Helps to make a day on the water more like Zen. I'd definitely put your Fishing Is Therapy logo on the boat. What a cool name, because fishing is therapy. Tight lines.

    Move the pivot mounts further back as far as you need with someone on the other side helping you, mark and mount where you need them.. you can then either fill the small holes touch them up with factory touch up paint, or get flush plugs that will fit them, been there done that, love them jon boats, good luck,

    Really nice job on that boat! You've given me some good ideas for mine. Having the Garmin monitor on a pivot, mid boat is a winner. I have the seats you use and they really are worth the extra money. Right now my biggest problem is I can't get a day of wind speeds under 20 mph! I'd be curious to know the windiest conditions you'll fish.

    • @fishingistherapy
      @fishingistherapy  2 года назад

      Glad the content and boat mods have found value for you. Yes that pivotal mount is a game changer. Until I get spotlock the widest I have fished was about 20mph because it is hard to anchor properly. How about you?

    Nice work on the boat! I'm looking at jon boats and you've given me some ideas. But I would never want vertical rod storage near where I am casting....I would be hitting that all the time, especially when casting side-arm.

    Really nice job! Boat looks great. I build wood boats and have similar configurations.
    I really like how neat and well organized things are.
    You can buy two additional brackets to relocate Bimini top if needed so you can suite to your conditions Re direction of the sun.
    Be safe and enjoy!
    Again super job.

    I gotta tell you! You need a chain on top of your boat anchor so it will lay down to grab, found this out last year, I use a 5lb grappling anchor. On a 16ft modded v, holds me in good current! Make sure to attach to the bottom of the anhor vs top so you can use a cheap zip tie to hold onto the top hole on the anchor(ment to snap off when stuck), 4ft of chain really helps!

    • @fishingistherapy
      @fishingistherapy  2 года назад +2

      That's great insight will definitely implement that tip. Your right about that. Appreciate you sharing!

    • @briangullickson9013
      @briangullickson9013 Год назад +1

      I’ll second the chain just above the anchor and add a tip.. mark the rope about 5 feet from the chain by painting, tying a small loop or knot so you’ll know when the chain is almost at water level during retrieval. It’ll help prevent you from rubbing your chain or anchor into the side of boat. @fishingistherapy

    I think that bimini top is a must have for them hot sunny days as well as rainy days cuz that glare from the sun off the water can give you a serilous sun burn especially if ur sippin any alcohol! I got fried several times on a hot gorgeous day on a river. Another idea is put one of them wing things on your motor lower unit and a stain lees steel prop but ask to get the right prop for your engine you will plain out very quickly n boat will operate better all I have is a 15 hp johnson n Im thinking about it already I saw it on a video but Im guessing with a new motor you may not need it at all. on your "break out another thousand": or BOAT its easy to blow too much money on a BOAT

    • @fishingistherapy
      @fishingistherapy  2 года назад

      Yeah your right. The bimini top is a must. And I do hear the stainless steel prop can help with performance. Will look into it. But your right about the expenses racking up quickly.

    Now you just need the cables for the millennium seats, so much nicer than the straps on the seats

    • @fishingistherapy
      @fishingistherapy  26 дней назад

      I agree, planned on upgrading them but the strapa are holding up so well, that I think I will wait until the straps start to wear out before I replace them with the cables.

    • @chevyon37s
      @chevyon37s 26 дней назад +1

      @@fishingistherapy I get that! I replaced the straps on my seats with cables because myself and passengers often snagged the straps when moving about the boat and the cables really eliminated that for me as they’re low profile

    • @fishingistherapy
      @fishingistherapy  26 дней назад

      @chevyon37s Nice, that sounds like what I need. Going to look into the cables now.
