😂😂😂 if that’s true, it’s hilarious. Speaking of Charles Dance, it’s crazy how many movies I go back and rewatch that have him in it but I didn’t know him as an actor at the time. Like the third movie in the Aliens franchise, playing the doctor in the remote prisoner camp on an otherwise barren planet.
Can we all agree that Tyrion reloaded that crossbow like a pro. No hurried, jerky motions, he reloaded that like a pro baseball player readying his swing.
Just a shame they didn't do the crossbow itself justice. The power a crossbow contains, even that first bolt would have blown right through his father and embedded itself into the wall behind. Especially from basically point-blank range like that.
Interesting to watch the reactions of people who didn’t know what was coming, even though Tywin’s fate was set years before the episode aired. I loved watching it, Peter Dinklage and Charles Dance absolutely killed the scene.
@@princelevi3733 I think he had affection for Jaime the most because he represents the Lannister ideals of a tall blond super-warrior-knight. But also because he was closer to how his wife was. Cersei and Tyrion are closer to Tywin. We could say that means he hated himself.
I feel like he had love for Jaime, but not the love a father should have for his son, but the kind of prideful love you’d have for an object like a medal, or a diploma.
Tywin was only ever focused on their legacy, and never on his actual children. Every relative he had was a terrible person, he realized that when cersei told him about her and jamie's relationship eariler in the episode. In that moment he realized that tyiron was the only good son he ever had and before he could seize that opportunity he had a crossbow pointed at him. Saying "You are no son of mine" after getting shot was a white lie, tywin was trying to hide the fact that he had died mentally only hours earlier, and is now going to die physically by his only hope the entire time. Thats my interpretation of tywin and his death anyways
I like the fact Tyrion’s last words to Tywin was a form of declaration of the fact he was a human being - not an imp, not a dwarf, but a person. The last time that was affirmed was with Oberyn’s talk with Tyrion before Oberyn announces he will be the champion for Tyrion in the Trial by Combat.
I not only like Rains of Castamere but most especially this version in this season finale. To me the song feels like a requiem of the House of Lannister with all the inner conflict that goes on within the family, and this version certainly feels like that after Tyrion kills Tywin.
The only thing i miss in this scene ia that in the books Tyrion states that in the end twin did not poop gold (a popular saying becaause how rich the Lannisters are)
Still think it was a shame they cut out Jamie’s confession that Tyrion’s wife wasn’t a con. That she was exactly what she appeared to be. An innocent young girl fleeing would be rapists. That was why Tyrion went after Tywin. And why Tywin repeatedly referring to whores enraged him.
I know that's how he died in the book but Charles Dance made the character so awesome and iconic that I think that th show disrespected him by killing him this way!!!!!!

Fun fact, Charles Dance found out about his characters fate when someone on the street shouted at him "You die on the toilet!"

Need to have the arm strength to pull the trigger back for the crossbow.
When Tywin died, that was the beginning of the end for the Lannister house.
Good riddance fr

A Lannister always settles their debts. All those years of torment, and Tyrion finally settled all accounts with Tywin.
Interesting to watch the reactions of people who didn’t know what was coming, even though Tywin’s fate was set years before the episode aired. I loved watching it, Peter Dinklage and Charles Dance absolutely killed the scene.
Tyrion has the Lannister ruthlessness when he needs it…
Tywin never actually had any love for his children
I don’t blame Tyrion
Tywin loves jamie, he loves cersei in his own weird way and for tyrion he was definitely a disappointment!

Season 4 will always be my favorite. So many moments, so many key kills, so much emotion.
"Rains of Castamere". A man of culture...
Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold.

I love that about every time they use the song. Each version has a purpose and meaning. Great detail.
Tywin, that self-righteous tyrant. Died on his throne.👍🤣🤣❤️
“Ohhh shit!”
Literally 😂
1:03 lol I've watched their entire series of reactions for this show, but had to laugh when he felt the need to point out the song name in the moment.
They're one of my favorites to watch react to GoT
I LOVED that Tywin died on the toilet aka "the throne" LOL ...he deserved that and it was right that it was Tyrion. He made his life miserable.
And that's why I nicknamed him Tywin "Shot While On The Pot" Lannister.
Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold.
I really liked that subtle and perhaps not so subtle touch of the Rains of Castamere instrumental in the background.

"What are you gonna do, shoot me?" -Tywin moments before Tyrion shot him, probably.
"Say what again" moment
"What?"
(Twang!)
"And you will know that my name is Tyrion, the Imp when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"
