SCARY ATTACK WHILE VAN CAMPING! Stealth Camping GONE WRONG In Jaywick...

- MY SCARY NIGHT VAN CAMPING! After a day of exploring Jaywick, everything had gone wrong when I tried to stealth camp in my camper van and get some sleep. I was awoken at 2am by the sound of footsteps outside, then they tried to open the door before smashing my front window to try and steal my fridge... Not my best camping experience but it will not stop me from carrying on with my adventures! After hundreds of successful camps, this has never happened to me before and I hope it never happens again #vanlife #stealthcamping #gonewrong #camper #campervan #camping

Thank you all for your kind words and concerns ❤️. It's been a couple weeks since this happened now and I've been out on another camp since 👍 this has not and will not deter me! As I mentioned in the video, this is an extremely rare occurrence so please don't be put off getting out there and enjoying the great outdoors! Sadly, I was just unlucky and in hindsight, a little bit stupid to of stayed in the spot that I did. See you all soon in the next (positive) video 🙂
Edit: p.s
Although I parked up and cooked a meal in Jaywick, the final camp spot was not in Jaywick. It was somewhere between Jaywick and Colechester 👍. I always give you my first/raw impressions of a place as it happens and initially, Jaywick was a perfectly normal coastal town. It was only as the sun started setting that I started to feel unsafe with cars and motorbikes ripping around the streets.. I've got nothing against Jaywick or the people of Jaywick 👍
Don’t put yourself in dangerous situations, you’re out there to enjoy yourself, I’d rather watch a peaceful park up than you risking life n limb
That is so scary! Stay safe😮
You might consider some motion activated flood lights on the outside of your vehicle. Also definitely think about a personal security alarm. Glad you're unharmed.
Just found you 🙂
I watch a few usa chann , there's one that always pull's blinds down when she leaves her her RV so people can't see in and be tempted
Hi'ya can you please give me the title to the
Trip to clacton on sea
😐💚💅✨
You need an alarm on the van which you can trigger with a remote. If the light start flashing and a siren goes off, it may scare the average theif.
That would be smart
That sucks..sorry you went through that. Maybe some exterior cameras and a loud alarm to scare people away
Thief.
I before E accept after C.
Good idea! I was thinking about the first line of defense. I usually sleep with a head lamp at the ready too!
As soon as I see someone on my security camera snooping around, I hop into my drivers seat and just go. I don’t sit and wait for someone to damage my camper van before I tear out. 🥺
Sorry to hear Brendan. Thugs. 5 of my next door neighbours have physically attacked me in the last couple of years. I'm an old man. It's terrible. Chin up young man. Keep on camping'
That is horrible. I hope it stops. Best wishes
Bully’s are bully’s when they are allowed to get away with what they do. Cps are very lenient on the elderly when they take the law into their own hands. Just saying
5 different neighbours? Or 5 in one house? That doesn't sound nice at all...
How absolutely horrible for you sir. I pray you remain safe from now on. If I was your neighbour I’d protect you. God keep this man safe in Jesus name! 🙏🏼💜🛐
thank you so much. You're very kind@@LisaMarie51968
Sorry it happened Brendan. The learning point for everyone is MAKE SOME NOISE and put some lights on as soon as your hear someone outside. Thieves will give up as soon as they see there is someone in the van. They are there to steal not fight. If they fancy having a go other than stealing then it will happen anyway if we stay quiet. 👍
Cheers guys, yeh in hindsight I wish I had shouted earlier before they put the window in.. I've stayed quiet before and it's paid off but when they tried to door I should of definitely made a noise at that point. Horrible experience but it won't stop me from continuing to enjoy many more camps 👍 safe travels both
❤
As soon as I hear anyone outside, I make as much noise as poss, radio on loud, lights on, shout etc, then get self thru to front click headlights on, n usually then moved to elsewhere 👌👌👍👍👍
@@BrendanExplores yep, here in Texas in good ole USA, as soon as widow busted, they would have few extra holes in them
@@reo7575or more guns in circulation means they just shoot you through the side of the van whilst you sleep?
Here's something towards your broken window Brendan. Just watched your video. Hope this helps. Cheers Steve.
Thank you very much mate 🙏👍 your a diamond. It certainly will help mate
This just doesn’t only happen in England. It happens in the USA too. I’m sorry it happened to you. You have such a nice van. People are so awful.
@gracieg7601 he was asking for it , imagine parking your van in the worst ghetto of Detroit and wondering why a crackhead broke in. That's basically what he did Jaywick is notorious
@@silvertain1978It didn't happen in Jaywick, it was on some remote land between Colchester and Jaywick (so nowhere near Jaywick). He was very unlucky.
God bless your safety, it's so sad that some people take the joy of our camping. Please stay safe
Cant believe you even went to Jaywick! Research is key. Glad your ok and love the vids. Stay safe! 😂
Never been but heard of it!
Greetings from Laos. I never have any problems camping and hiking. Maybe it's different culture from where I live. Many British expats live in Laos. They have beautiful homes here. They grow their own food and enjoy nature year round.
yeah I was thinking the same thing. That place is rough.
@@clarelwc2849I have and it's a complete dump it's criminal really that the town is that deprived in a country like England. There's nothing there for anyone and most have severe mental issues and depressed and some on drugs. But this was around 5-10 years ago it's most likely still the same.
When it’s dark the 2 legged rats come out!
When you said you found the perfect quiet spot... after driving away from the town, down a quiet pitch black lane in the middle of nowhere with nobody else around for miles... at that point...I was absolutely terrified!! How on earth you managed to get to sleep to begin with amazes me. A few blokes with their hoods pulled down and armed... and you wouldn't have stood a chance... well done for making it back home 👍
Isolated and alone is great as long as it stays like that, if it doesn’t then you’re potentially in Queer Street. I try to run the balance of quiet but alongside civilisation. Been lucky but I’ve been careful, a case of you makes your own luck at times. 🤞
@@misdangered4326no, it’s a case of show basic manners, you don’t ask if you can kip on someone’s land, they won’t ask if they can remove your vehicle and it’s contents, he’s lucky it wasn’t a tractor lifting it with a loader, he’s driving the same kind of van that many tool and farmyard thieves drive, it’s no surprise to anyone who knows the countryside that this happened.
Completely agree
@@terra_world which bit did I miss? I'm happy to be proven wrong if I am, we don't learn if we never admit to being wrong, but I was pretty sure I listened from start to finish.
Which part did I miss, genuinely I'm open to knowing.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I think townsfolk are more civil. I lived in the countryside and as my grandad warned his daughters not to marry a local because their noses are too near the ground I think I understand how the small minded operate!
Brendan: "I'm struggling to see really what's so terrible about Jaywick".
Jaywick: "We'll soon see about that".
FYI you should never spray vegetable oil in the pan while it’s on the stove..I’ve done that and started a stove fire because those are flammable..❤❤
Good advice 👍 I agree, it was a silly thing to do. Thanks for your concern 🙂
I regularly stay in the nicest parts of London overnight and I know even there it can be dodgy, I'd never push my luck in the more deprived parts of the country and Jaywick is literally the most deprived part of the UK.
are you on drugs, or high on floor polish??? the entirety of London is a sewer.
I live not far from Jaywick in Harwich - honestly I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone - glad your safe xxxx
As an American, I was blown away at the churches we visited in the most unlikely areas. In the smallest villages. Beautiful. We plan to do a trip just visiting churches around Europe one day.
I told u before that Fridge u keep on the seat is trouble....dont keep anything on the front seats that people can see....
Yes I remember mate 😥 I think covering it probably did more harm than good if I'm honest...
Always that thing of it wont happen to me ... until it does . Just shows the level of society
@@BrendanExplores we've all toldnhim
I use to play a recording of a dog barking whenever I heard something outside the van worked every time it scares them off make so they think there's a wild dog in the van 😂😂😂😅
I had a dog in my van it did scare them off. But I jumped in the drivers seat and got the hell away m. But yes I thought this.. Dog barking audio. Better than alarm i the middle of nowhere.
Security film on all windows is a MUST ❤🌷
Invest in a few cameras Brendon. There are some tiny ones around which use very little power, easily concealed and are easily fitted inside around the van. A notice marked cameras fitted also helps deter the scumbags!
Brendan, it's jaywick.... Once l parked in a multi storey car park in Southend in the90s. And the attendant told me leave before it's dark, and they had CCTV. 🤔🤔🤔🇫🇷🇫🇷
I live in South Carolina in the US and I've heard of Jay Wick..I follow Bald and Bankrupt ..He was there about 4 or 5 months ago..Not a very good place to be, especially camping..🥺
Yea this guy seems a nice fella but he isn’t the brightest spark, I thought most in the U.K. had heard of this place for its awful rep for crime ect, non the less I do feel sorry for him, just wish people are a little bit more switched on to areas their in, it can happen anywhere but a lot less likely if you don’t go to a crime hotspot.
Jaywick is rough as ten bears! Vile place
I definitely found that out mate.. I won't be going back anytime soon
Grow some balls and go looking for the wankers
I'll come with ya if you want to go back and it'll be sorted grow some balls
And vile people!!
@@BrendanExploresdon’t you watch the news 🤣
Solar powered/usb powered motion detector lamps attached to the sides & back of the minivan by magnets. They are inexpensive & best deterrent. Good luck
Glad your OK, I had a clear film Put on my vans front windows. It stops the glass falling in after its broken. Makes it that little harder for them. Plus stops glass going everywhere.
Thats very sensible 👍
My Lord, our poor world. You act like it's just a game... like it should be considered normal.
Guess what, people didn't have to live like this 20-30-40-50 years ago. Liberals now accept it as normal now. BS, where I live, had I been sleeping in that van, medics would have been shoveling the remains of some soulless thugs into heavy duty lawn bags. That would be considered life threatening and at least one less welfare check would have to be mailed each month. Until EVERYONE stops accepting this as "normal", you will soon have nothing. This bro's interaction with the old ladys asking bout bakerys and cream cakes was brilliant.

Hey Brendan, glad you chose to share this. While this is not the normal experience of van camping. I do feel it gives people a chance to reflex on their choice of park-ups before committing to staying the night. Hope to see you on the road again soon.
Hey buddy, yeh I wasn't sure if I should post such a negative video but I hope it doesn't put people off.. it's a very rare occurrence and I doubt and hope it will never happen again. Catch up with you soon mate
Glad to hear your ok and that in the end they just broke a window, I can only imagine how terrified you were.
Keep you the great work on the videos and dont let it put you off.
And this is why I like having a panic alarm on my key fob.... for the instances that I feel unsafe -I can push it to hopefully scare away any unwelcome intruders. Glad you are safe.
The nice thing about living in the States, is that we can be legally armed. Yes, there are regulations and laws which must be followed, but generally I am never without a concealed carry 9mm.
Same
@@flawedexistenceunfortunately it works both ways - thieves may be armed as well. And gun wont save your window from being smashed if you do not make them aware you are in there.
It never occurred to me I could use my panic button if I'm ever in this situation. Thank you for this!! 😊
@@janisskapars2081 Breaking my window is far preferable to dying. And if I am in the vehicle, my firearm will absolutely make my presence known!!
Jaywick is the bowels of England!
That was a great meal you created, shows with a little thought and imagination and with little space and minimal appliances..how you can still enjoy a lovely meal 👌🏼
Yikes! from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm glad he ran off, and you are ok. I have a conceal and carry for moments like these. I also have pepper spray and a stun gun. I'm 71 years young and believe in the right to bear arms for self-protection.
Good on you!
Of all the beautiful places in the uk you could have drove to, you end up in jaywick, lol, but glad you're ok, before that happened it looked like you was having a smashing time and that curry looked amazing.
smashing time really? Bad choice of words for this video.
Brendan, so sorry this happened to you 😔 These Neanderthals are breathing the same air as us. I’ll stop now, or I’ll go into rant-mode. Glad you’re safe. Chin-up, buddy 👍
Bit harsh
@@Whatsthestorytodayno, he's right.
We have an alarm on my van. It is comforting because I am 75 and alone.
There is a grass car park just off the sea front in jaywick that is surrounded by houses and free to park. Ive parked there overnight, there were 2 other vans doing the same. Jaywick is rough tho. You definitely need to stay where others are nearby.
Sorry that happened.
Reminds me of being alone in the mountains of the Willamette valley, drug-addled thieves wandering around. Stolen cars here and there. By day a person may see them but not knowing for sure who the perps actually are, nothing can be done. I am sorry this happened to you!
Lucky BF didn’t visit you! 🦍 👣
You can stay anywhere when you have a big loyal dog. I loveg to hear the screams in the night as Bullmastiffs tend not to bark.
Can they put out fires?
I agree totally.
i would never put my animals in harm's way
Well, my Shorkie although brave wouldn't be much good but a big dog is usually a deterrent on sight@@wannabetrucker7475

Scary stuff. Jaywick certainly lived up to its repuattion. I admire your enthusiasm for car camping. Well done brave man.
22:31 almost gave me a heart attack - not to mention hearing them try the door, a few seconds before that! So glad you're ok. I'm subscribing. Thumbs up and safe travels!
As a child we always had at least one week away camping during school holidays. As an adult I've been once. Two of us were out camping and a guy was recounting a situation where the tent was slashed that was about 30 yr5 ago.
Get a light and siren that works from inside and as soon as you hear a noise turn the light on.
If they dont go, then hit the siren.
Its a brave soul that stays once an alarm goes off.
MY BROTHER HAS A BOAT HORN ON HIS LINCOLN.
“Love Sundays” got his van interfered with after making a Lamb stew, you got window smashed after making a Lamb curry 🤔…
If I were you mate I’d go Vegetarian or at least stick to Beef, it’ll be safer.

Very true 👍 I'll be choosing my places differently next time I think
@@BrendanExplores Glad you got home safe and you're being very sensible, lesson learnt, but they were probably shocked when you shouted, so I hope they had to change their underwear when they got home, Bloody Sh** heads lol. That'll teach them.

Rough place there, mate... Good job, you were not harmed in the making of this video. Keep up the good work you do 👍
Cheers buddy 👍 yeh I'm glad I got home safe but I'll be back out before you know it
Anti-shatter film. Might make them think they can't break in. I read of a lady which had the film over a house window and it took half an hour, after the burglar left, for the glass to show signs.
Extremely glad that you are safe! Scary to say the least! Im happy for your family too, that you as a husband, and dad are ok. We love seeing England, ect. thanks to you! You are awesome! From America, the state of Iowa.
A good reason for not going to an unknown place especially in the dark. So glad you were not hurt or robbed!
Glad you are ok. I saw a documentary on Jaywick recently it is one of the most deprived towns in the Uk high crime rates and severe poverty. It used to be a lovely holiday town in the late 1950s. Such a shame!
You need some spotlights/floodlights or a loud alarm on a switch, hitting it on as soon as you have seen someone about would have likely scared them off, most are just opportunists. They try the door, no alarm goes off, so they put in a window.
Handled like a pro mate! So glad you've not let this put you off, love your attitude of putting this experience in perspective with all the undisturbed camps. I carry an air pistol and I'm not afraid to point it out a window, lit up with a torch and ask them if they fancy their chances !! I'm also looking at getting cameras for the rear and front so I can see what anyones up to. I think it's a wise investment x
I'm glad you are safe! That must have been terrifying experience and being on your own in the middle of nowhere! I was curious to see what really happened. It would have been interesting if you showed us the damage of your window the next morning, but you didn't, only showed a black bag covering the window. Anyway please don't take risks and keep safe!
😮😮Omg ,that's scary!!! Please take care okay.... Feel sorry for you and your van.. Hoping the best for you
@@SistLor thank you 🙏 I'm ok now and I've been out again 👍 thanks for your concern
Need loud alarms and bright outside lights on when criminals are present
Yeh I definitely need to invest in some security upgrades 👍
Never heard of the place and just Googled this….
What is the most deprived neighbourhood in the UK?
Having measured the states of deprivation across thirty-two thousand eight hundred and forty-four areas in the country, the researchers concluded that the community that lies east of Jaywick near Clacton-on-Sea is the most deprived region in the country.
Sorry that happened 😕. In the future, keep your keys next to you in the van. The moment you even think someone's next to your vehicle - hit your panic button on your key remote!!!!! That way they may flee without doing damage, hopefully...
Stay Safe 🙏
Are thieves in your part of the world as brazen as U.S? They target newer vans by drilling a hole in the gas tank (while I slept), so one of 2 things happen. the owner gets out, they take the van at gun point or the owner leaves, runs out of gas and they take the van. I honked my horn and fob alarm until other people came out of their vehicles. Thieves left and I was stuck with a $2500 US bill. I drove home to Canada and NEVER again go to the gun crazy States
I'm glad you are OK. A suggestion, 3M makes, 3M Safey Window Film, that goes on your windows to make it so they can't break the window and get in. I'd it does break, it seemed to hold the glass and they still can't get in, according to the video I saw. Also invest in a security camera system and motion lights. It will help detour people if lights come on and the camera system will record everything, faces ect. It's a safety feature that I have learned from traveling in my truck for the past 2 1/2 yrs. Also you should carry something for protection in the event that the situation calls for it. I certainly do. Just suggestions. But good ones. Be safe out there.
Thanks for the tips buddy 👍 I appreciate that. It's a shame we can't carry something legally to defend ourselves as I would of felt a lot safer. That glass film sure does sound like a good investment for anything happening in the future. Definitely saves me having to clean glass out the cab again
First rule of safety - the minute you are aware of someone outside the van, jump behind the wheel and start the van!! And drive off... usually the minute the engine starts would-be crooks or attackers will leg it. But UTMOST importance is to immediately try to drive off, DON'T leave the safety of your van, especially alone.
Gutted for you mate, glad you are ok and it hasn't put you off completely. I unfortunately know Jaywick and Peterborough city centre well enough to know they are not somewhere I would camp. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I'm sure you'll do your research differently ,none of us would want you to put yourself at risk for the content.
Cheers buddy, yeh I thought it would be a different place to park up but I think in hindsight, I should of chose somewhere different for sure.
It's jaywick mate, the most deprived, poverish town in Essex.....kinda have to expect it mate
got to be honest jaywick is an open prison definitely wouldnt park a vechile there if you want it intact the next day
When he said it was like the most deprived places in the UK, and he was going to go there for the night... I actually thought, "What an idiotic thing to do."
I'm from the USA, and I could only think that he's going into a ghetto type situation....poor, desperate people, many who have no issue in mugging/stealing stuff. It's not shocking at all in what happened to him. He's an outsider and in a nice looking van, he made himself a target.
Whenever i hear a noise outside my van, i usually rock my van and drop my dumbbell weight on the floor very loudly.
They usually scurry away. 😂
Not bad advice 👍 I shouldn't made noise earlier in hindsight
@@BrendanExplores A dog barking soundtrack works good too if you shake a chain as you make your way to the driver seat. They'll think u have a dog and definitely wont break your window to meet him 😁
You'll be finding that glass for years. That's what it was like when it happened to me
I suggest, soon as you hear footsteps or someone trying to open your door..lay on the horn or get a CD of a large dog or two barking wildly.
Yeh in hindsight I should of made a noise at that point as it would of probably saved my window 😔
I'm glad you're ok, but as a single female who's been van camping full time since 1998 inSoCal, trust me when I say YOU NEED A DOG. In over 25 years of full-timing, I've only had one incident, and that was in Huntington Beach, CA It was me @ 5'7" 135bs (at the time) against 3 young adult males. The largest guy (approx 5'11 and 18 or 19 years old) wanted me to come out and fight him, despite knowing I am a woman. My windows were rolled down 1/3 of the way and he started punching through my velcro screen and hitting me in the face. Once the screen was fully pushed in, I pepper-sprayed him point blank, but I didn't know I should've shaken the spray first, so it didnt kick in right away. My 45 lb Staffordshire terrier Bodhi didn't do anything because he didn't sense fear, but my mama's boy (a 75lb Great Dane/Lab/Pit mix with a Dane-sized jaw) jumped right in and clamped down on the guy's arm. I turned the engine over and took off, dragging the guy for about 100 feet til Baby let go. By then the pepper spray had kicked in and the guy didn't want any part of me. I drove off, freaking out because I had personalized plates, and eventually found a cop. When I told the cop what happened he high-fived me and told me that the dimwit would have gone home immediately to wash off the pepper spray, which was also in his open wounds on his arm (punctures and lacerations from my dog grabbing him) and that once in the shower to wash it over, gravity would take over as the spray traveled south over his junk. He said that my dog and I taught him a better lesson than the cops would've; who knows, but it sure was an adrenaline rush. I drove to my winter home in San Clemente and hit a secret spot. Haven't had any issues since. My adopted dog saved the day. Moral of the story: adopt, dont shop, and shake your pepper spray! (Now I carry my police tazer with me among a few other self-defense tools).
I never knew you were supposed to shake the pepper spray either. I carry it all the time. Never read anything that says to do that. Hopefully the cops are out looking for that guy.
Why on earth would you get out of the vehicle to confront anything out there? You should’ve got behind the wheel and got the heck out of there
You should put a floodlight on side of van turn it on if ppl nearby
Yeh definitely! Need something to deter would be thieves
Sorry to see you had a break in. I just saw the intro, so I don’t know how you handled it. I’ll hang in there to see the ending.

I’ve put security lights up around my van for when I’m remote parking. They’re attached by magnetic strips, so they’re easy to take on and off. They’re also solar charged. I figure they should act as a reasonable deterrent if anyone comes up to the van at night. Just something to consider perhaps.

Hi Brendan, just discovered your channel, and reading about you're scary moment in Jaywick, hope you're OK, and not been put off by this awful experience..

I am from Michigan USA. I immensely enjoy your videos of my ancestral England. So glad things turned out ok. Was wondering if England has safe overnight parking areas, like our Cracker Barrel restaurants, here in the states, where you can spend the night for free.
Thanks for watching from across the pond 🙂👍 and sadly the UK is probably one of the least friendly places for free campervan park ups. There are none that I'm aware of and if you do manage to find a nice scenic spot to park there's usually signs saying no overnight camping etc.. it's a sad state of affairs unfortunately as camp sites are charging upwards of £70 a night in some cases. Technically what in doing is a civil matter and not legal so a few of us "get away with it" but my god does the US sound like a much more friendly place for decent park ups 👍. Safe travels
Hi Brendan love your channel and adventures so much. So sorry you went through this awful exsperience. Stay away from any deprived areas, not easy I know. Always go in your instincts. Glad you’re safe and was able to get home. Bet your wife was concerned when you returned home with what happened to you. Did not get a good feeling just looking at Jay-wick.😮
😂😂😂 thank God.....no one was manning security on the door. Casually walks into a giant church. 😂😂😂
Hi Brendan, So sorry that happened to you, but really glad that you didn't get hurt and you got home safely, albeit cold but safe. 🙏 It's so very sad & scary that there are people out there like that. On a positive note, your meal did look delicious. Sending lots of love to you and your family. Take really good care & please give Mika a cuddle for me. Kathy x ❤
Thanks Kathy, yes it wasn't a very nice experience but the rest of the trip was good. That curry was delicious! Take care and I appreciate your well wishes
Evening is when you should drive around and look for a spot that will show you any suspicious activity in the area
What an absolutely dreadful expedience, Brendan, so relieved to hear you weren’t hurt. Please be very careful for the sake of you, and your family.
Thanks mate 👍 yeh I'm looking into some CCTV for the van
Oh that'll be interesting, I've thought about that.@@BrendanExplores
@@BrendanExploresI sorry for you mate, I knew they would pop the window, as he tried the door, if you had been aware of the next move, you could of knocked on the window to chase them.
I will give you a little tip as soon as someone tries your door, make your presence known this will increase the chances of them breaking a window because most of time that will be enough to scare them off, unless you get a weirdo, then probably best to jump in the driver seat as quick u can if u can and drive off
Glad you are OK mate and this incident hasn't put you off. At least you didn't have your family with you. Take care in the future Brendan.
Absolutely mate, would of been a different story if they were with me.. definitely won't put me off though 👍
You're a brave man going outside after that window smash!
I could hear Steve outside his van so felt a little safer in numbers 👍 I probably would of got in the driver's seat and drove off if I was alone to be fair
Wasn’t sure what to expect if I’m honest as there are too many ‘click bait’ titles popping up these days. Fair play to you though, in true B.E style a brilliantly honest video! What a ride! Don’t let it deter you, stay safe! 👏👏
Thanks buddy 👍. Not the video I was hoping to post and I hope it doesn't put people off as it's extremely rare for something like this to happen
@@BrendanExplores I think it highlights the importance of picking the right overnight place and the perils of the wrong one 👏
Sorry that happened to you. I see this kind of thing happening in the UK a lot but almost nowhere else. You shouldn’t get outside the vehicle, especially when danger is present. Put the “unbreakable glass” film on ALL your windows so that can never happen again
Thank you 🙏 and yes that window film seems like a good investment for sure 👍. I'll be picking my parking places a little differently next time
Sorry to see this Brendan me the wife love the channel 😢 getting a new van will make you happy mate
Thanks buddy and yes hopefully not long before another conversion 👍
I was stealth camping in St Leonard's on sea last Friday night, and I had two lads throw a massive rock at me, luckily I heard the pebbles crunches and sat up in time just to receive said stone smashing into my ribs
That is so scary Brendan
Just glad to see you are ok mate and back out again camping
Yeh not a great experience mate but it won't stop me 👍
There's an ex copper does a channel call "life is to short". Lots of van travelling videos. He did a video on this kind of thing and he recommended make noise as soon as possible, just a cough or a "who's there". Most people clear off if they know someone is in the van. Nice vid. But Jaywick? Happy camping, Dave
I’m so sorry Brendan 😥What absolute scumbags. It must have been terrifying. The main thing is that you’re alright, physically. Things can be replaced but there’s only one of you. Take care lovely ♥️🙏 I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. All the best X
Thank you for those kinds words ❤️ yes it wasn't a pleasant experience.. but your right, a window can be replaced
They fiddled around to make sure it was empty lol its not your fault but defend yourself earlier than that bro!
I'm gutted that's happened to you, I always watch your blogs. Enjoy your camping vids, glad your ok, and fair play to you for keeping going mate. Don't let idiots put you off what you love to do in life, look forward to seeing your next vid, cheers. Mike.
Thanks for your kind words mate 👍 I appreciate that. Definitely won't stop me camping!
Glad your safe. I bloody jumped, almost fell out of my recliner when I heard the window get smashed
