Who else got Pikmin 3 Deluxe? :)
Not me :/
i got the free demo
Not me
I got no money but I'll get it once I save up enough
I couldn’t :(
it baffles me how many people (even nintendo fans) refuse to try pikmin
I didn't expect to see you here, Pikmin is one of nintendos most under appreciated game series, its a shame more people don't look into these games. Love your content btw.
Uncultured people
I'm broke.
I fucking love it
I've asked almost every gamer youtuber I watch who plays Nintendo games if they played pikmin, and almost none of them said yes, I even try recommending them to play them but they refused... this is why pikmin hasn't received 4 true games or hasn't even reached 10 million sales, I wish to make a 4th game myself with my ideas but what's the point?
good work keeping the word out there
Shesez!
Lol
If possible could you do a boundary break of donkey Kong 64?
Pikmin 3.5
Wait so Majora's Mask is stressful for you but Pikmin isn't? Weird.

I really wish pikmin did better so we could get pikmin 4
"Yeah, he also uploaded the Undertale soundtrack"
You should be wishing that people will give pikmin a chance people over look the game
Right now he's remembered as the undertale ost guy :P
I really hope this isn't the end of Pikmin. Things right now are looking really similar to what happened to Chibi Robo... Nintendo holds a game over fans heads saying if they don't buy it, then the series future will be set in stone for good.
It probably is not
it has been said in Japan that pikmin 3 deluxe sold 13 million copies!!!
@@SHIBI1108 that’s good
It's sad it can't even sell better than it did on the Wii U (in the UK)
Also sad how people complain that it's the same game but then go buy Mario bros u deluxe that only adds 1 power up and Toadette for the price of Blue Toad
I legit did not know there was a full Chibi Robo sequel in Japan until watching this video. I am so sad it never released over here!!! Knew that Park Patrol being Wal-Mart exclusive would kind of partially doom the franchise here.

“When Miyamoto stated during an interview, ‘we’re making pikmin’, which confirmed they were making pikmin”
I played Pikmin 3 entirely on the Wii-U gamepad because it had touch controls & enjoyed it immensely. How does it play on the switch?
I definitely recommend it with gyro
I never played the Wii U version, but the controls on Switch are okay enough. There’s occasionally times when I can’t get the cursor right, and the gyro isn’t enough to compensate (usually when I’m traveling from point A to point B), but it works at the times when it matters most. It’s not unlike how Splatoon’s aiming works: control stick for large movements, and gyro for fine-tuning. Although the game ALSO has a lock-on targeting system for enemies, flowers, and treasures, which kind of defeats the point of gyro controls.
I’ll clarify that the game is overall really fun, and my enjoyment of the game is not hampered by the controls.
For some reason no touch controls on portable mode, but I guess I’ll have to get used to it. Pointer controls are nice though with split joycon.
I had no issues whatsoever with the standard control setup
My heart sank when you brought up Chibi-Robo. I love that series to death and its fate saddens me
I just can’t stop thinking about the announcement of a true Chibi Robo game for Switch, how fun and beautiful it would be and how it probably won’t ever happen... the best hope is Nintendo doing a virtual console for GameCube games on Switch and adding Chibi Robo to it
I mean chibi-robo would be radical for switch but there's no camera :( guess screenshots shall do
I got it on my emulator and plan on playing it all the way through if that makes you feel any better
Not that im supporting the franchise tho :(
hey all, scott here
I bought it on physical on preorder but then amazon told me it wasn't coming till the second. So I bought it a second time digitally. haha. haha. I really want it to sell well for once
I did a similar thing with legend of Zelda triforce heroes. I lost my physical copy so a couple years later I bought it again digitally...

When Pikmin 3 deluxe trailer released
People: Pikmin sounds fun and I can't wait to play it
Then 3D Mario all stars and Age of Calamity trailers release
either Nintendo is entirely tone-deaf or they are intentionally trying to kill Pikmin
@@A-Spoto they might be wanting to do that, pikmin has never been important, and almost nobody cared for it (just by seeing the sales of the franchise) it's kind of boring and it doesn't bring money to nintendo, so if they stopped from making pikmin games, nothing would happen to the company
For fucks sake Nintendo, either you commit to reviving your dying franchise or you don't!
@@inaki8014 Why do you hate pikmin?

Sadly, the sales were not too good, Nintendo did the wrong thing when releasing a Partner Showcase with a Demo of Age of Calamity and NMH days before Pikmin 3 deluxe, it ended up to a bad start, i hope sales go fine since i really really wish this series to continue
Apparently, it had the best opening week in series history in Japan!
@@by1742 This is recent news to me, i guess i haven't checked everywhere sorry. Also great news then ^^
@@Pau-sp9yp Yeah! A bit of optimism for the series' future for sure.
I think the statistics that most people qouted were england physical sales, which I believe they're still in lockdown
The stats you probably saw was just physical sales in the UK, while they are having a second lockdown. Apprently the worldwide digital sales are through the roof!
I've never played a pikmin game in my life, so I decided to try the demo then the whole game. Huge mistake.
I haven't stopped playing it since it released, it's been about 2 weeks. Send help, it's too fun.

I feel like Pikmin has a future, it has already climbed the charts of the digital best sellers, even surpassing 3D all stars (Which I feel is telling of how it’s doing)
People did their part
I hope we’re right. I played Pikmin when I was 3 years old. I used to have dreams about me playing pikmin 😆
Underrated: the video game series
Underrated sub genre. The only other game series I could accurately compare to pikmin is the Overlord series and even then it’s a pretty different gameplay experience.
We will be fine. Nintendo has been heavily marketing the game with a demo and all that. Yeah they tried to take the game down from the Wii U shop, but they brought it back (I think that sparked the extreme marketing from Nintendo). Hell, they even featured it in the treehouse live alongside age of calamity. I think them pairing an enhanced Wii U port with a prequel to one of the best games of all time shows how much they want the game to succeed. People are saying the sales are low, but that is only counting physical sales, and considering we are in a pandemic right now, most game sales are gonna be low anyway. We haven’t even reached the holidays yet, so sales are going to much better when it roll around. I have faith in my little pikpik carrots, we all just have to stay positive.
The sales are doing worse than they did on the Wii U
@Preston and Tom the game isn’t even out yet how can it compete with the sales over the lifetime of a game

“Could be released Summer 2020”
Yeah dawg it fully feels like summer 2020 still hasn’t happened yet
Out of all the series that have spawned from the mind of Shigeru Miyamoto, I feel like the Pikmin franchise is his passion project moreso than any other. This makes it sad how undersold and underrated it is, but also glad how much love has been put into it.
Pikmin 3 did to Pikmin what I feel Odyssey did to Mario. It took every mechanic in Pikmin that felt tedious, clumsy, or just plain broken, and completely optimized it. It's to the point that the only way Pikmin 3 can be difficult is to actually create complex puzzle-platforming, difficult bosses, and countless oppurtunities for strategy and multi-tasking. When I go back to the older Pikmin games, especially the first Pikmin game for the Gamecube, it feels as though Pikmin are unresponsive and I spend most of my time doing stuff that's boring (getting each type out of their individual onion, plucking, and staring blankly as it takes 2 minutes for my 70 pikmin to tear down a wall). It's kinda like when you go back to Mario 64 after playing Odyssey and you're like "what? He didn't triple jump. He didn't wall jump. Why did I get sent back to the Hub world?"
The world building is extraordinary too. There's not much lore as far as it goes with the Hocatates and the Koppaiites, but when it comes to the creatures in Pikmin, it's a whole other story. I bet this would be the favorite game of any biologist who gave it a go.
woah buddy, simmer down there. Those are some pretty bold statements
@@JinxyCatz I recognize my feelings are strong, but Pikmin is my favorite series so I feel like I'm allowed to. Besides everything I said was positive so who gaf. Not like I'm hurting any feelings out here.
@@da_pikmin_coder8367 Nah it's all good
I love the Pikmin series. It reminds me of ants working for survival and because ants are one of the most interesting animals to watch what they’re doing.
The funny thing is, Miyamoto's main inspiration were actually ants in his garden.
They should have bundled in the whole trilogy or charge a more reasonable price for around £30/$40. The full £50/$60 price is too steep for me to justify buying it again. My budget is limited and brand new games I want to play are releasing soon.
That’s exactly what I’m thinking.
Exactly!! Me and my gf were so excited for this game until we saw the disgraceful price they were asking for it.... A perfect example of how nintendo shot itself in the foot
exactly this. £50 for a game i already own with extras that don’t warrant that bump in price is not something i’m going to support. even the first two with no improvements besides upping the resolution to 1080p would’ve made it worth getting
I just tried out the demo since my college semester is starting to slow down. It was pretty fun, still want to play, but I'll have to wait to pick up Pikmin 3 over the holiday break after finals.
I got it and it's my first Pikmin game ever. It's great so far, and SO freaking unique and cute! But I would've probably never considered it if not for the Nintendo RUclipsrs I watch. I'm glad I found it and they released it on Switch. But I do find it kind of funny that Miyamoto thought it would be the next Mario, it is just such a niche and strange game to reach that level of popularity imo. I hope it does well, though.
This game is so good, even the side content is of great quality!
Pikmin is one of Miamoto’s golden boys. It may not be a blockbuster but I don’t think the series will ever be cancelled.
My 6 and 4 year old niece and nephew have been playing the hell out of Pikmin 3 Deluxe since I bought it.
If they can enjoy a *strategy* game, when they've rage quit just about every other game I've thrown at them, including Pikmin 1, surely Pikmin 3 has the potential for mass appeal.
Actually I checked, Pikmin 2 and 3 have around the same amount of unique enemies/bosses (which is in the 50’s) though a good chunk of Pikmin 2 enemies were ported to 3 so there’s that
“Cause the instal base of the Wii would’ve given Pikman 3 an easy 5 million sales at least”
Yeah I’m not so sure about that, four words:
Fire Emblem on Wii
The Wii itself sold insanely well, but that's really only because of Wii Sports, Mario Kart, and Smash.
However, the Switch is selling super well, AND all of the games are too. Pikmin surprisingly has a much better chance on the Switch than it ever did on the Wii.
And to be honest, 1 million sales really isn’t bad. It’s actually a success nowadays. For Nintendo’s standards anyways
Man this guy is so optimistic, he thinks Pikmin 4 will come out in the past! Either way, the video was nice.
You love to see it.

I feel like an early 2000's Western anime fan.
"Buy all the anime you can."
"But what if I don't like this anime? Can't I just buy the anime I like and ignore the rest?"
"We have to show there's a market for anime, so buy all the overpriced DVDs you don't want immediately!"
You know, this is actually pretty cool. The Wii U failed yet had amazing games and since almost every game on the switch is a port of Wii U, you might as well get a Wii U with all those games. It’s mega cheap on eBay. I found nintendo land there for only 0.99$ starting bid
That's true, but many of the Switch versions have loads of extra content. If that's your only option financially then it's better to be able to enjoy great games how you can than not at all. That said, Nintendo will never see your enjoyment of games like Pikmin 3 if you buy a cheap physical copy off ebay. Your opinion of good games can only be conveyed to Nintendo through money.
@@A-Spoto yeah but I rarely even saw play the extra modes in pikmin 3

I don't get why all the haters take "7 year old" or "old game" as an argument to lower the price.
I wanted to buy it but I bought so much already. So it's in my wishlist.
Your explanation at the end on why people should get Pikmin 3 Deluxe was absolutely flawless
Honestly you sold me. I have hoped for the Rayman franchise to come back and be big again and i think this game sorta shares the same pureness/charm so i honestly might buy it.

Hurryle Warriors a game I don't care about
Nintendo: play this forget about that plant game
The three pikmin games are my three favorite games of all time and it makes me furious that some people aren't willing to give it a try, I have no joke stayed up worrying that pikmin would have the same fate as chibi robo
Welp if the game does die , it will be remembered in smash😔✌
I honestly have a theory that olimar being "non-desirable" in smash is the reason that pikmin hasn't done well
I want to buy the game but I’m broke sadly. But the demo is pretty fun.
I have serious difficulty accepting resource loss so Pikmin was agony for me.

I grew up with pikmin 2. I remember renting 1 once. I got the Wii version of 1 but never beat it. I would love to get 3, but money...
I didn't give buying this game a second thought since I already have it on the Wii U but all the positive things I'm hearing about it is making me reconsider...
If you complete the demo, you get access to Ultra Spicy. It's a fun experience. Just uh, don't expect Hard to be Hard. From what I heard, it's literally the Wii U's difficulty.

They did Chibi-Robo dirty. The old "hold the series hostage unless enough people buy the latest title" bit was in especially poor taste.
I've been trying to get my friends to just try the demo, but they won't! It's so frustrating!

No offense Gamecube and Wii U.
Well there was ports of Pikmin one and two on the wii

I also REALLY want more Chibi-Robo... *badly.*
Good news. Pikmin 3 sold better than Nintendo intended. Heck it sold more than pikmin itself (the first game). I think the pikmin franchise is safe for another game.
This was my first pikmin game and I think it was fantastic
I got this game because literally so the franchise doesn't die. This is my first pikmin game and I had no special interest in the franchise, but I just couldn't see this one go out like that
Thanks for doing all us Pikmin fans such a service, and I really hope you enjoy the game :)

This sadly never works. Otherwise they'd still be making SSX, burnout and mirror's edge games thanks to my day 1 purchases
@@lpnp9477 gotta disagree. Each person plays a part and the best we can do is buy the games we want to support and tell other people about them as well. It's so saddening that pikmin 1 and 2 sold so poorly. They were and still are 2 of my favorite games, full of charm and such a wonderful atmosphere.
IMO Pikmin 2 > 3 > 1 > 3DS
No time limit and caves where there's no daylight limit is what made it amazing.
I don't think it's fair putting Hey! Pikmin in the same category as the other three games and grading it based off of them, as it's a completely different type of game from the main series...
@@isaiahmiranda7609 I just ranked them in terms of the enjoyment I got out of them, not saying they're all the same at all

@@dylannaville850 time management _is_ an essential part of the Pikmin series, but the problem with caves isn't the fact that time freezes while you're exploring one: really, I'd say that it's a massive benefit of how they work. The problem, I believe, with the caves is the fact that they sometimes go on for *way* too long, or at least the later ones do, and you could spend the length of time of several in-game days in just _one_ cave- and even more if you go through more than one cave, during just ONE day...

Not buying unless it’s a sequel. I don’t have the money to buy it

Just Pikmin3?
Why not release all three on the Switch Nintendo?
They're trying to gauge whether the series will be successful enough to continue. Pikmin 3 seems to be the most polished and approachable game, most likely to attract new players and not put them off. That's my theory.
I’ll be sure to buy it when I’ve finished my backlog
Wich Pikmin will you chose?
Edelgard, the red one. Even tho she seems disciplined and calm on her outside, her willpower can crush her enemies like roaring flames.
Dimitri, the Blue one. A noble knight truly but is the wish for justice and honor the only thing about him? He has another maybe darker side, we have yet to discover.
Claude, the yellow(golden) one. When Claude does things, then he does it with sparking joy. He may seem lighthearted and funny on the first glance, but when he laughs his smile quite doesn't reach his eyes..
Chose wisely.
i will buy it when im not broke. looks like pure fun, similar to mario indeed
i never even heard about this coming
How
How have you not heard about this. Nintendo has been hyping it up for weeks, not as much as Age of Calamity but still

i just wanted to say, i really like this new style of content you've been posting lately! keep it up, it's great!
and with that out of the way, i was slightly interested in Pikmin 3 Deluxe prior to watching, and was leaning towards getting it, but you brought up a great point here and i'm happy to say you convinced me to get it in the end, because i do really want to see this series thrive!
thank you, hope to see more from you! ^.^
Pros of buying it:
-You Support the series and make PIKMIN 4 possible
Cons of buying it:
-Why waste 60 dollars on a stupid port with only 1 screen when you can just play the original.
its not wasted plus the gamepads enormous and having 2 screens does not make pikmin 3 a better game. just play with wiimote tbh its far superior, snd the gyro controls work fine anyway lets add some pros
-lots of new replayable content and advancing the difficulty of the 3rd game, because a common complaint about pikmin.3 is that it is incredibly easy
-another complaint beijg the piklopedia has been added in which is spectacular fan service
-no gamepad
My main issue with me getting Pikmin 3 deluxe is that.. i already have it. On wii u. For 6 years. I don't really want to double dip on a system i already have a backlog for to play a game that I already have.
I get the feeling Miyamoto is the biggest Pikmin fan in the world. I think they'll keep making Pikmin games (slowly) until he retires.
I love pikmin 3 so god damn much, the music the gameplay it's fucking pikmin.
The title of this video scared me. I thought it meant that pikmin 3 deluxe was limited like 3d all stars
If that was case my question will be why
Pikmin 3 was the first pikmin I played and I absolutely loved it
Me who doesn’t know what the f*ck a picmin is: *well sh*t*
Bought it, story mode was over before I knew it. Really felt like a missed opportunity. Here's your blue Pikmin, oh and here's the last level right after.
Have you played with a buddy? That makes the experience so much better. Also, collecting all the fruit is at least a few extra in-game days, and it’s pretty fun. Also, the Bonus Challenges are arguably more fun than the actual game (especially with a partner) and I definitely recommend playing those.
11:20 yea I tried getting my ex into the series before we broke up and she legitimately didn’t like pikmin
There must be 50 reasons to leave your partner.
This is one of them
Arent you the guy who uploaded i don't understand Nintendo?
Game was great, although a bit shorter than I would have wished
I want the next pikmin game to have a character as developed as Olimar in the first game. To me, he's nintendo's most human character, and while we get fleeting glimpses of that character in the piklopedia and his data files, nothing really measures up to his daily log. In Pikmin, Olimar will beat himself up is he kills a pikmin with a bomb, repeating the instructions over and over, saying their melting faces are burned into his memory. When there's an extinction, he calls himself a failure as a captain and leader, saying he shan't sleep. Over the course of the game he develops a love with the pikmin that he never gets to express, as seen in his side of Ai no Uta. No later captain has lived up to his depth and i wish that one would.
Pikmin is my favorite Nintendo title
I wanted to buy it earlier. I'm working hard but it's a warehouse unload job my back wont survive more than 40 hours. Then I heard Walmart did their black Friday event early, which is where I was going to grab a switch and pikmin. Oh well I'll just save till official black Friday or maybe longer, I heard theres a new switch on the horizon
If a new pikmin where to release with a 4k switch i would 100% get it if it where a launch title (doesn't seem like my type of game)
the fate of pikmin is up to us, we must share the game with anyone we come across and make converts, we are aided in this challenge with p3d being on the switch one of nintendo's best consoles, but in the end it's up to us to share the game with everyone we meet. For the possibility of pikmin 4, for Steve the red pikmin, for pikmin hut, and most importantly for the sanity of r/pikmin. If you are already a fan who has p3d share the game. If your a fan who doesn't have p3d yet buy it and share it's existence. And if your not an already fan but plan on buying p3d, we're happy to welcome you to our cute, and happy family. Wow, I was actually surprised at the Pikmin 3 sales. While it's low... that's actually not bad. Thought it would be way worse on the Wii U. It did more than Pikmin 2 though? Not bad.
It's all because of Miyamoto that the Pikmin team is still making games. If Miyamoto never had this much love for the franchise, I doubt that the series would even exist past the original Pikmin, just like Kirby Air ride.
This was my favorite of Wiiu "Pikmin 3" still my favorite, the history and the end, everything is amazing :( since my wii u broke I couldn't play it anymore, and when I heard about this port I was so happy, so I'm waiting the Christmas to buy this
