- I'm back out camping in the van! After a horrible experience in my last camp, I needed to get back out! I found a nice woodland park up on a winter night and it was nice and cosy in my mini van. I cook up up some delicious food to finish off the camp as well #vanlife #camping #stealthcamping #campervan #camper #winter

I'm back out camping! 😁 I had to get back on the horse after my last video and remind myself that I love making these videos and finding sweet camp spots. I've been on some incredible journeys and I won't let one bad experience ruin the many great camps I've done 👍. Thank you all for your comments on my last video, really helped me put things into perspective 🙏

Get yourself a taser and other protection
You can get burger cheese in those plastic squidgy tubes, Primula and Hellman's do one. You can keep it in a shelf but upon use put into refrigerator. Plastic cheese lasts years in a fridge too. Morison's do a burger source, it's nice in wraps.
Having a £1500 fridge on the front seat won’t help things I wouldn’t have thought.

Good man getting back out and about in, your van, after the break in, I have a renault trafic campervan and I have a full mirror dash cam with reversing camera, split screen and I have it mounted just inside the cab curtains and it's on all night when I am camping, so I can see every thing in front and behind the van if I hear anything. And it's recording, this will take the guess work out of not knowing who or what's out there. Hope this helps you and your followers .

@@BrendanExplores I have it hardwire in and it doesn't drain the battery, but you can get a cigarette lighter adaptor as well, some of the dash cameras {full mirror with reversing camera come with cigarette lighter adaptor} run the wire for reversing camera to your back door and place the camera behind the curtain on a bracket, so when you close your curtains the camera can see out, I have tinted glass and it still works good even in night vision. And make a small bracket for the front and fix it to the plastic trim between the cab curtains and fix the forward facing mirror camera to that. With just the camera facing out. It works brilliantly, and when I pack up and move on I just move the mirror das camera back on to my mirror on the windscreen, and off I go,. Hope this helps you out.

Glad you got 'back on the horse', Brendan! Wincham (sp) sure seems like a friendly little town! Bourton on the Water was lovely! I could spend time there quite happily sitting by the river. Nice little spot to spend the night. Safety in numbers!

I keep a nice piece of 2x2 in my van for people who try door handles in the night. Oh, and the river is the Windrush. Bleeding freezing even in summer.

Brendan you need some external lights around you're van and some external cameras so when you park up somewhere dark and you ear anything outside your van you can switch the lights on and record what ever it is by lighting the area up it also may make you feel a bit safer about camping pal

Where vehicle and home security is concerned, always think like a thief (Look through your own windows. If anything looks like pinching, remove it out of sight. Also, like your fridge, to a desperate drug addict who isn't educated into what a van fridge looks like, they may well think it's a massive great tool box containing £Thousands of tools)!
Yeh that's exactly what I think they thought when looking into the cab on the last video 👍. I'll be making some changes to where I put things in the future

I very rarely pay for an overnight spot mate 👍. I use an app called park for night for most of my park ups 🙂

Be better off making it obvious someone is inside, a thief looking to break in will give you a miss, they don't want hassle, anyone wanting to get to you would be extremely rare 99.9% just looking to rob the van...
It definitely has it's pros and cons being stealthy that's for sure. I've got to think better about how I present the van in certain scenarios though 👍
