US vs UK Halal Guys | Food Wars
Damn did I miss a blue moon today? Because this is the first time US ones weigh less than UK ones
All the planets alligned
Think cause us UK people like getting drunk a lot and getting halal guys
There were a lot in the Shake Shack Episode
Because, we all know who the uk caters to the most 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@marinadeburgos8666 Most customers of Halal Guys aren't Muslim btw. It began as a Halal cart in Manhattan NY, and in Europe doner-kebabs/gyros are most popular among people who get drunk after leaving clubs/bars.
Although I wonder if the quantity difference is based on price difference (is the UK one more expensive) or is it because the LA location is being stingy (due to higher costs, or due to lower sales because of the pandemic).
The fact that im watching people comparing food that i haven't even seen or cant even get is pretty stupid
same 😂
Trust me it ain't nothing special and you're not missing out, they're known more for the sauces if anything, the red sauce is like eating lava and the white sauce is so creamy
Shut up dude don't make us feel dummer XD
@@nonsense9911 nah the cart in NYC is pretty good its just once they expanded it got worse
@@nonsense9911 post expansion...you are correct, just support your local Middle Eastern food joint..it is probably just the same but the white sauce is as close to an orgasm you can get without sexual conduct
Food wars never gets old
Do they ever take away the weight of the plates?
@@RdeRaro I think they do
How would it with all those perservatives
true af
Hell yeah
The Harry and Joe Show... my fav YT series atm
Thanks!
@@JoeAvella petition for this to become an actual tv show
Loved shooting this one. I love Halal Guys!! That red sauce tho. So tasty but 🥵🥵
Fun Fact: The red sauce is actually called 911 because of how spicy it is.
The hot sauce challenge should be done often. Lots of love from Kenya
Harry and you've been brave!
GLAD UR BACK JOEY
@@shadow_lore that is fun!
I’m still recovering from that hot sauce challenge 💀
Same
I can’t believe you can’t have water with it 😩
I saw Joe do the intro and thought oh dear Harry is not going to like this. You also were putting very thick lines of sauce in comparison.
Just fyi, if you ever go to South Africa (when we can travel freely again) try the Nandos extra peri peri chicken there. Properly spicy!
Pls do Mr beast burger UK Vs us
Out of all the Food Wars episode, this one is probably the weirdest. Never seen US portions being smaller than UK ones
There another one has same thing, but forgot which one
@@gigachad6006 pringles
@@aromlaa7066 almost but still they have different and variety of flavors and portions
Shake shack was the same
not weird
The best thing about the brit is his skin, when he keeps eating hot food he gets reddish that's like his health bar
“This plate kinda getting funky”…. Continues to put fries on it and eats the fries.
I remember when Halal Guys was nothing more than a cart in NYC. Man, they got huge.
53rd St and 6th Ave was my cart bruh 😎
Finally, fast food that is halal on both sides
🤣
lmao 😂
Finally? if you live in the US this has been here for a long time. It used to be just in NYC a long time ago now it's everywhere in America
@@johnjeff9206 I meant in this Food Wars series
@@johnjeff9206 It's still better in NYC; hell, you can get better halal food in NYC than Halal Guys. Astoria is a hotbed.
_This is the first time I am seeing US lose in terms of weight and quantity in US vs UK_ ....
So, apparently Hot Ones needs to include the Halal Guys hot sauce in their lineup?
I got two stripes my first time having it. Ended up sweating and tearing up while eating my food, also drank so much water that i couldn't move.
Food Wars referencing Hot Ones, pinnacle of Food youtube...
What a good idea!🌶
a sponser hot sauce?
Props for the guys for actually doing the challenge lmao
Double props for the editors as well
This is a nice bit of change, never seen you cover halal restaurants before. Nice
They did kfc and where I live in the uk Birmingham and in a mainly Muslim area there’s a halal kfc
there’s been a few halal restaurants they’ve done before (idk what it’s like in the us tho)
@@saifmajid4029 and nando’s and shake shack i believe (i’m in east london and they’re halal here)
they did wingstop they're halal
@@sneakerhead6625 oh yo lol

Huh, I didn’t know this was such a big chain. Cool! There’s not so much in terms of big Mediterranean chain restaurants so good for them. I think I might’ve been to one once.
this series is everything guys pls dont stop!! greetings from holland
Food wars Suggestion:-
Portion sizes and price points of fries from all fast food joints testing which has best price / quality/ calorie count
It feels good to watch both of them in my stressful exam days.
Good luck with your exams!!

Finally something I can watch without any worries
We got the American dude back
Lucky, they didn’t have someone like Jeremy Clarkson as the English guy 😂
Nice to see him back
I never went anywhere

Soybean oil: its a free real estate
Joe's energy really made this series very entertaining 😂😂😂 I love it
These guys are so legit they did a FOOD CHALLENGE in the middle of a Food Wars episode!
The spicy sauce and the small platter, IT LOOKS SO GOOD.
“But it’s like…really good dude” 😂😂😂
Sizes: Small regular and *Sandwich*
Large: The day i lost my identity
Welcome back guys! Feels like it’s been ages since the last episode
This series really suprises me with some of these food places I never knew existed
I'm surprised there isn't an extra large sandwich as the 4th size in the US I was expecting that
He said “we should have a will”….😂🤣
This is literally the only series keeping food insiders alive
Yet again I'm using this channel to teach me about places I've never heard of
Finally food i can actually eat!
you can only eat Mexican food?
@@GeorgeVenturi Halal food. As the name suggests as I'm Muslim.
@@TheDragonaf1 I though it was Mexican with the burrito and halalpenos
@@GeorgeVenturi that’s the most american sentence I’ve ever heard
@@GeorgeVenturi
Not Mexican by the homeland
But the heat it’s own sauce is Mexican
Food Wars is a series that must never end.
Love these vids
You guys are just looking for random places that are is both the US and UK
I love it
I applaud you both for trying that challenge 👍👏👏
Get on hot ones together x
The amount of food chains I didn’t know were in the uk I have found out are from these videos
Nice act Joe,keep up

It a good way to see what food in each country have if planning to travel
This series is literally carrying Food Insider at this point…

Ajajah i like this kind of videos 😊
Wow! This series has so many good foods I should try before passing away! Get them before they're gone! YOLO!
That hot sauce challenge is insane

5:47 that face was so cute omg, poor Harry🥺😂❤️
Joe is amazing as always🥰
Love this series❤️
Wtf
There used to be a Halal Guys location in Michigan and I can confirm they used the same Kronos brand bread also found that same bread being sold at Costco tastes exactly the same too
I feel hungry after watching this stuffs,
even though i just had lunch.
I've literally never heard of this place
Joe reminds me of Rick every minute. 🤣
I love rick
I love Joe discovering how circle's work
lovd this
Love to see Halal Guys be presented on this series! Wish there was a chain near me
This spice challenge should be for Mark Weins
That hot sauce challenge makes it over a million on the heat scale 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes
Y’all need a Patreon for us to donate for bigger scales

Was Joe's scale accurately calibrated lol. I can't believe this
I was waiting for their clothes to blow up while Beethoven played in the background
I used to work near a Halal Guys in West London and I miss that place soooooo much
Halal Guys hot sauce is truly insane 🔥
I love Halal Guys!!! My favorite dish there has to be the one of the Gyros though. Oh, and who could forget the red and white sauce??? The red sauce is tastier but I would prefer the white sauce because it's less spicy
someones awake, and i love how they added other eastereggs its like the RUclips cinematic universe
You guys are making me hungry
Didn’t realize Halal Guys was so well known! I always think of the cart on 53rd and 6th. It was $6 for a platter back in the day! And we’ve all been there where we put too much hot sauce in our platters…now it’s just a few drops haha.
My first time having or even hearing about Halal Guys was in Seoul, South Korea.
I love spicy foods but the Halal guys hot sauce is no joke. This is the only hot sauce that gave me hiccups ... loved it though! I only usually get 3 'strips' (squirted lines)!
yall need an official foodwar scale
Joe's been practicing his ingredients list. Good job!
no we got a better teleprompter
Awesome food wars.
heeey :)
Damn, every time I think this show is dead they still somehow manage to pull something out of their arses.
Watching them both when eating the 20 lines of chili Is funny as heck
I never had a problem with spicy food affecting what... comes out..., which is rare for me cause just about everything else does.
Wendy's comparison is on its way baby 😁
I've not heard of most of these fast food places and I'm in a big UK city...
There’s only one I believe in London which is in Leicester Square
Never heard of it. Will prolly never have in my life. Still watching coz its addicting as heck
Those differences makes total sense.
As far as I know there are very few halal food in the US, in Europe the competitions is tought as halal is the majority of fast food. ( in France and UK can be halal sushi to halal Thai and halal Mexican). And I’m not even talking about regular middle eastern food. So because of the massive competition, halal guys better keep up with its competitive environment in Europe.
I’ve read comments of people saying that portions are generally bigger in the US, I’ve never seen such thing to be true, although drinks sizes are bigger in the US.
the only thing i got from watching this series is that germany is missing out on alot of food.
Same here in Greece ,so don't worry 😅
India too
I live in England and most these places are only in Big cities far away from me so I feel you haha
1050kcal for the big bowl isn't too bad, it lasts me 2 or 3 servings 😂😂
tbh I really don't understand how these guys can find fast food places every episode.. it seems like there so many 😂❤️
I legit go there and buy a single platter just to load up on that hot sauce. I at least get 20 extra packets. I love that stuff.
Finally Halal Guys
The most awaited video in the history of food insider !!!!!!???
Food wars the savior of Food Insider
Is the one in Montreal closed?
He literally said that they need to wash container on the weighing scale and then he puts fries on it and he eats it as well ! 😐😐
Strong immune system
He did it for their fries. 100%. When it comes to food, he doesn't care where from he eats it.
I would have eaten it
The problem with the measurement for the British halal guys meal is that they put the second half in the plastic which added weight. To make it more fair they should’ve put the plastic cover on the U.S. one too
Fun fact: This series is fun
They have stores? I've only seen the food trucks here in NYC.
Jollibee Food Wars pls
Ive had Halal guys hot sauce before…would not recommend it to anyone who isn’t use to spice…and I can regularly Halal food cart hot sauces easily.
Edit: the way they’re reacting to the hot sauce is the my same reaction!
Yep, in Greece we really love fanta
THIS show is great but so many places I cant eat at bummer!
U.S restaurant shorted on their fries. That’s a evil
Almost all the US items weighed less than the UK one, it's usually the other way around for other chains. This series would be so much better if they listed the price differences as well.
@@realtalk6195 It's hard to compare prices, considering the power of currency and worker wages are different. Also, in some chain restaurants (like McDonald's), prices are also dependant on the location (which is why they don't show you the prices on their website in many countries). So as you can see, if they tried to do that, nobody would be satisfied, the prices would be inaccurate or misleading and all other kinds of problems.
@@LordDragox412 You're looking at price from a completely different angle, whereas my only factor is to understand if that played a part in the quantity of food. If you buy something from Manhattan it's going to be more expensive than buying from Queens NY for sure, but that still is useful in helping me make sense of the quantity of the food and whether it's a good deal or not. The US guy is based in LA and the UK guy is based in London, so they should list their respective prices.
@@realtalk6195 this is a food cart you realize? They assemble your order on demand… and they’re not that consistent. Next order could reverse the situation with the US being bigger portions.
RIP Leicester Square branch
I kept hearing "kapu/kamu" (combo) platter 😄
Omg the nesquick chocolate milk on bottle is so good love it. want it so bad. But where i live we dont have those 😭
