as a Canadian who has been eyeing the Stoneground Paints (and resisting, because I have SO MANY PAINTS), I am so pleased to see your review! I may looking into buying one or two that are interesting and perhaps missing from my collection. Pipestone is one that I have looked at from other paint makers for awhile and it is such a gorgeous, natural mineral colour. Thank you again, Lily!

I have all these colors, but from Daniel Smith (I have almost their entire line of watercolors🤦🏻♀️) and they are some of my favorite colors. I love the Mayan colors and all the genuine/Earth pigments. Most of my favorites don't have pigment numbers 🤷🏻♀️ I don't sell my work, so pigment numbers isn't as big of a deal to me. I usually just paint and have my husband scan it and send it to me from work. He has an extremely expensive professional scanner at work. He works for a private company that makes and fixes commercial and military (DOD) airplane parts. Having accurate drawing and instructions is kind of important 😂 Since you started making videos, I've realized we have the same taste in colors.. and some of the same health problems, sadly. Anyway, I haven't gotten your notifications in about 4 months or so and thought you stopped making videos! Now I have a ton to catch up on. Perfect thing to do (I'll also be painting since my husband is home today 👏🏻) on a cloudy Sunday here in CT, USA. I've wanted to try stoneground, but haven't bit the bullet, so to speak. Thank you for sharing them with us!
P.S. all the Schminke Supergranulating Watercolors have a few of the same main granulating colors (Potters Pink - PR233, Mohogany Brown - Pbr33 I think is the pigment number, Cobalt Green - PG19, etc...), mixed with other pigments. They are pretty easy to make. There are maybe 4 that I'd actually purchase that are harder to make.
I really love your art style!😍😍 As for your question regarding the Shire colors ... I've got Shire yellow, green and grey - and they all contain PY159. This is the pigment used in their Vulcano yellow. Vulcano orange has PY159 and PR108, while the other three colors in the Vulcano set (red, violet and brown) don't have PY159. If you get a chance to get Galaxy black, I highly reccomand it. It's one of the most gorgeously granulating colors (it's actually dark blue).

Absolutely beautiful paints; I was so impressed with the Stoneground Paints. And I really liked the Shire granulating paints as well, though there was not as much color differentiation in the Shire colors between the saturated and lighter shades. But I could imagine painting grasses or trees just using the Shire green or Shire olive, the way they separate into different colors would give such depth. But I loved the way the Stoneground colors looked like different colors all together depending on the saturation. I also really liked the way you drew and painted the framework for your swatches. It would be great if you would demonstrate how you create the frames for your swatches in a video.
