The first big trip out of the Shire! 😃It felt good to cross the Welsh border in the new van! I live near Chirk and it is a place that my late dh and I used to come to a lot, one of our favourite spots in fact, Brought back lots of happy memories, haven't been able to bring myself to go back since he died 20 months ago but I think I will now after watching this video so thank you! Btw you did totally murder the pronunciation of the aqueduct haha

That park up was the best i have ever stayed! Saw the sunrise in the east, sunset in the west & saw the stars so clear at night.
And I didnt knick your parking space you just werent quick enough 🤣

Pont cy sy ll te 😂 Say it like you see it pont - cy is pronounced like the cu in cup, sy like the su in sun, ll is a bit like a th if you can't do the Welsh Ll, te like the te in tennis.

If you ever want to visit the forerunner of that aqueduct, where Thomas Telford practiced his design let me know... It's also the second oldest (and oldest surviving) Iron Aqueduct in the world.

Mate, the games already over... Most of these park ups have no overnight parking signs up. Including this one. The key is to always respect your environment, leave no trace and leave peacefully without fuss if asked to do so. There are no "free" park ups in the UK as such. It's about what you can get away with. Smile and enjoy the adventure 🙂

I watched Matti's vid and he said this was filmed around the Easter holiday? Its mad cause id taken the kids to Prestatyn on April 10 and on the 11th we went to Llandudno and went up the Great Orme, we stopped to watch the seals on the rocks below that was lovely then we went into the Iron age copper mines, its so beautiful on the Orme, just wish we had the weather it was raining cats and dogs 😂 Would have been awesome if we'd have crossed paths the kids often sit and watch you too.

Hi Brendan, great video, I've been over both viaducts and through Chirk tunnel in a narrowboat which we rented for a week back in 2018. Wales has some amazing scenery. It's all go I have the funds now just need to decide to go built Vs build on a VW transporter of some sort .there so many variations and specs I have to do my research first before diving in an spending best part of 17000

@@BrendanExplores my wife works in a hotel opposite where you parked roughly 4 doors down, she was dropping some keys off there, and by sheer luck your vans were there, and being a big fan of TVPs there the only vans I drive, and break for over 20yrs, easily spotted. Me and My 9yr old son watch all the videos religiously, as he enjoys the vans and stealth camping himself, we camp every weekend without fail, over to llanberis, free water taps, 24hr toilets, never a problem parking up, catch some trout or salmon for dinner, cooked on a open fire, can’t beat it. Enjoy mate..

That's an awesome view of where I live (Anglesey) but you all have to come here and park up at Penmon so you could see Llandudno, I kinda prefer this view but then again, I'm biased. Haha.

I would advise taking out personal indemnity insurance for cycling. British Cycling offer this. I commute by cycle and would advise this.
