This event brings antique boats from around the country all to a small town named Hessel Michigan. I went to this event many times as a kid. So this was a very nostalgic trip down memory lane for me. Love these boats. Hope you do too!

My wife and I attended this show in 2002, our first and so far, last visit. They also offered a display of vintage outboard engines.

At 33:53, you feature the boat, "In The Mood." This was one of Glen Miller's most popular songs. From about 1941 I think. But, like you, I'm from the Robert Plant Led Zep generation. I would not have know this if it hadn't been for my father who grew up playing drums in the big band era. His music tastes definitely influenced my own. To this day, I love listening to just about anything Glen Miller. Fantastic video BTW. I get to watch this on my huge screen 4G screen and it's like I'm right there. Thank you so much. EDIT! at around 37:00, you feature the Chris Craft that is painted all blue. I could be wrong, but I believe that this boat is blue because it was made shortly after War 2 when materials were in extremely short supply. I think this boat is probably made from Cedar. Maybe someone else could chime in. At 1:17:21,. you feature an early Lake and Sea fiberglass boat. This was my favorite little glass outboard. I love the tailfins. I've always thought that they were so tastefully done. Not garrish like some designs from the 50s, Again, I could be wrong but I think the nick name for Lake and Sea boats was Leak and Sink. Maybe that's why we don't see them more often. A few years ago, I actually spotted a bare hull, no motor, no trailer, near Centerville, TN sitting out in someone's side yard with grass growing all up around it and under a ton to trash. When I asked about it, the owner, in typical Tennessee redneck fashion, suddenly decided the boat was worth ... maybe around... $20,000. No thanks.

Always like your video car shoots and this boat shoot is up there as well , please keep posting they are the best .I can only imagine how many old guy's can no longer get around as much as they once did and these video trips into the past must really be a joy for them as well, I know I enjoy them big time thanks again.Rick from Quebec Canada.

I think you did this last year. Or one just like it. Beautiful old boats. Love the old Chris -Crafts. You and your dad had a lot of good memories. The mahoganies is to die for. And the age of them is unbelievable. There Just like new,and restored beautifully. Those canoes I’ll bet really heavy. Is it a bigger variety than last year. And a Mustang boat. Don't you know these shows cater to "Chris Craft", If your boat is not a C C then it's just the "Red Headed Step Child" Hence the name of my boat. 😂

Matt it will be tomorrow Gearhead get together show at Maple Lake and Rockin Rush City as well. I recommend this time Rush City show. It is smaller like 5-600 cars and shorter from 12-5PM but it's a great show. Summer is almost over so enjoy until it last.
For what it's worth at 1:11:16 (to the owners) re the 1959 Century 'Utility' - it was a Century Coronado and was powered by a 390 Cadillac (GM) Block with Dual 4BBl Carbs. I had one . Maybe yours's is different but the one I restored was original.
