Revenge is a hell of a motivator. What was important was that Bayek, Aya and all of the other protagonists (even Shay, I argue) saw past themselves and saw that others needed help.

Oh yeah! Gives me chills every time. It end up being not only one of the best AC games for me but one of the most favourite games in general. The amount of freedom and rather well balance between stealth and action was way better than in following titles. And the storyline, oh my god! Why more AAA games can't do such mature themes and nuanced characters?
It's honestly insane how steep of a drop in quality Oddesy is to Origins. They literally had their next Ezio. A grieving father, with a complex relationship with his ex wife who's also a greiving parent. Felt like there's SO MUCH you still can do with their characters. And also, let's just applaud the Ubisoft devs for making ACTUAL representation. Not putting pronouns next to a character's name, or making em fat and black and secretly a trans gay bisexual that never loses and is the bestest of the best. But actually respected and showed what Egypt was like. The rich and diverse culture they have. That it's a jewel in the sands, a melting pot of cultures, both African and European and even a bit of Asia in there.

Later in game you'll discover that Bayek went across the desert to kill Rudjek in one of pyramids, and then he went back to Siwa, across the same desert, where he fought with his bodyguard.
