The gears in the back of my timer are working the yellow faceplate never moves I have replaced it twice thought I had bought a bad one brought it back all the gears on every one of them work but it never makes the yellow timer move what else
The gears in the back of my timer are running the yellow timer in the front never moves I have replaced it twice with new timers and does the same thing
My clock completely stopped working yesterday, I cant hear the time sound at all but the light switch in the same box still works. What do you recommend? Gears arent moving
Hello I have a pool as well but only one of the gears spin inside it is that normal it doesn’t turn on every time I set the time. And I don’t hear any ticking
I have 2 of these timers side by side. The timer for my pool filter would turn off but not on. Turns out the timer and motor itself are fine but the little metal rocker bar behind the timer wheel is worn down enough that the On pin slips over and doesn't trigger any longer. I haven't been able to find replacement parts for the T104R so I've been manually switching on my pool pump for a few weeks now. This morning I thought I would be slick and see if I could at least temporarily swap the plate with the metal rocker bar from my pool sweep timer and put it in my pool filter timer. I removed the timer wheel, removed the c-clip holding on the two remaining plates but my problem now is getting the spring clip that is between the two plates in the right position for the assembly to trigger the timer switch. I've tried to find any videos on removing and reassembling these parts but I can't find anything. I'm starting to think no one actually repairs these timers, they just replace them. Has anyone seen any tips on reassembling the plates behind the dial and how to set that spring clip, or am I just going to have to order a whole new timer assembly?
Anytime we run into issues like that. It’s best to replace the timer itself. If you’re looking for a video to replace the timer/dial as a whole that will fix the issue also remember timers only last so long before having your replace them
If you have a mechanical timer, you would put a on and off tripper for the time you wanted to come on and off with a gap and then another one and off tripper. I’ve had some customers that have four sets of them.
Hello, The gears behind are moving fine, but the yellow part itself does not rotate anymore. There is a little metal piece with a hammer head hanging down a bit below the yellow dial that looks out of place (we had house sitters who may have done something to it). Any thoughts are appreciated...
Have you ever seen a timer that stops at a certain time we have a brand new timer that stops at 6 am every morning and that's when it should come on but it just stops it will turn off but the timer stops at the on time any ideas
If the time is set correctly and you have a on and off tripper set if the timer stops working and it’s not because of the trip or that’s causing it to go off like normal. Sounds like it might be an electrical issue.
@@ClearlySeen I know that the time is right because we have to set it after 6 am because that's when the clock stops so when we wake up the clock is on 6 am and then we have to reset the clock it turns off fine
I have a timer issue where when the off tab shuts the system down. It shuts down the timer motor as well so it won’t make it to the on tab and turn itself back on. Wondering if the motor wires are backwards. Would it matter..
Hi there. I have one of these timers for my in floor cleaner. It runs fine but I notice after s couple days it gets off by an hour or so but hasn't lost any power. Any ideas? Thank you.
The motor that’s on the back of the timer could be on its way out. One other thing that could be an Issue make sure you’re on and off tripper isn’t bent if is in would recommend replacing them with new ones from the pool store.
It could be a programming issue on your motor if you have a variable speed pump. The motor could be over heating is another probability. You can check the timer and depending on which one you have I would make sure you only have 1 on tripper and 1 off tripper. If it’s a variable speed pump I would go into the settings and check the scheduling.
If it’s not maintaining the proper time then it will be the motor on the back of the timer dial. If it is keeping time then it’s going to be the trippers that need to be replaced
If you have a variable speed pump, you would need to turn it on at the pump if you do not have a variable speed pump I would make sure you’re getting power to the timer and if you are, this could be a issue with your motor
Sounds like you may not have a timer box. I would recommend getting one installed if you don’t have one it will turn the pool pump on and off for you without you having to do anything.
I would recommend checking to see if the current time is being kept. If the arrow pointing at the time doesn’t move then it’s the timer motor. I would assume the on and off trippers are already on.
@@ClearlySeen clock doesn’t move. I checked the gears. The close one doesn’t move and the back one stutters. From your video, it seems like I have to replace that motor. Couldn’t find the link to new motors. Please send and thanks for the help

It sounds like you just need the gearbox just check for the link in the description

If it’s a digital variable speed pump, then you’re gonna have to go into program it

I would have your local pool service come out and replace the timer motor it’s located on the back of the dial.
@@ClearlySeen thanks
Does not switch off..but the gears are moving
I would replace the on and off trippers

@@ClearlySeen well that would be unfortunate because it's a brand new house that we just moved in
I would double check that the time is set correctly on the timer and then check your on and off tripper see what the times say first.

Might just upgrade to a WiFi timer if we can't figure it out
So what happens if my motor is working and yet the clock still not working
It sounds like it could just be a gear issue. You can buy the whole section that comes with the gearbox.

Usually the motor on the back of the timer is bad a replacement motor on it is the fix.
@@ClearlySeen will be looking into that. thank you.

Check the description for the motors
The pool tie motor keeps the time but it does trip off.
I would replace the off tripper with a new one.
