Nate is now known as the Foam God
Amazing work as always guys!!!
Awesome job !!!
Awesome!!! That says it all
The problem with this video is you guys make it look so easy!!! Thanks for the pointers and advice. I am getting ready to tackle a similar project.. Ill be happy if it looks half as good!! :D
You’ll do well!
Looks incredible boys and what’s more awesome is the relationship the crew has developed, completely priceless ❤️👏👏
Frankie’s work always looks A+
I just started my first time tiny boat, going to be a duck/ bass boat and i'm using your vids religiously right now!
I think the white latches looks good!
Awesome vid I've considered this for my tiny boat
Awesome, thank you!!
You're welcome!
Big help!
NICE... 👍🏼🔥
WTH y’all are right down the rd from me! I’m in auburn
I watch all your vids bro keep em coming! Hey I’m taking your advice and replacing my tracker wood floor with aluminum instead. What thickness would you recommend I use? I’m using gator skins throughout! Love that stuff just like you guys do!!!
Looks great. How durable is it and can you remove it if needed without leaving glue behind.
Come do mine next week, Arkansas
nice
Would you cut out the seat pedestal the same you did hatch locks or would mount those on top?
I am up in WI and its still cold. Is there a minimum temp i should wait for to install this? Been wating for a year to do this and im finally ready!
Will the adhesive backing stick to HDPE?
I like the idea of this approach a lot better than making templates and pre-cutting individual sections. My only question is once you've put the entire piece down, how do you find the "seams" for all the deck lids to go back and cut them? I mean, you obviously know generally where they are, but how do you find them so precisely that you get it on the first try?
You feel for it
Great video, thank you! I have a question, the guy that I bought my 16' X 50" from had someone spray in a bed liner of some sort. My truck has LineX sprayed in the bed. What ever they used on the boat is not Line X. Anyway, will the 3M backing stick? I'm wanting to turf the decks.
@@TinyBoatNation Thank you for the reply. I was hoping to get around sanding it down. I'm debating buying new aluminum and using the old deck as a template.
What color hydro turf foam are you using in the video? The options in the link are hard to tell. Is it the Duck Camo?
PLEASE HELP!!! I’m replacing carpet in my 2004 tracker PT 174 with EVA foam, and am wondering how to deal with the gaps between lids and deck or boxes due to the carpet having been rolled over the edges of the lids??? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!
yo you guys need an OLFA knife. go to your local tint/ audio shop ask those techs what olfa they use and there youll find the best blade tool.
Hi Michael, do you know me how long does hydroturf last because i’m thinking about buying some but i dont want to change it every year. Thanks you for everything i love your channel! 🎣🔥🔥🔥
@@TinyBoatNation I got a boat cover will it change something?
I couldn’t really tell from the video, does the hydroturf sit under the lip of the latches, or butt up right to it?
I cut out the top of the cut groove after tracing it so the latch fit flush, but still won’t spin around
How does the foam wear over time? I’ve read a few reviews that it will wear in spots. I uses my boat 100 plus days a year so if something else is better to use I would like to know.
I am building a fiberglass boat now 13 ft long with a 1100 jet-drive. Looking forward to install a higher rpm motor 1300. More horses and better water pic up.
Does hydro turf stick to a heavy non skid like bed liner?
Not very good but yes
Anyone know where I can order those compartment handles?
TBNation.net
Tried to veiw the "overlap" part acouple times. Do you just butt them together or was there something "special" you did there?
Overlap them and then cut straight in between them
@@TinyBoatNation thx for the reply
Can u out this stuff over plywood ?
Yes, but you have to resin coat and smooth out the word for a glossy surface before it sticks
How much is that
Hey TBN! I have a 17ft all aluminum bass boat I am thinking about doing eva foam in. Plan to do the whole boat. How many sheets do you think I would need? Also, it has carpet currently so will it look bad around the hatches (gaps)? Thanks!
7 sheets should do it.
@@TinyBoatNation I appreciate it but I am thinking I might do carpet now lol. Thank you!
no shit this stuff is so over priced @@4ReelAnglin
@@chrispeterson1247 I agree the price seems very high, after doing my boat with HT (video on my channel of the install) I believe the quality is very good and yes carpet is cheaper but HT is just peel and stick. If you where to figure up the cost to have someone install carpet it may not seem so expensive to do the HT. Just my opinion.
7 sheets of this stuff is over like 900 dollars lol you can carpet a bass boat for like 300 bucks oh i see you got yours sent to you for free lol@@4ReelAnglin
Anyone know an installer in Ohio or Kentucky?
Dose this stick to plywood?
Yes with contact cement
How much does a job like this cost ???
A couple grand or so for someone to do it. To DIY it, it's just the cost of sheets.
All the camo. I am a bow hunter. Trying to be cool? When your wife's boyfriend drowns you, you will be so well camoe'd, no one will ever find you and the life insurance is so good it makes the value of your boat worthless. Will a duck not see that bright white deck fitting? Just kidding you guys. Greetings from South Africa. Omacron country.
