    I will use the node to generate the curves (extremely useful, thanks), but then apply, add a stiff cloth modifier, and then skin for thickness.

    I was wondering if you have any suggestions on getting these procedurally generated cables to collide with other mesh geometry in the scene? Like which nodes to look at using?

    can't drag the Catenary asset into the node editor anymore as of 4.1.

    how can you put nodes into the asset browser ?

      Make sure you are using 3.2 beta. Also make sure that node groups are enabled in the asset browser filter. Then when you have a node group, right click on the name on the node and choose "mark as asset"

      The amount of cable related addons, tutorials, models related to cables for blender is astounding.
