I realize I am watching this 3 years from when you did this but I still would like to thank you for doing this tutorial, your dragonfly is beautiful and is going to look so nice outside my window.
Love the dragon fly, great tutorial, I have elevated garden boxes and as a senior I love them. I grow carrots beets tomatoes peppers cucumbers lettuce radish , lots of flowers
I've been looking for something to show a dragonfly suncatcher on a jig and finally came up on your video it's beautiful and informative thank you for the great video tutorial and I will be watching more from you!!!!
Hi Jesse! I just love dragonflies! Thank you for sharing your talent. I’ll b following you on Facebook too! Gardening is a passion of mine too (no vegetables, just flowers and pruning plants and trees). Can’t wait to try this beauty! I’ve been making beads for awhile, not knowing what I was going to do with them! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
So sorry, I meant to tell you how beautiful your work is, which captured my attention and I enjoy listening to you explain everything! Thank you for sharing 💖
I very recently witnessed the dragonfly migration and posted a video on my channel. And when I saw your dragonflies, I had to try to make one. It came out beautifully. And yes I also have videos of my garden. Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰
This is my first time finding one of your tutorials Shelley... and it was WONDERFUL! I love this project... I have some Jesse James Beads that I picked up the Walmart near us. I am definitely going to make this lovely dragonfly. Thank you for sharing your talent with others. 😊
I've just finished my first dragonfly using your video. He is really cute. Sadly my wire was all the wrong sizes but he is still ok for a first attempt. Thank you for sharing!
Your tutorials are wonderful. Thank you for all you put into this to make it easy to follow. It would be helpful if you could list the size of the beads you're using in the description as the JJ kit (which is beautiful!) is not currently available.
Howdy from Texas! Totally beautiful dragon fly!! Can you please tell me where you buy your materials? I'm very new to this, but I'd love to learn how to make this!! SO beautiful and thank you kindly on this tutorial and sharing your magnificent work!! TIA and God Bless 😊
Hi Shelley, what length of aluminium wire did you start with please? I look forward to having a go at making one of your lovely dragonflies. Thanks for showing us how 🙂
Shelly, it's pretty rare for me to see another woman with her nails and hands rough as mine. Right down to my cuticles to boot. I think copper wire is harder on one's hands .(to get skin clean) I dig your video. Thanks
I loved your Dragonfly video. I’m brand new to wire wrapping and beading with crystals but found you so inspiring that I thought I’d give it a try. I’m also an avid gardener …….so kindred spirit. I was wondering how I could incorporate this dragonfly in my garden. Do you think there’s a way I could attach it to a stainless rod like a garden marker? Would love to have a sparkly dragonfly hovering over a flower pot.
I'm loving the dragonfly design. Does your bead mix have at least 4 of everything? I have *so* many beads that it' not an issue for me, but others might wonder. Another question: Would it have been easier to wrap as you went instead of taking it off the jig and wrapping? IMO, it would have kept everything lined up as you wrapped, and you might not have had to fiddle wtih it so much after.
The bead mix used in the tutorial have four of just about all the beads used! There are two mixes being used together. For the wire wrapping that is a good question! You could wrap as you go if that is the method that is more comfortable.
The jig is optional! You can bend the wire around anything you’d like to get that rounded shape, it’s very pliable and easy to work with the hands, hope this helps :)
I’m just starting my journey into suncathers and can’t find where you get supplies? I’ve gotten beans and crystals, but the other parts are what I don’t know about or how to get them? Do you sell these or recommend a location to get supplies for dream catchers?
Hi there! This tutorial is from 2 years ago and the exact beads Shelley used are not avaliable anymore. However this technique can be used with most other beads. The main suncatcher crystal can also be found on Etsy and other craft shops. Just look up "Suncatcher crystal" or "suncatcher bead".
Hi Denise, it depends on how big you want your dragonfly! If you're just starting out you can start with about 10 inches of wire and if needed it can always be trimmed at the end.

😢thats what I'd like to know
Do you know what gauge/millimeter of the aluminum wire she uses? It looks thicker than the 26 gauge she uses for the wrapping
@@lorismith619 She said the aluminum was 16 gauge. But I can't see where she says the length to cut it.
I used about 40 inches of the 16 gauge aluminum wire.
Beautiful
Thank you

It's a secret. 😉
I used about 40 inches of the 16 gauge aluminum wire.
Mag eyes? Sounds like something I need. Can we see them? Please
It is beautiful but I don't want to invest in a jig , how would you suggest to bend the wings ? Thank you

May I ask how much you sell them for? Gorgeous
They are beautiful!
Dragonflies are special to me because of my dad who passed in 1997. This is beautiful! I’m gonna try to make this. Thanks for the tutorial!

How did you get your items in the store
What gauge wire do you use for the body of the dragon fly?
