He did contact a friend at the start of the game during that intro cutscene and told him that Mia send him an email with her location, and his friend was like "Dude, it's been 3 years" and Ethan is like "Maybe it's a prank, but i'll check it out anyway"
And that was his first mistake.
and that's when he entered the world's creepiest house... without calling the cops first...
Spoiler: unless you become molded like Ethan, you can’t survive, period. Or unless you have been given super steroids that let you punch apart massive boulders like Chris. You can’t survive.
At what point when he was out did he become molded in this game? I’m curious 🧐
@@furioused4391 the very start. Before he was knocked out by papa. He has such an affinity with the mold that he didn’t even realize how stupid op he was, not even Evelyn could control him anywhere close to how much the others. Some say it was because of the progression, but it was actually because of how ungodly perfectly he merged with the mold. He started having hallucinations because of how strong evalyns control of the mold was though.
@@furioused4391 he got infected after jack kills him in the beginning.
Agree, the smart thing to do for Ethan was get back to the car after seeing those cows legs tied together and report it (specially when you later know the house already was on the police radar), but keeping in mind Jack was lurking right there, it seems like he was screwed since the moment he parked there. Also, I believe a big reason he survived after getting molded was because of the same Eveling playing around with the idea of Mia and him being her parents until the right end.
@@emmanuelrojas8390I'm also curious if it's a matter of naivety everyone else was being controlled because they were conscious when infected but because he was infected well unconscious/dead when he woke up he merely thought the things in his head was just from panic and ignored it. Or another theory evalin did have control but she chose not to use it rather slowly pushing him to kill the family she didn't like anymore until the end but he got to independent to retake control. That's why I think eva captured Ethan during the boat section so she can try manually implanting control again

Yes! I was rocking with this! I love resident evil games are a blast if you like survival games and horror. Some mess with you psychological and others have alot of gore. My favorite would be Village, Resident Evil Revelations, and the remake of raccoon city.

How to Beat an actual survival horror game is fun because there are usually multiple realistic ways *in theory* to escape the various predicaments in which you find yourself. So you can see the "correct" way to beat the game, but you can also imagine equally plausible creative solutions, like the suggestions you presented for how to escape the garage. The cool thing about games as opposed to movies is that some of them show a range of outcomes, worst to best, depending on choices the characters make (like The Dark Pictures series, for example).
If I was trapped in a building surrounded by zombies and I could choose one person to help me I would choose how to beat
personally I would choose goku, or superman but ok.

I Lowkey loved the Demo to this game. It was the first 15 minutes of gameplay with an alternate ending that killed you. It felt watered down in the full experience, after how masterfully the demo kept the mysterious atmosphere of exploring an abandoned house in the woods. Still a masterpiece all in all though.

We put our hands into a cheese grater for a while, that works
Great stuff, but some ideas probably wouldn't work:
1. Bringing a friend or two won't do anything except get more people killed. We literally saw on tape how three adult men were slaughtered like it was nothing, there's no safety in numbers.
2. Ethan not dying from the hand loss is a clear sign of him being fully infected at this point. This means escaping the property is now out of the question, as Evelyn does not allow that. This makes protective measures like gloves and mask useless as well.
3. It seems cop had his radio on him, not in the car. Maybe it was broken in the explosion?
4. Molded are not, in fact, "born" from human bodies. In Mia's flashbacks we see them being formed straight from Evelyn's "vomit". The idea that corpses turn into monsters is, ironically, just Bakers' superstition.
5. I don't buy that Ethan is just some office worker. He managed to defeat both Mia and Jack in melee, among other things. His entire non-reaction to the horrors around makes him look like some Rambo badass: "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me"
