Unlike what most people say, I actually really like the CRJ-200. Yeah it’s not the most comfortable but there’s just something about flying on a small regional jet that is really cool.

Good Grief • After watching such a long taxi, I pulled up DEN on Flightradar24 to check out the runway layout. It was almost comical how long it was taking. Mighty impressive airport, for sure!
Second largest airport in the world, when using land area. I don’t remember the name of the airport that beats DEN, but it is in Saudi Arabia. Fun fact, DFW is the third largest by the same metric.
The taxi was like 6 minutes w/ no wait during rush hour at one of the busiest airports in the country lol how is that comically long?

I'm in Denver as we speak. Flight went well. That airport is undergoing a complete makeover. I liked it the way it was. My guess was it was overcrowding, so it was time to renovate.

@@MAAtx Yeah I can recall a crosswind landing or two at the old Stapleton Intl. where the plane bounced a couple of times on touchdown and in between the bounces swerved like either plane was drunk or the crew was....😂 I thought "YIKES THIS IS THE BIG ONE!

No, not really. I have plenty of battery backup with me to prevent that. I have stopped recording in the middle of a flight for other reasons though. Like, it gets too dark, and you can't see anything. That actually was the case in this video. Or, if there is a problem with the window. I had a flight from PHX-MCI recently where the window fogged up and you couldn't see out. No sense in recording that...

Does UE have flights to JLN from ORD,IAH and DIA? If so would there be 3 CRJ's overnighting?
Yes, United flies to IAH, ORD, and DEN from Joplin. But no, they only have an overnight from ORD. IAH currently has two turns and DEN has one turn.
Another note. That has changed slightly since the original inaugurals. DEN was originally the overnight. But they switched it for IAH after the DEN flight fell into horrid performance. It was getting delayed by hours every day due to summer thunderstorms in Denver, so they just moved it earlier in the day, and moved one of the Houston flights back.
I was starting to sleep over the whole flight when the plane about to land, and I wake up when is on the ground! And I was like "HUAH?!". I did see the whole part from beginning to the air tho! NO?.., OKAY!

I've always found the CRJ 200s to be very uncomfortable from a passenger experience. I take it you enjoy flying as a passenger on this aircraft?
I do not. They are my least favorite aircraft to fly on. But, I grit my teeth and deal with them from time to time haha.
How does Bombardier compare to other 3 makers?
Personally, they are my least favorites manufacturer. Although they’re not a manufacturer anymore. They left the commercial aircraft game completely.
Was storm tornadic?
No, it was just a regular thunderstorm.
Im hoping they'll upgrade Joplin to a CRJ 700 or Erj 175 but I have my doubts
CRJ700 is a great plane
Possibly the A220 as well. It makes for a great replacement to the current regional fleets!,
A 700 at the least would be nice on at least one route. A 175 or anything else is probably wishful thinking. Remember, The contract the city of Joplin has is technically with SkyWest and not United. And, Although SkyWest does operate 175’s for United they aren’t typically used on their EAS routes. Overall, I think it’s great that my home city now has flights to three major hubs. But, as someone who absolutely hates flying on the CRJ-200, i’m really hoping at least one of the routes gets upgraded soon.

I’m confused. Because I’m on the right side in this video haha. That said, I sit on the side that I think is going to provide the best views. That can change a lot though, and the best laid plans can be thrown out the window, if the wind isn’t what you think it was going to be.

Nice video. But this is probably my least favorite plane to fly in. I HATE how you have to bend down to look out the windows, and the loud "CLUNK" sound of gear deployment is beyond me. Frightens the shit out of some passengers. I was a ramp trainer on the CRJ for United Express/ACA in Boston.
Thanks my friend! I would agree with you. The CRJ-200 is my least favorite aircraft to fly on. Flew on one today, and several passengers were startled when the gear deployed.
