Best video online for these guns. Thank you very much. I'm a renovator with a crew, but we don't do drywall often. I'm in the Milwaukee and ridgid platform. I'm going to get the ridgid because of this video.
Here in WV, where I live, we glue the studs. We put 3 screws in the field on every ceiling stud, but on the walls we only put 1 screw in every other stud....holds better ....lot less finishing
This is the only review I've found on RUclips that compares different collated screw gun attachments. Nice job! Wondering though, have you compared the latest DeWalt collated attachment to the Grabber N7? Also, have you tried Senco's latest auto feed attachment? I saw that the tip of the gun has a slight offset, making it easier to set screws in the corners.
Thx for the review. I have a couple of the Ridgid. Been working for us laying decking with the #2sq drive scews. Wish it had a pole attachment. Got them during the 199 deal.
Hey man excellent video. This is exactly the kind of review on tools video that people should make more often. People who really use these tools day in and out. Thanks, you could add the outrageous pricing on that Hilti as a com also
No brother if its not the battery the gun might be shorting out. All are dewalt guns are a couple years old running strong. The Dewalt routers on the other hand get replaced ever year and a half they burn out from the heavy use.
Hey buddy thanks for all your efforts. A friend of mine sold me the Milwaukee Drywall gun for 80$ If I would've known about the Ridgid sale for 200$ that would have been my lucky day. I love tools and customers love my work. Thanks again and stay blessed!
It could handle but I wouldn't for some reason Ridgid doesnt sell replacement bits. So once your bit goes, go fish! .making the gun kind of useless if you only use the strips.🤙
@@iak474 depends on what brand batteries you already own dewalt, makita, hilti and milwaukee are all good for screwing into wood. That being said I find the dewalt with the grabber n7 attachment can't be beat in price or everyday heavy use.
I appreciate this video, thanks for making it. So just curious you said you would recommend the Ridgid for DIY, Handymen, etc but NOT for people that install drywall full time...Why is that? I plan on buying one of these Ridgid to finish my basement since I already have a handful of Ridgid tools...
Its a good deal but not as smooth as the others so if you need it daily it tends to act up more though out the day which means more time loss etc. Also as of now ridgid doesnt have replacement bits for sale so once the one you get with the gun goes you screwed. 😂
@@brendentaylor8976 no but from what I gathered online you could by a bit similar in size and make it work but for example the dewalt hilti and millwaukee all use different bits that don't make them cross compatible.
@@csdrywallhawaii thanks brother I've heard poor reviews on Milwaukee which is my platform and have been apprehensive much appreciated for your response
Really liked this comparison. 2 thumbs up. Bought openbox Grabber N7 for dewalt 620 cordless on Ebay; but it seemed to have a defect for this one. Would not fit on the gun like yours did in the video. Hard to fit over collar and could not lock. too tight. hummm!
I know exactly what your talking about grabber and dewalt fixed the problem. The base of the gun was design A little different to fit the dewalt rocker Gen 2 . If you want to fix it yourself just have to shave the base of your gun alittle I recommend using a rough sandpaper and box cutter little by little till its not as tight.
You can throw the Milwaukee in the garbage I actually have Dewalt works pretty good, but there’s no doubt Hilti and I have a friend that’s also a professional that runs the Hilti hands down the best
Yup thats the only set back to rockers I like to drive them in at angle and once I'm done with the section take off the head and finish driving the ones that are sticking out. That way I don't find my self taking the head on and off for every line.
No hate they have awesome products but this one wasn't really for the professional in mind. They don't even sell replacement bits for the gun which is poor planning. I love there new cordless light platform.

Same thing here in Alberta Canada also started using foam instead of glue. Way faster, easier, cheaper and better
Yikes. You must not have much humidity

Tks for this helpful video, you help me convince myself to get the rigid model. Keep on the great work

Just looking at them all together definitely looks like you use the ridgid the most
Very helpful at the end and love the music 🤟🏼
Thanks, Brother, very good review, helped me out a lot. And God bless you and yours as well.
Thanks brother you too
You ever have trouble with the dewalt trigger? Where you try pullin the trigger to keep it on and it keeps cuttin out.

Is the Ridgid like the Milwaukee one you push it it drives a screw in or do you have to hold the trigger
It's like the milwaukee but they don't sell replacement bits so its collecting dust in the shed
@@csdrywallhawaii like the bits for the screws
@@danieldepot4090 yes the bits for the correlated attachment. If you run single shoot then it won't effect you.
@@csdrywallhawaii looked it up they have it available at home Depot the only bad thing is they are $10 a piece for the correlated 6 in 1/4 # two
@@danieldepot4090 awesome it wasn't available for the first 1year or so glad they finally made it🤙
Thanks for the comparison!
Just tuned in curious to see how the rigid does .
Will they all take the same correlated screws like will the screws fit every gun?
Yes
Gotta love play with cordless power tools. I do.Nice vid. All I have is Hilti. ( unless a tools they don't make) being a framer.
Do you have to use the regular drill to push the screws even more?? Or just the Dewalt with attachment do the job??
No just remove the auto attachment and finish driving in the screws with same gun.
Why do you have to finish drive, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of these guns?
I just noticed the scripture on your logo! Blessings brother!
Thanks brother one of my favorites 🤙
Hilti 22v all day best gun i ever used and i have owned all the top brands
hey brother great review, I do fences part time, can the Rigid setup handle screwing pickets to 2x4s??

does the ridgid feel any faster since its 4700rpm rather then 4400 to 4500 like the other ones?
Where do you get the collated attachment for the dewalt screwgun?
Grabber

Really good job!
thank you!!
Thanks for watching
I have the Milwaukee and want to use the hilti m2 feeder attachment. Do you know if that will work ?
No I don't think so
Does the ridgid still work?
At first It was my back up gun that I keepted in the truck, but once the bit wore out it became useless they don't sell replacements for some reason.

Hey which one is the the new one sdn72
Can you crossover platforms with different headstocks on a particular gun
Nope they are not interchangeable

I have the milwaukee platform..but i seen reviews from online that milwaukee gets stuck when your not 100% flush will wall...
How do you hook the milwaukee magazine
Just slides on and off with the push of a button silicate to the dewalt and hilti.
Why not just set it deeper in the corners right away then set it back after? Beats putting it in then fixing the clickers
Mahalo nui loa from Vegas bradduh, and God bless you and the Ohana on the Aina...🤙🏽

It was fairly new when we made this video I ended up giving it to my brother.
I find screwing corners difficult with all these guns. Is that just a normal thing to get over? Or is there a trick I'm missing?
