Thank you Guru for sharing this and other knowledge from your family system. Very, very impressed with everything I have seen,and more than that, I have been inspired by your attitude. There is too much negativity and ego in the martial arts community,particularly on social media. I agree with your point,if you don’t like how someone does a technique, say “thank you “ and move on,no need to attack them from the safety of your keyboard. Thank you and keep sharing.

Maraming salamat po Gat Puno Abon for sharing and demonstrating your insights :) Footwork/body angles are so important! I remember hearing someone, maybe Guro Inosanto, saying that you can't touch GM Ben Largusa (successor of GM Floro Villabrille) because of his footwork.

I saw a short clip of Maestro Doy Baldemore somewhere (can’t find it) demonstrating his foot work. I don’t really know if he is the only remaining Maestro in Paete nowadays. I wish the next generation takes advantage of learning from him of one of our Cultural Heritage. People in Laguna are fortunate to have many maestros willing to pass on their knowledge to those who are eager to learn Arnis. In some area in the Philippines they keep it within the family only and that knowledge die with them and never pass on to the next generation… sad. Anyways, maraming salamat Gat Puno for sharing your knowledge...Pugay po!

Maestro Doy Baldemor is NOT the only remaining Maestro of Paete. We still have a lot of Maestro there, my Uncle, my Brother, Maestro Ohing Alberto, Nemesio Baldemor, Resty Baldemor just to mention a few. But yes, he is good, he is a student of my Father too. @@ayang711 Hopefully after this pandemic I can visit your hometown of Paete. I was supposed to visit my cousin who lives in Santa Rosa last year but because of the pandemic our flight was cancelled (2X). Another cousin also lives in Lumban (her husband is from there). Just wondering...ano kayang secreto ng mga lalake sa Laguna besides being good looking ;-)
