Shuffle board piece is called a weight hinting at the weight of the barbell is what’s going to knock people out. The pawn moves 2 spaces first (2 rounds) then 1 space after that (1 round). We hinged last week so it’s gotta be a squat and with it only being 25% there’s gonna be no skill in the workouts so,Here’s mine:

I had the pleasure of being one of the stand-in athletes yesterday at your gym for the rehearsal of the open announcement. It was pretty neat seeing behind the scenes, and how things work. I have absolutely no clue what the workout is going to be. Also got to meet your beautiful pup. Unfortunately I can’t be there today to do the scoring. I wish you the best of luck.
Thanks for the shout out. Happy to be helpful. FWIW, I think you're right that this clue suggests the need for strategy. When I saw it, my first thought was "he's sacrificing his pawn," which is a basic chess move that one employs to gain a positional advantage on their next turn. So, I'm thinking a two part workout in which choosing to sacrifice in round one will give you an advantage in round two. But I could clearly be wrong. Either way, I hope you kill it tomorrow. (Although be kind to Colten. I feel terrible about his mom.)

The sound of the weight shuffling across the board also kind of sounds like a Rower so I feel its 2 Parts.
Part A: Rowing and Chest to bar
Part B: Heavy lift of some kind. Maybe a Clean since we did snatching in 24.1
A pawn can move two spaces at the start of there first round. (double unders at the start of every round)

The new turf looks great. Pawns can also only move forward so maybe the puck knocking it out implies this workout goes back to the beginning multiple times…AMRAP! with a machine and high bar movement maybe one other thing and then a max lift at the end is my guess.
Since Chess and Shuffle Board are different games, my guess is that it is a two part workout. The pawn might represent a buy-in or something simple that is replaced by the serious workout, the Shuffle board.

I read someone saying that it symbolized the heavy weights kicking the lighter athletes' butts. I am afraid this might be it! Some heavy barbell. I like going heavy... but that's definitely my main weakness! But there is no choosing right? So bring it on. Like we say in Italy, " Quando finisce la partita il re ed il pedone finiscono nella stessa scatola" = “When the game ends, the king and pawn end up in the same box”!😄

“Pawn”, when playing chess in German, literally translates to “farmer”. So it could maybe symbol heavy farmer carries in a shuttle run format. And because he kicks it.. maybe double unders? 😂

There are 16 pawns on a chess board, 8 black and 8 white. I am guessing 16 walking lunges (the puck moving by) 8 on each side. And probably a bunch more. but I think 16 is going to be in there somewhere.
