"Indian software is coolie work" - largely true statement. If you look at software company structure, all "planners" are sitting overseas who assign tasks to Indians project managers who then get their army of coding-monkeys to smash it out. The higher level understanding of any software technology is greatly missing within Indian workforce. This is mainly because overseas a software engineer invest his/her entire life to software skills as they have somewhat financial security while in India a mid-level software engineer have to deal with both financial as well as social responsibilities.

i swear Abhijit Iyer Mitra is one of the most brilliant and articulate political analysts i've seen. It's a shame that I didn't know about him before the controversy regarding his arrest happened. He criticizes Modi on 9/10 things Modi does but there's no malice in it. It's genuine honest criticism. This is the kind of debate that needs to happen everywhere if India is to become a first-world country.
