Little Caesars is good but I always blow up the toilet. I mean it's good. Don't get me wrong and I'll get it again but I ended up blowing out toilets
Now my last fat shit was at chilli's this past weekend that boy was a 3 flusher. Thought was gonna flood the whole bathroom. honestly probably was a 4 flusher left some skid marks but had to leave the smell was unbearable so left at 3 flushes
Everything on the UK menu is what I'd describe as "Malnourished Pizza", It looks underdone all round, While the US selection looks like they added extra oil everywhere.
I gather the UK pizzas all had to make the 100 mile journey back to the London studio. Managed to make a trip to the last location (Cinnabon) but this one is harder to find.
We live nearby and my partner works for a competitor. After getting bored, we gave it a try, and we were really surprised! For the price, was totally worth it 😂

I worked at Little Caesar’s and I can tell you that the marinara sauce for the crazy bread is the same as the sauce in the pizza 😂

Joe’s pizzas looks way more appealing than what Harry had.
Keeping the boxes closed probably helped keep a lot of the heat in making it look fresher, plus glistening grease always makes things look tastier. If this show has taught me anything, it's that the US puts a lot of chemicals in every aspect of their food so I wouldn't be surprised if that was also a significant factor

Margherita is well known in the US, just usually not offered at the big chains. Are margherita pizzas are typically made with a tomato sauce base, large slices of Mozzarella throughout the pizza used more like a topping rather than the standard shredded cheese layer covering all of the sauce, plus tomato slices and basil leaves. Many non-chain and most "NY Style" slice shops will offer it. The big 4 chains however do not, you can get a cheese and tomato pizza, but that's not considered a Margherita, It's a cheese pizza, topped with tomatoes.
In my area the big chains (most of them at least) do offer margherita, although some don’t

Something I love that wasn’t mentioned because it isn’t technically on the menu: ask for Crazy Crust all over the pizza! I don’t know if this is everywhere, but it’s a garlic butter/Parmesan thing. You can get it on just the crust but it’s also good on the whole pizza!
Plus, it makes the pizza way better than it normally is.

I have a special place in my heart for Little Ceasars. The tomato flavor was strong, and I kind-of like that still. My mother bought it for me as a kid. I think it was because they were the cheapest for the fast food pizzas

I remember they had a meal deal a while back where you got four pieces of "deep dish" pizza and a drink of your choice. BEST deal I ever had then, I gobbled this thing up back in junior year of high school.

this episode was SO honest like they always give 1 compliment 1 diss so it feels balanced but they really did not care about the value of little caesars and just judged by quality
I recently went to the UK and went to Nando’s and I completely understand why peri-peri is loved so much. It’s absolutely amazing.
Little Caesars (and Dominos) started in Detroit. Little Caesar’s HQ is still there. Their Detroit-style is similar to other regional chains in the area. (Jets and Papa Romanos) None of them are exactly like the original, Buddys.

To be fair, I feel like if you ask most people in the Detroit area what defines a Detroit style pizza they would say square and caramelized crust but if you ask most people outside of Michigan they would say square and tomato sauce on top. Not that people from Michigan dismiss the sauce being on top, its just that the reason I get Detroit style pizza is becuase a corner piece of a good Detroit style pizza can't be beat. It's not because I'm like oh the sauce on top makes it so much better.

Wait £5.00 for a 12 inch pizza for either Cheese or Pepperoni, that’s definitely freaking cheap. I’m actually I’m surprised it came out here in the UK as I heard nothing about that, hopefully it expands further so I could try it (I live in Oxfordshire so if it get brought into Oxford I’m definitely checking it out)

@Dimensions Wanna add, I'm from England and i say highschool, though i did go to a highschool and not a secondary school. I say ass and not arse. In units of measurement i use stones and ounces, litre and ml, feet and inches, and MPH. Ya'll is a word i use all the time. There's probably way more too, some words it actually took me years to learn the English word for, for instance i used to always call it a highway, and although there aren't many in this category, i do prefer some American words like elevator
As a kid i grew up watching almost exclusively American content, i only ever really spoke to people online who were mostly American. And same is true nowadays, i mostly watch American shows/content creators, and all my friends are online and a vast majority are American, also i cause of friends/content i know a lot of American brands/products and even politics. One positive to this though is i have never had a language barrier with Americans, like i have seen other English people have, cause when i talk to Americans i just tend to talk American English as it is much easier. Also kinda funnily multiple times people have asked me what state I'm from and refuse to believe I'm from England haha
If you think that's impressive, the US version is bigger and costs us $5. If the conversion rate is still the same, that's about £4.
@@KokNoker yah I’m already aware of that, I’m more shocked that we got a big discount on something that’s way more expensive here in the UK.
Like if you are aware that in the US it’s generally cheaper to get a takeaway than it is to getting groceries and cooking your own meals, well here in the UK it’s the opposite as it’s cheaper for us to get our own groceries and cook for ourselves than it is getting a takeaway.
So by knowing that now get the image of this happening if somehow you get a place (which in us Brits case is a takeout restaurant) opens up that’s comparable price wise to other places (being the grocery stores in this case) but it’s in the industry of our more expensive category it becomes a more bigger deal and honestly shock
Don't get your hopes up to high. It is good for what it is, but not great, you don't get great for those prices, but you get a really good lunch for the price. Hot 'n ready means that you can just walk in and get a hot pizza or cheese bread on a short lunch.

6:33 thats cause in the US a cheese pizza and a margherita pizza are two very different pizzas. A margherita pizza in the us is still basically just cheese and tomato (usually with basil), but it will use more fresh cheese and generally look more rustic. You'd really need to google them both to see the difference, but it is stark.

In the US I’ve always seen cheese pizza as any American style greasy cheese pizza but a Margherita pizza is always a traditional thin crust with blobs of mozzarella
I think it comes down to the cheese and crust (but that’s just me)
Margarita pizza was named for a prominent Italian and should have the colors of the Italian flag (as was it's intention) the red tomatoes, white cheese and green, generally spinach, sometimes gree peppers.

Its usually spinach as the green in my state and crushed basil, think as a seasoning not the whole leaf, on the pizza
We had Little Caesers in the UK in some areas back in the mid-late 80's. Always came in square sizes, tasted great. Glad to see they have returned.
It was square here in the states then too. I wish they’d bring it back for the nostalgia.

Little Caesars was a staple in my childhood. Cheap pizza that wasnt too bad taste wise and always add parmesan on top!! ❤
Pepperoni Italian Cheese Bread and Old World Pepperoni both slap hard.
Their hotnready Detroit Style is really good for the price, better than the regular, but if you are ordering ahead I would suggest doing the pep cheese bread instead. It uses the same cooking method to get crispy sides but the sauce being separate makes the flavor profile better.
Little Ceasars used to taste SO MUCH DIFFERENT when I was a kid. I'm 44 now. I live in a city of less than 60k, and back in the early 90's, Ceasars disappeared completely from my city. When it came back, not only was I surprised it was back at all (gone for like 15 or more years), but even MORE surprised how much it changed! Much cheaper costing AND tasting!! Litte Ceasers DEFINITELY dumbed themselves down so they could stay afloat!! Guess it worked. I have one a 1/4th mile from where I live, and do go there. It's not what I remember AT ALL, but it's cheap...and that can work when on a budget, for sure!!

I live in Detroit, and Detroit style pizza from Little Caesars lacks any form of flavor aside from any toppings you put on it. The one time it did I custom made it with garlic parmensan on it and was amazing! Any of the limited time pizzas are flavorful, but their standard menu items need some more seasonings on them ngl.

The Italian cheese bread is solid, but let's be honest you don't go to McDonald's for a really good burger and you don't go to little Caesars for a really good pizza. You go to little Caesars for a good pizza at a great price/quick meal.
In the USA they also have the pretzel crust and chicken wings. Also in Mexico, putting ketchup on pizza is a very common thing.

Enjoying this video while eating my Little Caesars pretzel crust pizza with cheese sauce. Perfect for people who aren't a big fan of tomato sauce

The us used to have a quatro pizza as well as a bbq smokwhouse pizza, the cuatro was 2 slices of diced marinated tomatos with seasoned sausage, 2 slices of pepperoni, 2 slices of cheese, and 2 sclices of pepp and sausage with italian seasoning sprinkled over it. The smokehouse bbq was bbq sauce base with pepp, ham, bacon, and brisket with a bbq drizzle and a bbq dry rub on the crust. Two of my favorites that i wish theyd bring back instead of the pretzel pizza theyve brought back 5 times... also the fresh mozzarella cheese one that i cant remember the name of.

I would have expected Little Caesar's to open their first UK branch in an area with a high population of students not a random suburb in the East Midlands. (Students being probably more willing to sacrifice quality for cheapness especially after a night out drinking).
There is another lesser known US pizza chain in the UK which is called Snappy Tomato pizza. But it looks like they are nowhere near Joe as most of the stores are in Kentucky, so I doubt we'll be seeing it on Food Wars unless they can find some other reasons to send Joe there.

US Little Caesars worker here, the extramostbestest pepperoni genuinely is a rip off for an extra dollar (that's how it is in my area), All you really get is a very small scoop of cheese over the pepperonis and 8 extra pepperonis... My advice just get a normal pizza, it'll save you a dollar
Little Caesar’s quality has really taken a dive. Also didn’t know the price increase! Super jealous of the peri-peri seasoning! That sounds really good!
I feel like the quality has improved. I used to get Little Caesar’s because it was cheap. Now I actually enjoy it a bit, and it’s cheap.
I work at Little Caesars and I can tell you why they're more expensive now. The cost of our ingredients have gone up quite a bit, especially the mozzarella we use. It's gotten so bad that I've seen some of my coworkers actually get in trouble for putting too much cheese on pizzas.
Basically it costs us more to make them now so our prices had to go up to compensate.

Little Caesar's is that pizza you get when you're young, can't afford much, and think crappy stuff tastes OK. Develop a palate and it tastes like dog food.

Extramostbestest is the superior version of their Classic hot-n-ready. The extra pepperoni is whatever, it's the extra cheese that really helps imo. I think it makes it actually decent cheap pizza, after hating on the classic for years.
People hate on little Cesar's like they didn't just buy a $6 pizza. When for $1.50 more it becomes a good pizza and for $8 you get a Detroit deep-dish and now you have a great pizza. No other pizza place competes with these prices. You could say digiorno but it's not cooked, you could say 7-11 but those are significantly worse.

US Little Caesars also has Pretzel Crust pizza (pretzel crust, cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella & Muenster cheese) and it comes in Regular & Stuffed Crust

Don’t forget about the PRETZEL PIZZA in the US!!! Instead of tomato sauce it’s liquid cheese and the crust is a pretzel 🥨 🍕 and the Detroit style pizza from little Caesars doesn’t even compare to local Detroit style it’s like comparing Taco Bell to authentic Mexican food
As an american the US little caesars definitely looks better, but i definitely wish we had the portions like the uk because most people lets be fr will eat a whole pizza by themselves and look like my 600lb life. I stopped eating little caesars like a year ago because i use to eat it like twice a week and had an overall bad diet but, no that i stopped and eat at home, i save money and lost around 60lbs in that year
They shouldn't change it, they should just add a personal pizza. And not those combo boxes just the pizza. And price it in a way that makes you not feel like ur wasting money getting the smaller one instead of a full size. Not because of health (the customer is the only one that controls that) but because of convenience

As someone who actually works at Little Caesars, I can tell they messed up your extramostbestest pepperoni pizza lol. Looks like it has half the amount of the normal ones.
Also I have no idea where you're getting "80% more pepperoni" from. We do add a little extra pepperoni to them, but 80%?? It's more like 15% at best.

I won’t defend their pizzas being attacked, but Crazy Bread Combos are one of my favorite breadsticks ever. If locations were closer to me, I might get that once a week instead of once every 2-3 mos. While their pizzas are so-so, I do also like the Detroit Style (formerly Deep! Deep! Dish) pepperoni.

Coming from Detroit, when I get Little Caesars deep dish, the cheese does come up to the edges because people in Detroit know what it’s supposed to look like. But when I get the same thing in other states, nope. Sometimes, it just looks like a lump of dough, no edges. Disappointing. I complained once and they just gave me a blank stare.

3:18 We actually did have the Quattro about 4 years ago when I worked at Little Caesars. I don't think it's been back on the menu since then (because it wasn't very popular)
£5 for a 12" pizza is a bargain tbh. My local takeaway pizza place now charges a minimum of £8.40 for a 12" pizza, and that's for the margherita only. If you want anything on it? You're adding £1.5-£4 depending on toppings.
And £2.00+ for delivery
Their Detroit style isn't as good as a true Detroit pizza, but it is the best pizza on their menu in my opinion. They do a good job of getting all the edges of the crust super crispy.
the last few times i’ve ordered it they didn’t get put the cheese all the way to the pan so it was just really thick, non-caramelized crust and it was so disappointing 🤣 I’d definitely say jets has the closest to detroit style pizza the most consistently lol

Little Caesars has always been a get your pizza hot, fast, and cheap kind of place
even 30 years ago you could order your pizza as you leave the door and as you walk up to Little Caesars it would be coming out of the oven
yes Little Caesars almost never had any delivery service except in a few locations but that slowly ended until food delivery apps came about during covid

Detroit-style deep dish with the sauce on top is a "just outside of Detroit" topping. The pizza shops in the area don't really have that on their pizzas.

i used to work at lil caesars in high school , if u ask for “crazy all over” on the whole pizza , or just the slices or crust , they put the same butter and cheese from the breadsticks on whatever part of the pizza u want
