- A quick video review that talks about whether I am still happy with my Triumph Bonneville T120 after 3K miles, and two seasons, as well as how the bike generally performed over that time.
Bought a 2003 Triumph T100 new and thought I'd keep it forever. Then, I acquired a new T120, the first delivered in the state. It's startling how much more powerful, comfortable, capable and refined it is. I never rode my T100 again, and sold it within a short time.
Thanks for the comment! I just rode it today on the freeway and having that comfort zone of going 75-80mph at 3500 rpm just such a difference with the 6th gear. Thanks for sharing, ride safe!
I am very happy with my 2020 T120 Diamond Edition. Love riding it. I also have over 3K on it. Things I’ve changed or added are a small windscreen, a 1 inch handle bar riser, and bar end mirrors.
The Diamond Edition looks elegant!
Hope you still got your T120. I had just picked up mine, switching from BMW S1000RR, which I’ve rode for the past 8 years or so. Loving the comfort and seating style of the T120. I feel like the sport bike phase has passed me and am ready to settle for enjoyable everyday ride where I can just chill and be classy, and I believe the T120 is just that.
Yeah, I still do! Congrats! It has it's own rhythm of riding and comfort, overall great bike. Safe riding.......
I pick mine up next week. Can’t wait!
Congratulations, if you find the low end too choppy I've found turning off TCS has helped a lot. With a cat delete the quirk is supposedly non existent.
Nice! Which one did you get?
I have a T120 and I regard it as the best bike I've ever owned.
Me too
Thanks for your comment. It's a really fun one.
I agree, have a 2018 120 that now has over 14,000 miles on it. love it.
Test the Speed Twin? Planning on riding back to back later this week. I realize they are very different and I'm trying to determine which type of rider I actually am ;-)
Thanks for commenting. Yes! I did ride the ST. That one to me had more of a naked bike feel like an r1200r, more aggressive and def quick. If u like the naked/more sporty feel, ST is there. I liked the more relaxed character if the t120 and its universal appeal to where ever I take it.
Just clocked 97,000Km. on my 2017 T100. It's like owning a part of a better time. I wonder if going to T120 would improve my riding experience.
Wow! I'm wondering how that bike did and what kind of service it needed along the way! Incredible. The 6th gear and that low RPM at higher speed would improve experience at 65mph plus, but I mean, looks like it was good for 97K, so relevant I guess.
39 tooth rear sprocket, Decat, and remap is a big improvement. It basically reverses all the emissions control related shackles placed on the T120.
Hmm, that's interesting, I'm going to google that and see what I can find out about it. I think it has more power in it for sure.
Picking one up this coming summer!!!
Nice!
trying to decide between this and a speedmaster , ithink this wins for all round
Both good choices, I test rode both, and this one just felt more natural to me, as well as I liked the position of the foot controls a little better, vs, Speedmaster. I used to own an older Speedmaster, and it depreciated quickly and drastically, so there was that as well.
Which did you go with? I’ve been trying to decide between the goldline silver tank Speedy, yet leaning toward the T120 I’ve been drooling about for nearly 8 years when I heard a step up from the T100 was coming. I used to have a 2003 Speedmaster and it did depreciate quickly and it was too long/stretched out for me. The new version though is amazing and that seat I could sit on for days riding, but I normally just do city riding, day trips, wknd stuff, so either would do, yet I’m pretty sure I’m going the T120 route.
We never saw the bike!
My bike, just go to this youtube video. ruclips.net/video/uQrMGwVb0Q0/видео.html
The rear brake pedal is to low.
No real adjustment can be made.
Yes, much agree
@@bike_addict I ended up taking the assembly out n adjusting it to the safest max.
Better, just not 100%
