Anand ji is but not the taklu, he keeps calling himself elite and prides himself on it that he vacations in Europe. eats gourmet food, has woke preferences as far as sex is concerned, and looks down upon modi because he was a chaiwala once upon a time.
this is a very unique perspective. modi is creating a middle class who isnt empty stomach, has food on the table, has roof over his head and atleast a livable wage job so that he can then think about the larger question which is the identity of nation, the hindutva identity and i totally agree a person feel pride in his culture only when he feel pride of himself. when that person has roti, kapda , makan then only he can feel pride of himself and then he can feel pride of his culture and become nationalistic,.
This is not just a mere prediction it has happened everywhere in the world . The extreme poor population always votes for a socialist govt that will give them everything free then when the same population becomes middle class they start voting for a socio-capitalist nationalist govt . When they become upper middle class they start voting for a complete capitalist govt . When they become the elites they start voting a woke socialist govt . When wokism rises in the country the same people start voting for a nationalist govt again .

I enjoyed this thoroughly! There is absolte peace and disagreement! No acrimony! No mud slinging! The entire episode was an organic flow of discussion but all facts laid so open ly threadbare by each debates exposition of their ideas. In all we are fortunate to listen to these great minds shaping the future of India! I am certain Fity Years from todat the people that watched this episode will have a harmonious but invisible connected chord of a prediction that comes true! This is the reality of current Bharatiya situation! I cannot but appreciate enough the mind of Abhijit Iyer, his analysis is spot on and factored in all possibilities of variables that may influence the outcome of the future opening ahead ! But Ranganathan is our Scholarly ideal to follow, who inspite of being in JNU is waging a relentless battle to reshape or correct its narrative of delivering what its calls, Eduction!
People must understand and accept that this man modi has actually fast forwarded indias development to the next level. Yes a lot is yet to be done, poverty still exists but managing 1.4 billion people is no easy task. You gotta give this man credit

Modi Ji is a hero for all his work, identity, and hope that anything is possible & anybody can be anything... he provides everyone with something to get connected. He feels like a blessing who thinks very little about this country(India). As an Indian, we mostly go with Chitta (intentions) about the person, nobody can deny he is a Patriot.

I have the opportunity to observe some of these changes at grassroot level and gas cylinders & water taps have indeed made a huge impact. Yet, in no way have they diminished the Hindu spirit. Religion is too deeply entrenched for that to happen so I'd agree with AIM that this will continue to be a big factor even amongst the next gen voters from the hinterland & the lower strata. Simply, they are now aware of the threat posed by the proselytising faiths.

To be fair, Indira Gandhi and the Nehru's in general pushed it in peoples faces to bow down to them. Regionalism doesn't mean anti-nationalism; it simply means you are preserving your history and welfare of your people.
Under the umbrella of Territorial Nationalism, people of two distinct states might not know or understand each other's local issues.
People of other states are happy with " Government's DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS" in the farway hills of Uttarakhand. But they wouldn't understand what locals feel about these developments, and how these projects are severely affecting the locals or the mountains.

If hero worship is going to lead to actual good results for the country, as is evident in the rise of India in the last 9 years, tben hero worship of a worthy leader is not a bad thing. However if someone picks up this pattern and applies to a person not so worthy in the future, then we will have a problem on our hands. But the worthy like Narendra Modi totally deserve it.
