- In part 2/4 of the "creating fur" tutorial series, we'll be working with geometry nodes to really customize the hair systems and make them look more realistic. We'll use the with Blender included drag and drop assets and tweak them when necessary.
With this tutorial series, I hope to give you the tips & tricks to create your own desired animal fur just like I did with our fella Merry in this tutorial.
You can find the result as an asset within the Blender Universe asset library for free for a limited time.

Please follow the following steps if you use the Syberian Cat Fur asset:
1. Drag and drop it in your scene from the Blender Universe library.
2. Move the collection to the world origin.
3. Go to object - apply - make instances real.
4. You'll now be able to see the different fur systems and the geometry nodes that shape them.
Cheers,
Nino

Love the nodes
18:35 you are best blender tutorial guy ever. i love you
Excellent series, thank you!
Appreciate that! Thanks
This is great. By far the best guide I've seen on Blender fur.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome videos, man!
Thanks a lot!
Loved it! And wow 2 more parts coming up, going fully furry 😁
Fantastic thank you sm
Glad you like it!
when i added the duplicate hair node, it created the new hairs as a cloud aound the mesh instead of on the surface like yours. anyone know what i did wrong?
I have some issues My hair are thin and I can make them thicker
*How can you set the number of points on the curve here?*
hey dope stuff! is it possible to turn this into actual mesh and not have gaps between the hairs? Say you wanted to 3d print it out
Wow, just found y our channel - very nice! Would you be able to do some content on how to make this hair ready for a game engine, i.e. alpha plane workflow or something similar? Really trying to learn more about this
I'll keep it in mind! Thank you for the kind words! 💙
Hmm, it seems as if when i apply the duplicate hair modifier that the hairs sort of get laid on top of the others and not around them.
Nevermind! Of course, it happens when i added way too little curves to start with
How do we bake motion in like the old system?
I'm trying to follow along with this tutorial however when I open the Asset Browser there are no assets in there. Where can I download the essential blender assets? i'm using Blender .4
hey theres no such thing as a density brush, my scult mode settings looks completely diffrent from yours
Hiya. That may be because you selected something else than the curve object when you go to sculpt mode. The sculpt mode for a regular object is different than a hair curve object.
