tutorial transformed her into a sexy monster. 😅🥰
How long did it take to do this project?

Um you got male version of customizable model too?
If you make a male version I'll buy both

when you suck at drawing but are amazing at sculpting
Sculpting makes you better at drawing just as drawing makes you better at sculpting, so this way he's practicing drawing too
