I found your video by looking at Hydro Turf colors because I’m leaning towards your color. I just got a new 1654 Southfork that I’ll be having customized. Well I’m ordering more useful stuff thanks to this video and subscribed lol. You should have way more subscribers with this great content keep it up!
Thanks, means alot that your subbed and support the content. Im just enjoying the process of growth. I will get there sooner or later. Glad I could help you with your decision. My hydroturf is still running strong, it makes a huge difference.

So... Hero 7 Black was the last cam from Go Pro I used on regularly. I had too many issues with Hero 8 Black. I ended up switching to DJI Osmo Action original. Loved it. Never had any issues with it. Recently got the Osmo Action 4. Great investment. You should take a serious look into the DJI action cams line. They just work in the hot times and cold times. Great Video and Happy Fishing!
I had not seen the back pack, I am familiar with that company. I was actually thinking about making a back pack for both of the seats in the Jon boat, thought it would be fun to have, you sold it. Thanks for sharing this with us, see up the fun videos. dale
Thanks Dale, glad you like the video. I use the backpack everything I go out. It has become an important part of my trip. The plano tackle box I plan to use, I store it in the backpack so I dont have to go digging for my baits. Stay tuned more to come!
Its called the KEMIMOTO boat seat backpack. Its awesome, has a waterproof ziper design that allows for water drainage at the bottom. I use the backpsck every trip and to put my bait boxes in a convenient fast access area. The link is the first one in the description below the video.
Hey Check out Hill Brothers Rod holders. They are locally here in Georgia. They make some awesome crappie rodholders for spider rig and that night-time bite.
Looking for details on your boat & trailer/motor. Where did you purchase & or was it custom build Can you please reply with details. Perfect setup. Is the trailer shorter than 19’? Appreciate your input!
Hey, thanks for reaching out. I purchased the setup as a package from backwoodslanding.com. I customized my boats layout. They are located in Alabama. The boat is a 1448 Weldbilt welded flat bottom boat. The trailer is 18 1/2 feet, painted steel with 14 inch tires. I know because my garage is 19 feet long, and it fits barely with an inch or so to spare( this was important measurement to fit my needs). The outboard I purchased was a 20-hp long shaft electric start. 11k was what I purchased it for back in 2021.
I’ve actually got the same trailer that you have, have you ever ran into small rust spots getting on it? Also did that hydroturf dampen the sound down of waves hitting the bottom of the boat or walking on it in general, thinking about adding it just for that reason.
Yes to the rust and yes to the sound dampening of the hydroturf. It's ironic youbask about the rust, I just returned from my first saltwater trip with it and it began to rust significantly after only 2 days on saltwater. I used Salt away and just hit it with Ospho to get rid of the rust.
Greta observation. I covered it in the video prior to this one. It's linked at the end of this video. I love the boat seats, they are in almost perfect shape after almost 3 years of abuse. I would definitely purchase them again without hesitation.
Hows the boat do in windy choppy conditions? Is the boat stable? I been looking at jon boats amd just need some feedback on the stability. Im a multi species fisherman like yourself so just wondering about the versatility of the boat as well?
Yes it is. I'm currently driving down to South Carokina to test it out in Saltwater for sheepshead, so if you watch my upcoming video you will see how it does intercoastal, but I am confijn it's stability and durability which is why I'm traveling 5 hours to the saltwater.
I'm fishing the Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan's Island area the first weekend in March, going visit Shem creek, the bridges and boat docks and also the jetties if it's safe to take my boat out there.
