I can really that you're a Metroid fan with the style of the showcase.
One thing you forgot to mention, is that the chozo statues you find in the wild, and in the temple, can be mined for extra chozite ore, making them a great source for ore early game.
You can also mine them with the copper pickaxe so if you find enough you can skip the other ores
Man, Metroid Dread has really changed a lot since the latest Direct.
its funny how dread was seen as a dead game since well...it was first announced what? 2005? and one of the primes had two terminals referencing it, pirate terminals, talking about a project metroid dread or something, then the SECOND one literally stating the project failed/wasn't continuing? XD!

I love metroid games and I had played this mode not long ago, but I recommend it 200%, it is entertaining and easy to get things done, plus it is super good when you play it with other mods that have more bosses to defeat
This mod is so much fun. I used it in a calamity mod a while back and it was pure carnage the whole run. Only really felt underpowered past DoG
calamity does that. trust me, you arent

Well unfortunately, this is fair use. So they can't. Also, Modmakers are mostly anonymous. So they can't really sue em.

Genuinely a really fun mod. The only things I can think to improve on is adding more generated structures for the boss arena like with the torizo, otherwise they're pretty painfully easy to cheese with any decent pair of wings. Very well sprited and designed otherwise though!
tbh, sometimes, you just gotta give up the cheese, yah know what I mean? I think I'm SOLELY going to play this mod, METROID gear only almost, because yes... just yes.
They could use something like Calamity's Broken Wings debuff to balance out the wings, and have specific structures that provide the necessary environment beforehand, to maximise the Metroid feel.

@@MitruMesre Yeah, but usually it doesn't completely trivialize the bosses (aside from certain secret but fun interactions like the grapple beam with Draygon in Super.) If the cheese is there you should have to work for it or be clever, otherwise it's not rewarding at all.
Cheese is up to the player to use, i actually prefer having the option because it gives players the choice, much like an actual Metroid game

Being a Metroid fan (especially Metroidvania style games), this is by far my favorite Terraria mod.
After playing Dread and loving it, this mods gives me the huge boost I needed to start playing Terraria again.

wow this mod looks very neat ill gave a shoot after finishing thorium solo healer run ( yes im doing dat cuz only 2 class challenging and does not melts bosses they are thrower and healer )

6:00 if you didn't know. you can also ball under him! his feet don't have hit boxes unless he's landing from a jump. roll under him quickly or he'll swipe you with his melee. also, his bombs are a really good source of emergency healin or mana drops if you get lucky to break them. You can fight him pretty early cause he's not a hard to figure out boss, just time consuming without a bit of power behind you.
Also the chozo statues holding power ups can be smashed to salvage free chozite, making you not even have to get a gold pickaxe first to mine some if you luck out.

If you made this, you rather outdid yourself there. Them shrines, I wonder if they too can be added to regular maps and such? Can you build your own as a home? or does this just replace somethings? To be honest I think Terraria can do with more bosses too so seeing these new faces added by you really got me wanting to have a go at it!
Also liking the fact Kraid had enough of tight spaces and this time feels rather threatening and decided "To hell with it, I'm moving in now!"

Is kinda a cheese being able to see the bosses coming at you from far away like the Serris boss, it used to be way more difficult in a small screen and not being able to look at the boss on a map/minimap, certainly my personal opinion
the power ups in this mod reminds me of the old games where you become a spaceship and shoot lasers at the enemy and you can collect like power ups and stuff i forgot most of it but the nostalgia is still there. im definitely gonna check this mod out
That kinda sounds like Guardian Legend for the NES, in that one you use a human/robot? thing that transforms into a ship and you collect powerups and stuff.

Terraria Metroid Mod is precisely what I was looking for. Ever since I started playing Terraria, I noticed how much of Metroid 3 it was inspired by, more so because I fiddled with S.M.I.L.E. and all of its sloped blocks.
This has to be the coolest mod I’ve seen in Terraria

I sadly never got to play AM2R before it got shut down... and so my first reaction to the Torizo's theme was... "Chykka? What's Chykka got to do with this?"
The place gives everything to fight him so hammer and skill is really all you need

Chozite sword
and repeater are crimsonite/demonite level weapons.
Same goes for the Chozite armor
Power suit sadly doesn't increase in power as it gets made.
Varia suit is barely at molten level.
Beams
Spazer

Ice
charge
Are commonly found around the terraria world
super Missiles can be made I think
Supposedly it is possible to get plasma beam.
If not -
Varia suit II is the next level suit in PWOF mode
Super missiles can be made here definitely.
Plasma can be made at this time.
Gravity suit is if you can find the parts for making the antigravty monster that is Phantoom.
Next is V2 weapons once you beat the mechanical bosses, OR rather they need to be beat in order to make them. These will be the main weapons till you farm the cosmic parts for making the cosmic beams.
Now comes the extras as there is the super missile v2, super ice missile, diffusion missile and last the cosmic missiles.
Then the power suit has I think 3 splits.
Phazon suit
Then the nebula suit
And stardust suit.
Flare and vortex is planned the suits are in as extras thus far. But nothing special about them, nor is there a all in one suit. as of yet.
Light and dark suits are planned and in as extras.
Forgot all the extras... So-
Pre hard mode
Grip, Morphball, Highjump, bombs, Speed booster... Not sure on speed booster.
Hard mode
Space jump, Screw attack, then it goes into combinations that allows you to combined all the accessory slot items together and start making super items that do all the previous abilities.
Last but not least is the morphball abilities.
Pre
Bombs, drill. Drill v2. Drill v3?
Hard
Drill V3, drill V4, Powerbombs, Drill v5, Drill v6 Drill v7, drill v8?

I watched a lot of Metroid:Fusion(best part of metroid and the scariest causing me not be able to play this game alone) randomizers and thit upgrade on first is my favourite.
A small tip I didn't see; you can mine the Chozo statues for even more chozite.

I got this mod a week ago and can say it's amazing! It now has some more bosses like omega pirate and phantoon and the gameplay and mechanics are great. The only bossfight i not really like is kraid. It's a good challenge but it looks a bit boring like a moving picture. But the mod is really great! Sadly the most bosses don't have much loot :(
In a game that I can best describe as Minecraft + Metroid, it's cool to see this.

You can get Spazer from the jungle, Charge Beam from stars, Wave Beam from the evil, the Ice Beam from ice (justifiable) and bones, and you can get the Plasma Beam from the evil hardmode materials.

NGL, I played this game back in the day when it was a Tapi mod. I was quite sad when it became unplayable with updates, I had assumed it may never return… BOY I was SO HAPPY to be wrong! The best part? The ONLY reason I knew it was back with a vengeance was RUclips recommended me a video on a boss showcase. Immediately clicked out of a “Hold the phone, this can’t be real, right?” Kind of mentality, only to see that it was legit! So stoked for 1.4 tmodloader to become official, I so badly want to do a master mode run with Metroid gear, space jump > wings, FIGHT ME!

I played this and I enjoy it, but has some bugs that force you to close the game because that bug disable to open the menu and hit "save & exit".

Hi there! I have a question, I have been playing the mod until the beginning of the hard mode, and the damage of the hunter weapons has been increasing up to 170, until the twins appeared, we both died at the same time and the damage went down to 32, you know if it's part of the mod's mechanics or is it just a bug?
