The immigrant stands in nyc always looked so sketchy I didn't want to try and ruin my trip. Never saw a line or more then one person ordering anything there..
The halal guys are the best between tasty, cheap and healthy food
Its sooooo good it feels junky.
@A P the meat is and rice just the white sause and bread are a little fattneing but not overwhelming youll be suprised that this is more healthy then a mcds cheese burger and small fries.
@A P A package of white sauce itself has 36 grams of fat (it says so on the package) and people usually use anywhere from 1 - 2 for a full platter. the meat is much more fattening...I would say a whole plate with white sauce has over 100 grams of fat. People are just brainwashed thinking something like McDonalds is the devil when a standard burger has 12 grams of fat
@@shadowthefirst5115 you should read my above comment to AP because this is the brainwashed I'm talking about lmao
I swear I love middle eastern food
The meaning of Halal is what is permissible under Islamic law. So Halal is not only applied to meats. But to your life. Your actions, deeds. Your existence. Proud of these brothers. May God make it easy. Aameen

@@daniel.tahmazis Their national language is Farsi(Persian) which comes from Indo-Iranian branch. So generally, they are Persian using Arabic letter. Just like Pakistan, Indo-Aryan (excet India, Sri Lanka etc) with arabic letter. Iranian foods came from Persian ancestors.
@@leafmagiic748 well then that's like me saying I'm Byzantine and not Greek because Persia was an empire, not an individual country. I also know many Iranians myself who say people like to call themselves Persian because it sounds more appealing and exotic.

I nearly died the first time I tried Halal Guys. I didn’t know how hot the hot sauce was either. I am a big whimp to hot. I got my platter, bottle of water, and I put some hot sauce on there. I went to eat it and I felt the most intense heat in my mouth. Street stand in NYC, I’m dying on the street having downed my bottle of water, long long line at the stand and I cut in front unable to speak and just pointing to the water. SOOOO GOOD!!!! Never put that much hot sauce again and now I get mine in DFW and take it home to have with milk lol

@@theancientsancients1769 completely agree, it is not very good imo. very average
Theres a halal guys in my college(laguardia community college) I had their food once and omg did I regret it. Chicken tasted too dry and tasted old. I'm not really a picky eater but I honestly didn't feel like eating it anymore. Thankfully there's another halal cart that serves much better food imo.
Marcos Freire I see that there’s been a lot of mixed reviews, I just want to try it once to get it off of my bucket list
Always so cool to see such growth like that. From one hot dog stand, to a franchise with locations all over the world. You cannot beat that.
I had a similar experience. I first visited New York in 2005. Stayed at the Times Square Hilton. Just outside the hotel was a foodcart with a long line of people. Did not know what they were selling. Turns out, it was Halal-prepared lamb on a bed of rice and salad. I ordered one, since some classmates of mine suggested that it was delicious. The vendor asked if I wanted white, red, or both sauces. Didn't know the difference. So, I said that I will take both. Took a spoonful of the food. It was very tasty with the cool, refreshing yoghurt sauce. Then the red sauce hit my taste buds. It was freaking HOT!! Did not have a drink to wash down the spiciness. I just reluctantly swallowed the food down my throat. Would do that again if I had to! That spicy red sauce balanced with the cool white was terrific! On a very cold evening in New York, it is the best stuff to have!
I love New York City's halal carts, but still haven't tried the food from Halal Guys specifically. Some people tell me its the best and others tell me its overrated.
Jonathan Joshua hit or miss tbh. Quality isn’t 100% consistent, but for the price it’s way more satisfying/healthy than any other fast food chain
If anything it’s the most consistent halal available because it’s the same menu and produce
It's okay. Most Israeli or Lebanese places are doing the same thing but better.
Their white sauce is unique. That's all. Without their white sauce they are nothing. So it's complicated to say they are over rated or not.
Super over rated ... husband worked there, and it’s not the same... after becoming a franchise it’s changed a lot !!! But for the price it’s not bad
Would love to try it! I'm the fan of Kosher and Halal food. Go go Halal ♥💯
Fabio Giovanni kosher and halal are pretty much the same thing, as the animal is slaughtered in gods name in both methods. As a Muslim, I can eat kosher and halal. As a Jew, others can eats halal and kosher.
@@stunnasaad Some orthodox jews dont eat halal because kosher has some more strict rules. But you are basically correct.
@@Despotic_Waffle Tru, yes I forgot to explain how jews don't eat their dairy and meat together. And they won't eat on the same plate if it was contaminated with it. Good point, I knew that but forgot to explain, thx for clarifying.
Yes.Eating kosher food in other countries is a blessing for muslims especially if its a non-majority muslim country. Tried Kosher in Seattle and NYC! Loved it!
@Discovery Mine singapore is not majority muslim.70% is chinese. We adopt multicultralism.Thats why its easy to find halal food here.

Lol u should come to America. I’m Bangladeshi, but I was born in America. Trust me I went to Bangladesh multiple times, and the only reason I love it is cuz of the people and my family. But for foreigners, it’s not a good place. Besides, Bangladesh foods are already halal, and America needs halal food.

their food will be expensive here... what we need is cheap healthy food.. not more fast food chain that only high class people can afford
Xome to bangladesh.
If the food is good enough to compete in our environment it will be awsome.
If any franchise comes here they will gain a lot of money.
People can give their heart out for a good food.
Heisenberg well the reason why halal guys may not come to Bangladesh is first Bangladesh already has halal food, second, the competition would be tough.

A must have every time we visit NYC, the food is delicious!!❤️🙏🍽️
Went for a trip to U.S , tried chicken rice from the first ever Halal guys stall . It was heaven , the taste was amazing .

First thing I tried when I visited NYC, thanks to this video.
It was great BTW
Like the guy said they Were good once but then since the food was so high in demand they fast pace everything from cooking the food at the other location and bringing it to the cart . The food then get warm up and serve. My first encounter of this cart back then was amazing then went back for 2nd and 3rd to give it a try NO MORE not wasting my time and money.

During my one and only trip to NYC we ran into these guys, stopped for a bite to eat and we weren't disappointed, big portions and very tasty. Their food reminded of New Mexico fare, hot and spicy but without chili peppers.
I live 10 000 miles from New York City and we have The Halal Guys I'm so fortunate to have it on my city. Although they're going to have challenges expanding to a Muslim majority country.. and a cheap country.. because their main selling points are serving halal and cheap food.. that's not the case here halal food is abundant and they're a bit expensive. But I see possibilities in the middle eastern food market, they're still growing.
They might do ok. However if they do have competition from local shawarma carts then they might not survive with their current pricing structure.
I absolutely adore The Halal Guys. God bless you!!!!
the people who disliked couldn't handle the spicy sauce
