Great man , I’m 15 years old and made enough money to buy a Jon and to put a couple upgrades and paint. You help me pick what and where I should add things thank!!,
Great stuff. Glad the video and my mods helped you out. Definitely appreciate you watching!
Keep it up . Awesome to hear you start the journey so young. Tight lines !!!
@ChrisSmith-em5vv I definitely will, been a great journey, im learning and will learn so much. I appreciate you watching!
That boat is sweet ,I love those seats.
Thanks. I agree, the seats are a must and they upgrade your experience out on the water.
This is one of the best boat builds with stuff "I" like. Great job!
That's huge, appreciate that. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
I like what you did. It is funny when you get the boat, then comes all the great ideas, and then you run out of room quickly. You maximized your space very well.
Thanks. Yeah before purchasing my boat I saw that maximizing space was a common problem. I was very careful with my mods to avoid this issue. I like how it turned out. Thanks for watching!.
I've been running Jon Boats since I was a kid... the mods you have are thoughtful and very well laid out! Keep up the great work!
--Tight lines,
B
Means alot. Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the content. More to come soon!
Dude, you did an awesome job. Great little things like clips that keep cooler in place is very thoughtful. Always impressed with people who maximize the space they have. Helps to make a day on the water more like Zen. I'd definitely put your Fishing Is Therapy logo on the boat. What a cool name, because fishing is therapy. Tight lines.
Greatly appreciate the love and that you found value in the content and my setup. My goal was to do exactly that...make it zen and therapeutic. Always looking to make the day more about enjoying the outdoors and fishing versus dealing inconveniences.
Sweet! Great ideas!
Thanks Adrew, glad you found value in the content. Appreciate it!
I love your logo, put it on your boat.
Thanks. I am looking for a good website or shop near me that can print it up. Any recommendations?
Crazy amount of work you’ve put into that sled, thanks for sharing.
Glad you can appreciate it! Thanks for watching, means alot!
That is one of the best equipped Jon boats I have ever seen, you can buy trays that bolt to the chairs, they are awesome
That means alot. Glad you enjoyed the boat and mods. I will definitely look into the trays for the seats.
Yo!.. Really great stuff, simple, sturdy, not cluttered and its ALL usable tools.. Its like, Practical and minimal.. AND still seems really really upscale because all a guy sees" on this build.. is quality stuff. Everything a person needs to enjoy fishing and not tons of fluff... enjoyed the video..
That's exactly what I was going for. Glad my ideas and mods shined through. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed.
I knew I loved ya when I saw the clever usage of the Milk Crate!! I've used them for garage storage for the last 30 years. Great Job on the boat man.
I appreciate it Richard. Yeah I had to make the milk crate usable and effective. Thanks for the compliment on the boat. I always strive to make my setups practical.
That looks great!
Well done!
Thanks Vinson, I appreciate you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the boat and the video.
Damn son you pimped that jon boat out 😂Thing is so nice I'd probably forget to go fishing half the time and just cruise around in it 🤣
I'm guilty 🤣..love to ride around in it.
This is a sweet build! Really dig the setup!
Thanks Keith. Appreciate it, hard to complain when I set it up exactly how I wanted it.
I just found this video, been thinking about getting a jon boat but kicking ideas about making it leisure as well as fishing. Love this boat of yours.
I had the sane thoughts, which is why I decided to build my boat the way I have. Glad I did it, I enjoy my boat as well as my family. I'm glad you like my boat and appreciate you watching. I would go for it, if you can't find sufficient reasons why you shouldn't.
Move the pivot mounts further back as far as you need with someone on the other side helping you, mark and mount where you need them.. you can then either fill the small holes touch them up with factory touch up paint, or get flush plugs that will fit them, been there done that, love them jon boats, good luck,
Martin
Appreciate the great advice. Will do. Thanks.
That’s a slick boat man.
Thanks appreciate it. She definitely turned out better then I thought.
......u rock luv intro. So true about fishing is therapy
Thanks glad you like my intro. Yes indeed fishing and getting outdoors is therapy, we all need it, nature provides it for free!
Man I think I've seen you fishing where i work. Great job!
What lake do you work by? Also thanks for watching
Buddy that’s a badass boat, great job !!!! I’m starting with adding attachments to mine and you gave me some great ideas.
Thanks man, I'm glad you got some good ideas out of this build. It's going to be a fun journey building out your setup. Hope it turns out great! Now you have a good spring project!
That thang is pretty!
Thanks...glad you enjoyed the walk through and how it came out.
Purdy dang awesome boat dude!
Thanks, I'm glad she turned out well. Appreciate you watching, and for commenting!
Awesome video this thank you for sharing 🎉
My pleasure, I appreciate you watching!
Very nice! Looking GOOD!!
Thanks John. It has been a blast modifying this boat. Turned out better than I imagined.
Awesome boat 👍 I'm planning on going with that same hydroturf pattern for my jon boat. I'm not too far from you up here in Guntersville. Tight lines and keep it up! Subscribed^
Thanks man. I know you will like the hydroturf, I will be putting out a 1-year update of of my hydroturf put soon. Stay tuned and tight lines!
Really nice job on that boat! You've given me some good ideas for mine. Having the Garmin monitor on a pivot, mid boat is a winner. I have the seats you use and they really are worth the extra money. Right now my biggest problem is I can't get a day of wind speeds under 20 mph! I'd be curious to know the windiest conditions you'll fish.
Glad the content and boat mods have found value for you. Yes that pivotal mount is a game changer. Until I get spotlock the widest I have fished was about 20mph because it is hard to anchor properly. How about you?
Great video I just got the same boat love it keep making good content
Thanks Nick. I know you love the boat already if you got one. I'm telling you, you will have zero regrets!
Love the Bimini top
Thanks Ed, appreciate it. The bimini top is a game changer during these hot summer days.
@@fishingistherapy for sure
That is crazy spacious with all you have done. Nothing beats a Jon boat
I added a 3 foot track for my bimini so I could adjust it forward and rear, also is the same as a T track which allowed me to add Rail Blaza mounts
I like that track idea. How did you fit it on the Curved gun Wales? I think I may try that out.
@@fishingistherapy Mine has a 2 inch flat gunnel on it, but they also sent me brackets to mount vertically as well
Yeah I have to find a way around the rounded gunwales.
My little Tohatsu has been a great motor too, hot/cold she fires up. The seats are killer too my boat is set up very similar. Good stuff
Glad you can relate and appreciate how good the outboard and seats are. Lovebthe reliability of both. What size boat do you have?
that's one slick set up
Glad you like it. Appreciate you watching!
very well dun. very well presented
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the content. That was my aim.
Very nicely done! I'll use some of your ideas. Your boat makes my 50 year old jon boat look kind of trashy! LOL
Thanks I appreciate it, but having a 50yr old jon boat that's still floating snd running is what I aspire to have. That's cool to have that much history on a boat!
Slick boat my man!
Thanks Austin. Appreciate it.
sick ass boat man, great video!
Thanks man, It turned out better then I imagined.
great video, thanks for sharing.
Your welcome, Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!
Great video. You're right about the therapy, you know.
Thanks Brass teeth. Yes indeed. I think fishing and being outdoor is a high level of therapy. Just getting on the water brings so much peace.
Your rig is freakin awesome!!!!!!
Appreciate the love chad..glad you like it
i looooove this, great vid!!!
Thanks, I had fun making it and modifying it.
That my friend is Exactly what I'm gonna do to my boat
You won't regret it. I have no complaints and these mods have made life so much better on the water.
Looks amazing 👏

Thanks bro. Appreciate it and glad you enjoyed the video.

Thanks man!
Damn maybe the best jonboat I’ve seen
Thanks Jake. Appreciate it. It came out better than I thought.

Great boat man.
Thanks Mike, appreciate it.
Nice boat man!
Thanks appreciate it. Loving the boat! Stay tuned.
Great job and well thought through my brother, I got a 16’ 83 alumacraft Jon boat, I totally gutted it, took out steering console, live well gone bare bones. Been running a evinrude 9.9 stock short shaft, planning on getting a 40 jet, I run the juniata river in pa. Great bass, channel cats and musky if you’re lucky enough. Will use some of your ideas if you don’t mind but I will try to keep this boat as light as possible. Really sweet video, Fish On!
That's beautiful to hear. Yeah a 16ft wide open is the way to go. Appreciate you checking out the content. Glad you like the boat. Yeah man I have never been after musky but I hear its a blast. Glad some of the mods are useful to you. Get that therapy!!
Beautiful and functional. Love it.
Thanks. Glad you appreciate the functionality.
Very well laid out for a jon
Thanks I tried to lay it out in the most efficient way for my style of fishing. Appreciate you checking out the boat!
Cool boat!
Thanks
Real cool show! I also have a Tuhatsu 20hp. Thinking about a Mud Motor for a 2nd power source. Your modification hit home with my aspiration. Keep making your films. I need friends like you.
Glad you enjoyed the show. And I know you are enjoying that 20hp. Yeah my mods are making my life easier on the water. Stay tuned. What part of the country are you in?
Good job it looks nice
Appreciate it, thanks for watching!!
Love your setup and it gave me quite a few good ideas. Thank you.
Thanks Todd. I have been inspired by many other boats and I am happy it turned out very functional.
Great job! I love the setup of your boat and I’ve gotten a few ideas from this.
A solar panel mounted atop your Bimini would help run your trolling motor.
That would be cool. I have no idea where to start for that or where to put it when it's stored. But that's a idea to consider
Great video bro! Solid all the way around.
Appreciate that seth. Glad you received it well.
Wow wow that's a beautiful boat, looks diferent now
Thanks man. I have tried to make it exactly how I want it. I'm happy with it.
Awesome job
Thanks Gregg. Appreciate it.
My dude you thought of everything
Thanks, I definitely tried to think of everything, especially what will make life easy and more efficient on the water. Appreciate you watching!
Best build I've seen, I want it!! You should build em and sell em
That's a Great idea. If I had the resources I definitely would. Glad you like the build.
Nice rig!
Thanks man. Appreciate it!
👍 man I want one so bad that’s awesome
Yeah stay focused on getting one and you will. I finally got mine after years of waiting and the time was perfect, couldn't have gotten it sooner, I wouldn't have appreciated it as much.
Slick!!! About to start building my 1648
Thanks man. Yeah a 1648 will be perfect. I would have went with a 1648 if my garage could accommodate it. Looking forward to seeing your build.
Great job on the boat man! Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
Appreciate the sub Micheal. Thanks for tuning in. Glad you enjoyed the content!
Best setup ever. Awesome job
Thank you, glad it turned out well. Appreciate it.
Nice work on the boat! I'm looking at jon boats and you've given me some ideas. But I would never want vertical rod storage near where I am casting....I would be hitting that all the time, especially when casting side-arm.
Your correct regarding the vertical rod storage. That idea was scraped quickly. Check out my most up to date videos and you will see how I have changed things. Hope this video helped you. Thanks for checking it out.
@@fishingistherapy I will watch those, too!
@sgib199 Thanks, Hope you enjoy them!
Nice build brother
Thank you brother. Appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed the content.
Ya boat looks great man I'd like to see a before an after
OK I have a 2 year update video premiering today at 6:30. To see how it looked when I bought it there is an older video on my channel you would appreciate when I purchased it.
You are skilled. Need to move! I hear sirens ..
🤣Thanks
I love what you with your boat
Man, I'm glad you like it! Had fun with the mods and making the video. I appreciate you watching!
Nice boat. I bet those millennium seats are great.
Thanks. Yes they make the day on the water very comfortable.
Really nice job! Boat looks great. I build wood boats and have similar configurations.
I really like how neat and well organized things are.
You can buy two additional brackets to relocate Bimini top if needed so you can suite to your conditions Re direction of the sun.
Be safe and enjoy!
Again super job.
Thanks glad you appreciate the mods and layout. I am definitely thinking of adding an additional bracket, that a great idea.
I gotta tell you! You need a chain on top of your boat anchor so it will lay down to grab, found this out last year, I use a 5lb grappling anchor. On a 16ft modded v, holds me in good current! Make sure to attach to the bottom of the anhor vs top so you can use a cheap zip tie to hold onto the top hole on the anchor(ment to snap off when stuck), 4ft of chain really helps!
That's great insight will definitely implement that tip. Your right about that. Appreciate you sharing!
I’ll second the chain just above the anchor and add a tip.. mark the rope about 5 feet from the chain by painting, tying a small loop or knot so you’ll know when the chain is almost at water level during retrieval. It’ll help prevent you from rubbing your chain or anchor into the side of boat. @fishingistherapy
Love it. Will definitely incorporate the great tips. Appreciate you sharing that.
New subscriber. I like your vids.
Love it bro. Appreciate the sub. Stay tuned more content coming soon!!
Solid build, sir. Going to use this for inspiration!
Thanks glad you enjoyed the mods. Have a 1 year update coming in the next few days. Made some more additions and subtracted a few things. Be on the look for it.
Awesome video, love the boat. I’m definitely gonna do something like that in the future! New sub here, watched to the end
Awesome man. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video and can use some of the mods and upgrades. More to come soon once the weather settles!
I’m jealous that’s an awesome boat dude
Appreciate it. Thanks, I'm glad it is well received!
Great work man! Gave me some for sure mods! Thanks and keep up that therapy!👌
Thanks I appreciate it. Glad it helped you with your mods. Will do...you stay at it as well.
New subscriber here. Very informative video, and RESPECT for your inventiveness! 😎
Go with the FiT logo.
Love it...definitely appreciate the sub and glad you enjoyed the content. Good to know you got substance from it. Stay tuned!
Nice boat dude
Thanks appreciate it.
Everything is nice and clean great job
Thanks it makes fishing fun and functional.
I think that bimini top is a must have for them hot sunny days as well as rainy days cuz that glare from the sun off the water can give you a serilous sun burn especially if ur sippin any alcohol! I got fried several times on a hot gorgeous day on a river. Another idea is put one of them wing things on your motor lower unit and a stain lees steel prop but ask to get the right prop for your engine you will plain out very quickly n boat will operate better all I have is a 15 hp johnson n Im thinking about it already I saw it on a video but Im guessing with a new motor you may not need it at all. on your "break out another thousand": or BOAT its easy to blow too much money on a BOAT
Yeah your right. The bimini top is a must. And I do hear the stainless steel prop can help with performance. Will look into it. But your right about the expenses racking up quickly.
Good looking boat! A lot of good ideas, nice job.
Appreciate it. Yeah I'm sure you won't regret any of the mods. Life is much easier with them on the water.
Great setup !! Happy fishing !
Thanks. Tried to remain effective and efficient. Glad you enjoyed.
I really like the seats w/the mesh!
Best seats on the market in my opinion. Warm enough is the colder months and cool in the hot months. Thanks for watching.
Do you have a link for those seats? They look awesome. Thanks and great work
@@davidpatterson8151 Thanks I appreciate it. Here you go.
Millennium Marine B100 Boat Seat, Green a.co/d/4N97vib
Love that floor.. awesome setup
Thanks I'm loving how it turned out. Well worth it already.
Hey brother great job with the boat. I'm truly impressed 👏
Thanks brother appreciate it deeply. Put alot into it..glad it is received well. So far it's been fun taking it out.
Hey! What is your pedal for? My hubby and I are ready to upgrade our new Jon Boat and I really like your upgrades! Thank you for sharing with links!!!
Glad you enjoy the video and mods, I appreciatet it. Can you add a bit of context regarding your question about a pedal?
Now you just need the cables for the millennium seats, so much nicer than the straps on the seats
I agree, planned on upgrading them but the strapa are holding up so well, that I think I will wait until the straps start to wear out before I replace them with the cables.
@@fishingistherapy I get that! I replaced the straps on my seats with cables because myself and passengers often snagged the straps when moving about the boat and the cables really eliminated that for me as they’re low profile
@chevyon37s Nice, that sounds like what I need. Going to look into the cables now.
