Very nice job on your boat. I have a question, where you live, how many rods are you allowed to have out at a time? I live in Oregon and out here it is 1 or 2 depending on if you pay extra for a permit and if the lake or river allows 2 rods. Your Hydroturf job was very good. Have you considered getting a separate Li-Ion battery for your electronics, and leave your starting battery for bilge, running lights and big motor? Your boat is super dialed in.👍 tight lines and happy thanksgiving
Hey Brian. In Georgia there isn't a rod limit for general sport fishing except for 1 rod required for trout fishing and 2 rod limit for designated public fishing lakes which are only a few lakes that I don't frequent. Also I have only recently purchased a lightweight Dakota 23mah lithium battery to power my livescope setup I just got, otherwise all my electronics are still wires to my starting battery and the trolling motor has it's own dedicated deep cycle battery. If I had more room for a larger battery without sacrificing weight I would consider that but everything runs pretty smooth thrnway I have it. Hope that's insightful. I really appreciate you watching!
@MOOREFISH Very easy to service, I can easily reach all the parts unlike other outboards that discourage you from maintenance. I have no issue with service, I regularly maintenance mine and she runs like the first day I got her 2 years ago.
I would by a 16ft and make sure its 12 to 16 inches wider then it is, but could only fit a 14ft in my garage with the trailer. Glad you like the content. I appreciate you watching.
I had a tread plate floor underneath it. It was already welded and manufactured that way. I wanted trwad plate to prevent the slipping. But I just acetone it and stuck it down and it worked amazing.
Reads great. Sometimes the screws loosen, that may have occurred at the time I made that video, but I frequently check to ensure it's level before going out on the water because I want the best reading. Thanks for the insight.
How have you mounted the seats to the benches? I can't tell if you have access to under them to use bolts. I have Lund benches filled with foam so I'm trying to figure out seat mounts that will be secured in the wood top benches becauae its not aluminum top I can't rivet.
I had my seat bases custom welded. But the captains chair has a tilt and slide base welded to the side of the bench which is also my storage hatch. The passenger chair is mounted with a regular attwood base that you have to cut a hole to fit, but it is a livewell under that bench hatch.

@MOOREFISH Very easy to service, I can easily reach all the parts unlike other outboards that discourage you from maintenance. I have no issue with service, I regularly maintenance mine and she runs like the first day I got her 2 years ago.
@@fishingistherapy Roger Dat! Thank you for the information😁
Happy to help! Tightlines!
Some great ideas . Nice job
Thanks tried to make the mods simple but efficient to make life on the water better.
I just seen your channel and I liked your video. If you had it to do over would you buy a 14 or 16 foot boat?
I would by a 16ft and make sure its 12 to 16 inches wider then it is, but could only fit a 14ft in my garage with the trailer. Glad you like the content. I appreciate you watching.
Awesome setup 👏👏👏 a fishing machine thank you for sharing God bless you sir got a new sub.....
Thanks for supporting the channel and subbing. I appreciate you watching. More to come soon
This an awesome boat. We’ll done
Thanks. Had fun modifying it.
Thanks a bunch! Class act job. Hope I can make mine nice as well.
Glad you like the build, hope it assists in making your setup convenient and nice as well.
What do your floors look like? Did you build out a subfloor before putting laying that flooring material?
I had a tread plate floor underneath it. It was already welded and manufactured that way. I wanted trwad plate to prevent the slipping. But I just acetone it and stuck it down and it worked amazing.
Reference this video to see how I did it and what the floor looked like. ruclips.net/video/qXzhrTUw3jQ/видео.html
Do you know the shaft length of your trolling motor shaft? I'm gonna be purchasing me one soon. Thanks and be safe
It's a 54inch shaft, 55lb thrust. Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoy yours. I definitely enjoy mine.
@@fishingistherapy thanks man,.....building my boat out is so much fun.. ...I got ocd...hahhaa lol be safe
@@buckreynolds1779 Same here😂! Be safe to you as well.
Is your transducer level both ways when it is the water? It looks like it’s crooked. It won’t read properly if it’s not.
Reads great. Sometimes the screws loosen, that may have occurred at the time I made that video, but I frequently check to ensure it's level before going out on the water because I want the best reading. Thanks for the insight.
Outstanding
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
That's a great setup.
Thanks Dale, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and my build.
Hello what is the material of ground please
From france thank you
It's called Hydroturf- the specific kind I have is 3m backed Duck Camo color.
@Fishing Is Therapy thank you so much. I've taken a lot from your videos. Good energy too.
@Heather Prosseda Means a lot. Glad the video was helpful and you got a lot out of it. I have updated a few things and will be putting out an update soon. Stay tuned.
Great lookin boat!

Thank you. I used 2 1/2 sheets of hydroturf "duck camo". Ordered directly from the hydroturf website. Type in duck camo.

Your boat looks great! I just subscribed to your channel. I'm hoping to get a similar boat for my son and I to go fishing with when we go camping.
Thanks for the support. Definitely think your son will enjoy this boat. You will also enjoy it overall. Very high quality.
Great video!
Greatly appreciated. More to come soon.
First time watching your video,
Definitely like,subscribe .
If nothing else you’d make one hell of a patch man for someone out there ha,
Great job, excellent little boat,
Also they do make a quick release slide for the terrova that allows it to slide back 6” when stowed, makes it easier for docking not having so mush motor hanging over bow
Search minn Kota & bass pro, bp is where I got mine, off hand I can’t think of it’s actual name, but they have them, anyways great job young man
Thank you Stacey. I am looking into the quick release now, very helpful advice. I appreciate you watching.

Is it, been using mine 8 yrs
This looks to have better design, mine is a pain half the time, but works
@@staceywhitehurst682 Nice. Thanks for the name. I like that one as well
How did you attach those rod holders?
The rear rod holders I used a rivet nut and tool. Pretty sure it was M8 size I used. For the cannon rod holder I used half inch panhead #6 half inch screws. Hope this helps.
Nice boat !
Thanks. Had a blast modifying it
Very nice set up. Looks like you set it up perfectly and comfortable for you. Nice.
Btw where’d you get the portable charger? Been looking for one that last at the least a full day.
Thx
I got my portable charger from Amazon. It came with 2 chargers and they are still holding strong today. Here is the link. www.amazon.com/dp/B07XFBN7HX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

That would be cool. I'm down for that. We can link up. Yeah the crappie fishing is going to pick up soon.
nice rig! good job!!
I appreciate that, she has treated me well. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Do you know what kind of mounts you have for your seats on the back boxes
I have the wise 8WD70 sliding bracket on the captains chair with the base welded into the box. The passenger side is just a standard seat mount base from attwood welded into the box base.
Really nice setup!
Definitely appreciate that man.
Where can I get one of those no drill transducer mounts?
I bought mine off tacklewarehouse because I wanted the black color for my boat, but Amazon has it available in white. Here is the link I used. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Stern_Saver_Mounts/descpage-STRNSV.html
@@fishingistherapy awesome!!! Thank you for your help! Enjoyed the video too. You have a sweet set up. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
Thanks, glad I could help, appreciate you watching. More coming soon
I remember my other question, how hot does the hydroturf get in the hot Georgia sun? Hotter than carpet? If you know a welder, have them weld you a base for your chairs to use on land when you camp. Those chair are the bomb! You can sit in them all day without your butt going numb.
That's a great idea, will see if I can make the mod happen. The hydroturf does nit get hot at all in the summer, carpet does, I can walk barefoot on my hudroturf no matter how hot it is. Best hot weather comfort purchase yet.l, besides my bimini top.
Nice work, subbed & fb.
Thanks for subbing. Glad you enjoyed the content.
So, This is the way you do a jon boat. Looks like lots of cash even without the go pro. ; )
Hey I did it on a budget, one small addition at a time. Glad you enjoyed the content.
