You sold me on the hydro turf brother, I was looking at a cheaper brand on amazon, and in the end, I only want to do this once and I think spending a few more bucks on it initially may save me several hundred dollars in the end by not having to replace it. The cheaper brand does no say 3m on it, and My luck it won't work. Thanks again on the several month review, and I need to install the belt buckle for my rods, I have my wife's shorter rods in the rod storage, but I like the longer rods and I love to fly fish for sun fish etc as well. so those fly rods are really long. I agree it would look great on the side walls, but like you, I think initially getting the floor done etc. maybe later do the side walls. Thanks again brother for making this video for us. Have a blessed week. Dale
These videos are very helpful thanks! Subscribed. I have the identical boat except it’s a 1654 and plan on doing the same thing. I also hunt out of mine. Question is about drainage. How did you do the bottom floor? Did you go tight around the edge on the bottom floor or did you leave a gap all the way around? I know my boat drains any water that gets in the bottom through the edges/seams in that bottom deck. Does the hydroturf create a dam and cause any draining issues when you get water in there from rain/riding/washing? Much appreciated!
Thoughts on flat vs the single rib like you did? I duck hunt and I’m thinking flat may hold Mud less and I’m thinking the ridges may catch dog nails and get a little torn up from that
Going for a long shot here maybe you will maybe you won’t reply lol. It’s been a longer than a year how has it been holding up? Is your boat mostly kept outside in the sun or inside or outside under a cover?
Nice job. Two questions; I bought grooved camo similar to yours. When it arrived I discovered it was not square. Did you have this issue? Did you trim it before cutting? When making a seam, joining two pieces together side by side, how did you place them together, groove to ridge or ridge to ridge, or just how they fell?. (Not sure that made sense.) Did you try to keep the groove and ridge pattern?
damn, you did a good job on the cutting. I'm looking to get a couple sheets for my xpress boat. floor gets really hot in this Arkansas heat during the summer. thanks for the video, huge help man.
Bob. I’m going to be putting some of it on painted plywood this week. My concern was exactly what he said below so I’m just going to use some wood screws and washers to help hold it down on the edges.

The Hydroturf made your boat GREAT AGAIN! 🇺🇸
That’s for sure. Thanks for watching
I've seen a ton of hydro turf videos... yours looks good. I like the boat buckles !! thanks for video
Thanks
I have the same Swamp Camo. I did my seats first now I am doing the floor. I noticed the green has faded to grey. Has yours faded?

Is that dirt in the center where you mainly walk or did the color start to fade ?
Yes it’s just dirty from hunting
Good info! When you clean it, just simple rinse with hose and scrub or pressure wash?
Love your sign ;)

You probably right on the mud sticking less to the flat vs the groove but I have never tried the flat. Should be good. Thanks for watching

Does it matter what temperature you put it on,thinking about doing my floor inside where it's around 70 degree
70 should be a good temp.

Mine was square. I pretty much just laid them together however it fell. Thanks for watching

Thanks. I hope it helped. You will really like it
thanks for the follow up video, where did you order it from?
I ordered mine off eBay
Do you think it would stick to painted plywood? Thanks for your video!
The only thing I would be worried about is the paint coming loose from the plywood, but let me know how it holds up if you try it. Thanks
