Think long about puttthe family on your channel for a few reasons. It might put a strain on your relationship. Your also would have to simp alot. You would loose subs who watch you because your not a simp
Is quite a few places you could camp in your car overnight one of them is in Llangollen go over the bridge to the top of the road there's a road on your rights 50 yards after you turn follow that road damn there's another Road off to your right again which takes you right to the top where the Repeater masks are the big aerials they can be seen from the Bridge slightly to the left I paraglide up there nobody is going to bother you and I will have quite a few all the places on the top of that hill you can see all of Llangollen looking across the main road opposite you can see the old abbey and I can think of at least another 10 places on the way to Snowdon the lakes are on your left just before you get to the hill that takes you up to Snowdon Park the bottom nobody's going to bother you you want any more suggestions and plenty more

Oh wow.....this video had me in stitches. You literally traced my steps when I went to Wales last week. I stopped at that car park at the start of the video. I have a photo to prove it. I have been past it 100s of times but for the first time ever, I decided to stop and have a drink of tea from my flask. Then that car park in Harlech was the exact spot where I parked. Just to the right of that car in the shade. I didn't walk to the beach, though (been before). Instead I climbed over that gate near the no overnight camping sign and walked on the golf course (took a photo). The laughable thing is I ALSO had a food dilemma. I ended up going in the Premier off license and talking to a woman in there and asked about a fish and chip shop. She said there was one in Harlech and it was open (Saturday night about 7.30pm). I didn't bother and got a beef salad roll from that Premier for £2.50 and ate it at that car park where you were. Hilarious. Couldn't you have gone and bought a cheap frying pan (Tesco at Porthmadog?) or asked that woman in the Premier to lend you one? Before I got that Beef salad roll, I even went through Barmouth to check out that chippy you went to. Been before and it is a bit of a tourist trap rip off. but when you need food you pay through the nose. I never bothered as they were queuing outside the door. It's like watching myself in the video. Unbelievable coincidences.
Ahhh wow, seems like Harlech has given is similar experiences 🤣. I always need some hot food when out on a camp so I was glad to find that chippy to be fair 👍. Glad your enjoying the videos 🙂
The vid was far from a fail, the twists and turns just made it more entertaining. The beach looked like a beautiful quiet spot, and your drone shots were awesome. And to top it all off, we got some raw, from the heart stuff. Great job my friend, this one had it all.

Great video Brendan. My wife and I went to Harlech in our campervan back in 2015 and we had the same issues as you. Not only was everywhere shut but it was cash only and didn't take card lol. Also it was completely devoid of people and it was a Saturday evening. We stayed one night and left the next day for Pembrokeshire which was far nicer anyway. Really enjoying your videos/channel and keep up the good work👍

Traditionally across the UK, shops like fish mongers and butchers usually close on a Monday, sadly these types of businesses are slowly closing down. Big supermarkets are
killing off small local food producers and suppliers, ace video as always. Love your enthusiasm. I would have stayed the night, you were in your car, technically, not camping.
These signs are designed to ward off anti social idiots and the odd bampot (Scottish word for idiot) your a socially responsible English man. not a yob :)

Being in a car camper I definitely push the "No Overnight Parking" signs, especially out of season or not on a weekend...being stealthy means it's easier to get away with. I don't encourage it on my channel, but I generally don't stress about it

You seem to keep visiting places i havent been in ages like Harlech, Lake Vyrnwy. When you couldnt find food in Harlech i was literally screaming at tablet "go to Barmouth, grab a cheap pan or chips".

Hi Brendan, really enjoy your channel as new subscribers. We have done a lot of touring and over night camping in our campervan up and down the country and very rarely pay for park ups because we use a pub car park, most landlords will let you stay in carpark over night for the price of a pub meal and few beers.

My God, the UK is absolutely mesmerizing. The land is absolutely gorgeous. 😮
The issue is mate with parking overnight in many places is others have ruined it for others. Leaving rubbish and mess, damaging grass verges blocking seafront car parks with camper vans ( peak season that was a massive issue where I live ). It’s sad but this is what’s spoilt it for everyone else.
That's a fair point mate yes there are people out there who are sadly spoiling it. I do feel the vast majority of vanlifers are respectful and in some cases clean up after others as well. You tend to find, it's mostlt boy racers on a Saturday night throwing their kfc rubbish out the window
Arddol is the shop in Llangynog. Though I’ve never seen it sunny there! Used to open in the summer time but that was years ago!

Great content as usual. I think instead of looking for food, I would've found the nearest supermarket and bought a cheap frying pan if at all possible. VThe premier might have had one.🤔

@@BrendanExplores I have my small monkey (smallest) but I also keep a spare larger pan and a saucepan in the car as well. Might be worth just finding an old one from home that's not really used and stash it in car somewhere. 👍

Mermaids chippy! My favourite 😋 I’ve travelled from near Wolves for those chips, many a times. I’m hoping to travel in my grand scenic at some point, probably next year now. So have been watching for tips. I’ve got that park4night app to hopefully help with the issue of no parking signs etc. As I’m not sure my anxiety or my anxious yappy dog would cope with anyone knocking on the car at 1am! 😣😵

Smashing vids, it's getting very difficult to find reasonable parking , just back from Cornwall same their easy money for greedy councils, mind you as a cyclist stealth wild camper still get to all the cracking spots and no parking fees just park in a normal village and pedal to the lush spots. Sundays in Canada are usually our closed days, but some businesses close on Mondays too. That's why I usually check store hours before I head off.

Top vid my man 🙏 The thing i find with those types of no camping signs is that they are aimed at specifically at vans and motorhomes etc - they don’t apply to car camping 🙏

I used to live there for years after moving from Cardiff. In winter there’s nothing open. Porthmadog is your best bet all year.
I lived in criccieth on marine terrace it’s a lovely place but dead in the winter. Let’s just say I moved back to Cardiff as soon as I could 😂

Visit Walcott beach, Norfolk♡ We have lots of campers and shops, fishnchips...etc
Other beaches in the area have more. We are a friendly lot and very quite (not during summer holidays)

What an absolute disaster trip but what an absolute amazing video, loved that every minute of it. Really turning into one of my favourite outdoor / travel RUclips creator. Every nightmare you experienced made for a goof segment of the video / storyline I suppose. Excellent drone shots and excellent commentary throughout, spot on. The harsh truth of camping in these local villages / ghost towns though isn’t it .. no scran anywhere!

I love the stunning landscape and friendly people in Wales, BUT the opening hours and restrictions are an absolute chuffin nightmare. It’s like going back (30 years) in time in some parts. That may sound quaint, but more often it’s not.

That's very true but what scared me off was the main parking sign threatening fixed penalty notices etc... I might just have to be more brave next time and risk it for a biscuit 😜🍪

There’s a free carpark right underneath Harlech castle the only downfall it’s by a level crossing but I didn’t mind that, also clean toilets and shops within walking distance…and you also want to take a trip down Carmarthen and head to pendine sands theres 2 car parks on sea front the first one is free and you should be room in there after 6pm the second carpark is £15per night….its £5 a day to park on the beech till 5.30 and a bit of a bonus there’s also a pub on the front with great locals that is dedicated to the land speed record…and they have a hotrod weekend there which is coming up on the 22nd June….might catch you there

Oh dear lol what a wolly, Saying that I forgot my drone when I was going droning lol How do people survive in that little village with everything closed very strange, At least you got your fish and chips pal. Drone shots were stunning as the norm.

You lucky man. Shrewsbury is one of my favourite towns in the UK on a par with York. You can legally sleep in your car in a layby (although the one by the dam looks like it belongs to Welsh Water) and if there is a sign saying you can't it has to list the bylaw that says you can't, otherwise they are just trying it on. Google Maps will show you where you are.
Should have gone to a supermarket or hardware store and bought a cheap frying pan, probably about the same price as fish and chips. There's a Tesco Superstore at Portmadoc, just up the road from Harlech. Converseley always leave the RM in the van.
Yeh Shrewsbury is a brilliant town 🙂👍 I'll have to make my way to York at some point. Yeh I think these signs should largely be ignored until you get asked to move on... Hopefully that won't happen too often though 🤞

if your ever down that way again theres a memorial building and grave yard just before the big bend on the left heading towards harlech
The reservoir is Llyn Celyn pronounced klin kellin. just outside Bala and before Trawsfynydd

Just realised I stayed not to far from here near Llanbedr. Thought I recognised it, I drove through it everyday for a week lol. (And yes I am re-watching a few older vids cause I'm bored lol).
