- Milwaukee FUEL Tools For Drywall Framing (STOP WASTING MONEY) In this video we show the #verycoolgang some of the best Milwaukee Tool drywall framing tools that will help you get the job done right. Stop wasting money on junk and cheaper tools for drywall, these Milwaukee tools are much higher quality than the cheap tools.
If your tools earn you your living then absolutely you should spend the extra on the top tier stuff. You'd be foolish not to!
For people like me though, the light use home DIYer the green tools are just fine.
Glad to still see vids, & we don’t get to see jobsite vids very often b/c of the places you work at. Working at your own place, negates those issues😉
Thanks✌🏼
Great video Vince! I do realize that this is an older video and maybe you already got this tidbit from someone else or learned it yourself; but that drywall gun, just like the corded predecessor, has a lock for the trigger. The pressure sensor in that gun was designed to be used in combination with the trigger lock so that your hand can remain near the top of the gun, inline with the screws you are driving. This is purposefully designed into ALL drywall guns so that you don't tweek your wrist from the repeated pressure of driving the screws in.
fixed blades our good for sure got to give snaked eyes and frost blades to! Ànd to hard work vbc cool vid Dude !
I know this video is older but i don’t care, you guys are beasts. I’m just a small town remodeler but I love seeing your job site videos.
I agree with the assessment on the screw gun. However, did you notice what we have been telling you about the direction of cut with the rotation on the bit on the router? When you made the first cut, when you started from the top right, moved left and then down, you were slower and had to go back when there was kick out. Compare that to the second cut, when you started at the left, traveled right and down. That cut was faster and smoother and no kick out. So movement direction is necessary, start on the bottom left, move up, turn right, cross top, turn down and you'll have a faster and cleaner cut.
Happy Saturday Vince. Enjoy Palm Sunday. Please wear a mask. Gypsum may not be toxic, but it is slightly abrasive. We only have one set of lungs. God bless you.
I find it hilarious you're still pulling the trigger rather than just putting the built in lock on. Makes the ergonomics better.
so when you use the built in lock, it holds the trigger down and the motor will kick in once it senses pressure on the bit?
Idk why. I still press the trigger as well lol.
@@ronaldjacobs8561 yeah most have the ability too both lock the motor on or have the motor start when you engage the clutch
The runtime on that Milwaukee screwgun is AMAZING!!! Thanks Vince and God bless! 😁👍✌️
Hi Vince, GREAT VIDEO, I used to use those bits and really liked them. Recently I bought a set of the new Mikita XPS bits and I’m blown away, the FITMENT is the best I’ve ever seen!!! Just my .02, thanks and keep making great videos.
Love it, Vince. Been binging on your videos the last week and just bought my first Milwaukee power tool..... an M18 impact driver 🙌🏻
When it doesn’t hold bits you can return it and get the better impact, the Makita xdt16
@@psychodadandjfit3974 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The way he kept spinning the black screw for the dry wall cutter but was me af too 😂😂
Wow, a rare glimpse of Vince while actually working. :)
I have the Dewalt screw gun and I just love the screw guns in general… I work for a general contracting company, and most of the workers there are painfully slow at installing Sheetrock… I usually prefer to install Sheetrock by either myself or someone new since the new guy won’t argue and that means I can get him to either hold the Sheetrock in place or screw in the Sheetrock while I do the cutting 😂
I have all Milwaukee tools I’m even wearing a Milwaukee shirt right now but I use makita for drywall.
Now THAT is a proper application for the matrix. 😎👌
Nice job Vince I really like that screw gun too. All my electric guns are basically obsolete. Nobody wants cords around anymore. And I always hated that continuous running screw gun and the screechy sound it always made. Thanks brother!!!!
Thanks Chip we appreciate you!
I suspect they’ll stop giving us the option for replacing with a matrix carbide eventually sadly
Vince! Longtime buddy! Love the video, awesome drywall drill. Cordless is the way to go! Hope all is well and your family and friends are doing well as well. Stay safe and healthy my man.
Thanks Jon, stay safe
I bought a 3 pack Milwaukee kit, impact driver, hammer drill and reciprocal saw. I charged the 2 batteries that the kit came with. Haven't used any of them yet, but I'm excited.
I build these produce stand holders, I designed in my dreams, made it happen. Made 2. Gave one to the teacher I work with and one for myself. I love the design and idea bc I put plastic baskets ($tree) on hooks and you can remove the baskets. Easy clean up. If anything goes bad, you just remove, wash and replace. I wish I could share a photo. But needed an impact driver that can go through the thick wood of the stand. Wish me luck. I plan on selling them at flea markets and arts and crafts venues. Plus, I'll dabble in other things, too.
I want to build a chicken coop and raise chickens. Wish me more luck. Maybe start with a dog house. I'm hoping to adopt a German Shepherd from the humane society. Awaiting their approval, wish me luck.
Thank you for reading this. Prayers are welcome
Good luck!

Thank you

Hey, do you think I cut into the ground with the reciprocal saw to kill the roots of a tree growing funky in the ground in front of my porch?
Replant the tree to better location?
I don't gave a truck to pull the tree out if the ground. It's a young tree. Not higher than 4-5 tall. Not very round, maybe 10"in diameter, if even.
Happy Saturday to VCG and the Gang! Great Video! Keep up the good work!👍🧰👍
Thank you. I learn so much watching your videos.
Vince! There's a trigger lock under the trigger itself! No need to press it!
dave mansigian yep, that what I do, as well. Than just hold & go. Maybe likes pressing trigger
@@Aepek very true
Why use that when there is a more efficient way, and less stress on the pool and battery?
Good tip for that thing that I like. You can put it in auto & lock the trigger on too with that little switch. Then you don’t even have to hold the trigger to use auto. Just hold the gun and it goes when you push it.
Oooo God, you guys liquid nail your guy's a sheetrock in. You're the guys that piss me off when I have to go and redo sheetrock.
Good morning Happy Saturday! Wall looks great thx for sharing 😊
Never seen a drywall screw gun in use before thanks
👍🏻
Always great too see you doing application brotha appreciate your time and effort have a blessed day and you and your family be safe out there prayers for you and the whole family
You gotta put the Milwaukee up against the DeWalt dry wall gun
First person I have ever seen looking for plumb.
I've read bad reviews but not a lot of videos. Of collated attachment. Could you do a Milwaukee collated attachment video please?
Proud drywaller and metal farming stud as well as elevator shafts I use dewalt but that Milwaukee set of drywall tools has my attention or the hilti tol
Dang it Vince you’re gonna make me buy another Milky tool 🤑
You have a sliding trigger lock just below the trigger so you don’t have to hold down the trigger either. That trigger lock will do it for you. Just slide it up while you hold down the trigger, than release the trigger and the lock will keep the trigger depressed.
He covered that in the video.
Love the videos brother..... thanks for the heads up on the bits!
I love your shows. Thank you
Thanks for this one
You bet
The auto feature is really good
If you screw into the very corner and go through all the metal it can pull out the metal and make a gap if you aren’t using the right screws just go to one side and screw into the bottom track
I use the M12 rotary tool instead of the M18 cut out tool, it's lighter, fits in the hand better and you can use it one handed.
I got one too with the cut out tool, 2, 5ah batteries for $249.!
Are these older videos recently uploaded or (hopefully) you folks still get plenty of work, I’m in California we have been slower than molasses due to good ol’ covid19 sheltering us in place. 😷
Great video as always. I just can't understand why you are using self tapping screws to fasten the stud to the rail? It creates a high spot which will of course lift up the corner of your drywall. Why do you not use the framing tool to fasten them together? I can't find how to put a photo on here but the Stanley tool you might be able to get over there is 1-69-100. Keep up the great work.
We haven't crimped a stud in 20 years , the board will compress and lay flat against the stud.
We use a lot of 18ga studs and attach with #10 - 3/4 " hex screws per plans, the too will pull down and flush out.
I’ve noticed that the Milwaukee spins too fast on the thinner cheaper studs. Doesn’t grab sometimes. It’d be nice to be able to slow down the rpm. The gun also stalls/ freezes when driving screws into dense wood. I was using a 5 ah battery and got a 6 high output and now it rarely ever stalls. Only had the gun for about half a year. Don’t think it should need a big ass battery to work how it’s supposed to but maybe a CP 3 will do the job too
It's a variable speed trigger
The control is in your finger....no pun intended. 🤣🤣🤣
mactownrox trying to hang a whole ceiling while slowly putting the screws in is a big downer. Just adds something extra to do while doing your job. Does this happen to anyone else ?
@@scremingwhisper1720 I think when it comes to ergonomics, it is easier to pull the trigger on full than trying to get the rpm perfect. What it needs is a variable speeed dial if that's the case
@@chitywok4290 huh...
Do a comparison on all brands of drywall screwgun guns and routers @vcg construction
Great tools make work easier.
You should track down some self tapping. Saves that little bit of time it takes to pierce the stud. Even on those really crappy thin gauge studs it helps.
I got a drywall gun this year. It was a toss up between the Milwaukee and the Bosch. I went with the bosch in the end as it it lighter, cheaper and has better ergonomics imo. I do like the auto start feature of the milwaukee though.
The Bosch is cordless and doesn’t have the auto start feature?
@@VCGConstruction Nope, it's got a trigger lock that locks the motor on, but not one that is linked to pressing the nose. The thing I love about the bosch is the body is tiny. Would love to see a head to head comparison with the Fuel.
Love your videos and reviews. I use Milwaukee to hang drywall and frame all day every day you have some knowledge here for sure but it was kinda painful to watch
30 years of framing steel studs and nothing but you're the first person I've ever seen use glue on steel studs🤣🤣🤣
@ Ed 300srt-8 26 years in all commercial construction here and I have never seen glue used either. My first thought was I wonder if anyone in comments said anything 😂
Same here in Canada, never have I seen any adhesive being used to hold drywall on steel. Maybe nails on steel next? Lol
It's stops vibration when doors are slammed etc less chance of a screw popping when someone leans on the finished wall
It’s not glue. It’s like mud
It also helps from drafts or oxygen flow incase of fire. And in some places its code.
Vince You are my homies because you are the best contractor's and RUclipsrs around.
You da man Jeffrey Massey, stay safe my friend!
Love my Milwaukee drywall gun unfortunately I never get to use it that much just when hanging new drywall at the house a few times
My bit holder won't come out the drill is it stuck or am I doing something wrong
Great work keep up the amazing work 👍👍👍👍
I would love it if vcg took on a remodel or flip and filmed it.
Vince give the Makita XPS bits a try, I like them better than the Shockwave.
He has the xps bits he's done a review on them and prefers them over Shockwave
I wonder if you could heat treat the regular bits to harden and not temper them.
I’d like to see you use the corrugated attachment. I’ve had problems.
Yes
Can you compare this to the new dewalt gun
Have you ever done a driver bit test using identical drivers with a different brand of driver bits for each one...or are the bits based on longevity rather than sudden output...stay safe
i hear great things about Milwaukee tools. but in my country they are hard to find. just wondering, why would you use a single screw load tool over a dedicated drywall tool with a screw magazine?. never seen a professional with a single load gun in my country.
Great video
Thanks Cuz!
Started from wrong side or framed backwards? Just asking
Nice mate need ringer some drywall tools
I still like my Hilti corded screw gun but I would like to give that Milwaukee a shot. The carbide bits are great for drywall but way to brittle for concrete fasteners.
I thought that drywall sheets went all horizontally not vertically?
Cool
Is the video about a Milwaukee drywall gun or your best drywall bit ? rule of fact is when fixing a screw into drywall dont break the paper.. Dewalt and Makita are generally better than Milwaukee, Hilti are great and last longer but always heavy and cost twice as much.. regards mick.
So what’s the best ph#2 for 14-16 heavy gauge steel framing? Especially when it’s multiple layers of steel framing? (Screws we use are SP mod truss head) breaking Phillip head tips is very common in my field of work.
I’m not a Sheetrock guy (I’m a lead framer) but I want that screwgun and cut out tool! #milwaukeeforlife
id love a recommendation for this... framing with 16g studs and #12 panhead self tappers, id love to find a bit i can just run no worries and not have to feather in towards the end to prevent snapping
I bought the set with the cut out tool and the gun. I generally like the cut out tool, but the gun has not held up. If you take the cone on and off a lot like I do the cheap plastic head that it attaches too eventually wears down and the whole thing becomes loose. I replaced it with the Makita that has an all metal head and have not had that issue.
It's not heavy gauge.....
Cold formed metal framing (20, 18, 16, 14, 12, and 10 gauge) is light gauge.
Milwaukee drywall gun is a great tool
Great in action video
Not a drywaller, but I've never seen a drywaller use a level on drywall..🤷♂️
Safety squints with the rotozip....
I call these tools ''Betrayers when least suspected''
I still have all my dewalt guns all plug in .... i would like to try one of the cordless ones....to see how fast it was compared to old school.... seems like the plug in guns spin way faster.. You could just force the screw in with a RRRRRRRRRRRRRRmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppppp RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppppppp hahaha
Yeah the cordless seems slow to me?
Dewalt all the way
Gtfo. Makita all the way!
@@psychodadandjfit3974 ha ha no thanks. I tried makita and went back to my flexvolt circular. Pisses all over it.
I’ll stick with Makita’s new XPS bits but thx for the video 👍🏼
Fyi your rocking wall from wrong side. The first sheet you stand up should ALWAYS be on soft side of stud first then hard next sheet!! (Steel stud walls)
Great video Vince! Been awhile since I’ve seen you guys. Hope all is well with you and your family and the VCG Gang with all this Virus. Love the screw gun feature and FYI , While using cutout tool you should use those safety glasses you had on your head and go clockwise with cutout tool. Cuts better going the right way Vince. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼 Yous guyses are Awesome.
shout out to Simple jack lol and a fan to
Thank you guys, that why I like VCG Construction. Tell us the truth about any kind of tools, no brown nosing brands. Honest opinion. 👏👏👏👏👊👊👊👊.
Why don't you use collated screws ?
Good enough
I still got my matrix carbide bits, awesome for drywall work. And I have a stash from when you made the video telling is they were discontinued. 😁
Interesting cause you used to hate in Milwaukee lol.. once you use Milwaukee you ever go back.. if for no other reason the 5 year warranty is second to none.. I’ve yet to have a battery not even last 5-6 years... I’m just now getting fuel tools cause my original Milwaukee’s just refused to die!
My PHR2 bit keeps getting stuck in the screw...any suggestions?!?!??!?
Is that a pencil hanging off your collar with a retractable lanyard? If so that looks handy
never understood why people don't use collated heads
Dude I hate tools except for makita good video
O desenho assemelha-se a Dewalt. Mas as funções são da maquitta.
Stupid question but I’m young and learning. What makes this gun great for specifically drywall use?
ruclips.net/video/YQaLybRbaYQ/видео.html
VCG Construction great! Thank you!
What is a really strong Phillip screwdriver bit to use in heavy gauge metal stud framing, I have been using dewalt, milwaukee, makita , and several other brand but they don't last long enough doing the job , usually break really fast... what you guys out there would recommend?
RUN sel drilling screws , we Frame with #10- 3/4 hex and fling board with 1 1/4 self taping
All we frame with is 18gauge
Are you going to buy the auto feeder for that
I'll stick with my bad ass flex tools
That screw gun is going to be lighter in the ear drums too 😂😂
Have you ever tried a hilti with their nose cone?
Nope
VCG Construction you should! That’s what I use every day and with their strips it makes screwing off way faster. And the tools are very tough.
I use a Makita auto feed drywall gun,it is great.
I have never had any luck with Milwaukee tools.
I tried to replace brushes in a Milwaukee drywall gun and the who armature just fell apart.
I have a quick question. I am starting to get into the construction field of work. I am in the market to buy some new power tools. I was looking into buying a combo kit with about 6 to 10 ( or more) tools would like to get majority of them in one purchase. I want to spend under $1000. I have had Dewalt in the past but keep hearing from all our crews and amish crew that they pick Milwaukee. What do you guys recommend?
You’ll need to do your research and determine who has the best deal for the tools you’ll need.
Parabéns pelos vídeos
Do you hit Planet Fitness Freehold ?
Vince you are a very cool guy but why are you using a painfully slow and painful to the tips of your fingers a single screw of the time why don't you get the ribbon several guns out there that have ribbons it is just a major Game Changer to use a cliche! It just changes everything while you're sticking a screw-on I've shot 10 into the board, and that's a fact. I did drywall unfortunately for 10 years and I dropped more screws van I put in . I had the Makita gun running 24/7 not just the fact that you can put the man that was such ease but they also or much easier to drive in because they're held for you in that cartridge you don't miss any they never fold over on you never getting a wrong weird the alignment of the screw is so much easier it's automatic it's just fantastic really makes drywall fun the only part I don't like getting my finger stuck dropping screws picking the screws up I think I belabored this point. and doesn't go in at some weird angle it just X sinking a screw all that much better when you hear that sound every time you shoot a screw you know the feel satisfaction with a screw sinks the converse is when you miss that stud and just irritating as hell isn't it that is pretty much a thing of the past I'm waiting on the reviews but another is a dedicated gun out there I can't recall the name they just do drywall machines. I just takes the frustration completely out come to think of it Vince I think I should sell these machines . in fact if you sign up 2 mi website where I sell this equipment. Just kidding just makes life absolutely joyful when you're doing drywall I can't express it enough please get rid of that old tired Milwaukee I know you love them but this is not the job for Milwaukee unless I and they have a cartridge then it's a job for Milwaukee. you had to hustle hustle that scaffold 57 Island doing a room addition it is such a joy to use a ribbon please explore that and test it for us because that's the only way to put drywall up.. thank you Vincent, just another one of your fans sincerely
