50ppm is the low end maximum. Your alarm will go off at between 50 and 80ppm normally, more than 50 for a prolonged exposure could lead to sickness or even death. Your monitor should be placed at a high level in the van as CO rises when warm and then slowly drops in to the room(van), so you want it on the roofline of the van on the side wall. Great episode as usual.
I fell in the pool underneath that waterfall a couple of years ago when it was in full flow in the middle of winter 🙈 it’s nicer close up and is a feature that is part of the Clwyedog trail that starts in Minera and ends in Erddig. Some lovely walks around the Wrexham area. My sis also got married in Bersham church. Beautiful place!
It’s crazy how you park in “car parks”. We call them parking lots. But here in the US you can drive for hours(miles) deep into national forests. literally thousand of acres of wild forest. Just camp anywhere. Build a fire anywhere here 🔥 🌲 You could go a month and see nobody. And we take it for granted
@BrendanExplores always enjoy your videos. The ship even had a Casino on it. There's a video on RUclips of someone who recently gained access to it, one of these Urban Explorer Groups.
I thought there might of been something a little more breathtaking than that lol. Cheers for the heads-up mate 👍 if I'm around that way again, I know now 🙂
St Mary’s church in Besham is indeed a lovely little church. It’s been closed for approximately 2 years due to a legal dispute involving the guarantee on the underfloor heating. Apparently they are struggling to claim against the original contractor who installed it in 1782, he’s become a bit of an enigma and remains difficult to locate despite extensive searches. Once they can resolve this they plan to laminate the entire floor, install new UPVC windows and doors and replace the solar panels on the roof, as the original ones are a little tatty. Hope this helps. Great vlog mate enjoyed it👍🏻👍🏻
Brendan..normal c.o levels are 0 to 9/10ppm so for example…a smokers house may be 10 ppm…. In reality in an average house it’s 0%…. So absolutely ventilate if you are cooking using gas etc….
carbon monoxide levels - 9ppm is the max safe limit indoors for prolonged period. 200ppm is fatal in hours, 800ppm is fatal in minutes. Always vent when cooking!
Amazing what is out there when you explore the great outdoors. That ship looked epic they should open it up and do tours on it or something look forward to seeing where you get too next buddy 😎
Loved the finds/treasures on this trip - saved this vid for future reference 👍🏻 TY I know you and Mattie have been mates for yonks but you seem more like brothers 🍻 to your combined trips 🤗
Class as always! Thank you for sharing! P.S Carbon monoxide... Low levels 50ppm or below.. medium 51ppm to 100ppm and dangerous levels are 101-200ppm ;)
Great video Brendan, I remember that ship from my dad taking me into wales at the weekends, it certainly brought back memories. The food looked good too, I like how matte had finished his off before you had even got to start yours, 😂. Keep them videos coming mate, I’ve been at work all day today and look forward to coming home to watch your videos. 👍

Cheers Denis 👍 yeh that rice definitely had a kick 🤣. To be fair, Matti has done the washing up a couple of times as well but yes I look after him well lol
Another great video, Brendan. Passed that ship many times but never got a closer look! Also, 8:10 you more or less nailed the pronounciation, well done! :)
That's good you've got a 750 watts kettle and it's cordless. I've got a small 1000 watts kettle but the cord is always attached and so it's a bit dangerous as it's too short a cable. Mine is more like a mini kettle you get in a hotel room. I think your kettle is more insulated like a flask so it heats up more efficiently.
@@BrendanExplores ah right. I've also got a 120 watt DC kettle but it takes about 17 minutes to boil a cup of water. I never use it any more as there's no point, its more for car if you have no inverter. I did buy a 600 watt morphy Richards coffee machine for my van. I just put in the water and coffee the night before and in the morning I just turn on the inverter and press the on switch on the coffee machine.
Hey Brendan, I did comment this eariler but it dosnt seem to have posted for some reason.. I've been past this ship many a time on the train, but I never knew you could even get down to it like that or along the front of the coastline. Looking up some history of the ship it only launched from down the road in Lancaster (hence the name) with me being in Preston, It seems they also hold events / fun days there and had one recently going off their Facebook page. Great video as always 👍
Yeh 14 on your carbon monoxide whilst not mega dangerous is certainly enough to do damage if youre hitting those figures regularly and for hours on end. If you hit 30 ish you’re gonna get sick albeit mildly. Higher still and you’re gonna have issues defo . I’d personally be much more vented
@@BrendanExplores I know it's reasonably secure as a few people went, only way aboard was to climb the chain, and the owners went to the news and claimed they attacked the security guard
As always, it's great to 'virtually' hang out with you and Matti! That ship was very cool! I hope the owners are able to get it up and running. Sad to see it just sit. Now I have to go and investigate the origins of chili con carne! My parents, who are from South Africa, always called chili that, but it's not something I hear at all here in North America, let alone a sauce made for creating it! It's always just chili. Now I'm wondering if it's a European term. And Bang Bang rice! Never heard of that either! Sounds spicy! Take care and see you next week!

To be fair on the council the reasons why they objected to the plans by the owners are many and in my opinion quite valid - plenty of them were around fire safety, access/egress to the ship, the road and the then car parking facilities to name a few. Good points there mate 👍 I just find sometimes when you give a little bit of power to a small number of people they can take things too far but I hope that's not the case here. Yeh the vans more or less finished now, just got to iron out a few things and it's complete 😁
What exactly does a 10 year guarantee cover on a mattress because I find it hard to believe it will be in good shape 5 years later. I was given a barely used 10-11 inch mattress and it was going downhill after just a few years.
