Fallout doesn't take place on Earth but a world separated but just slightly in reach of the Imperium. The Children of Atom are Pskers and Dunwich are ruminants of the Emperor's influence.
Lou, the smarter of Master's followers, was a cyborg, but it's hard to imagine East Coast Super Mutants using prosthetics. Unless... The Institute used them as guinea pigs for the technology seen in Kellogg?
@Bruno Kopte I always thought it would be interesting if the Institute brought creatures that weren't originally from the commonwealth, like deathclaws or super mutants, and put them into the environment as an experiment. Mutants with mechanical prosthetics would be really interesting.
@@Figuristic Perhaps older, veteran Super Mutant leaders from before their cyborg experiments were terminated by Father. @@brunokopte1347 I'm pretty sure the Institue is what introduced Super Mutants to the commonwealth when they were studying the effects of FEV, so I could definitely see them having cybernetic prosthetics from the institute. Damn. I love the fact that they actually incorporated 40k elements while making it actually Lore Friendly. They didn't just slap 40K into Fallout, this seems like a legit concept for Fallout's more zealous factions. The bolt rifle having an industrial paint scheme tells me that the weapon(s) were clearly industrial tools turned into makeshift weapons which I also love. Makes me hope someone overhauls the base game railway rifle and makes it closer to what the Zelots use. Imagine the Brotherhood of Steel seeing this and adapting to it as a new war front appears. The nifbashing he does for this, the Zetans and Fleshsmith is great. And as you said, the 40K touch fits well here, as well as being less blatant than in the Faction Reinforcements mod.
I really like the theory that the Children of Atoms god is the Egyptian god Atum I would like to reflect this by giving their armor and weapons an Egyptian aesthetic
sweet, I like the Children of Atom. got the add on for Sim Settlements Conqueror that is related to them on my Xbox. will add this if it gets ported for Xbox.
Y’know making the new weapons based on industrial tool and giving them industrial paint options make them great for a character themed around that. Put in either the Excavator power armor or Settler Vigilante power armor and you’ll have a complete look. Use one of the couple of nail gun SMG mods for a faster handling option, and the auto axe for melee. Hmm 🤔
Oh man! I was looking at this yesterday and was like oh cool those are Space Marine bolters! And more content to a faction is always a great thing. Not sure why I didnt download it yet... I am going to now! Thanks as always!
I thought the zealots where actually feral ghouls welded into power armor at first. Definitely Warhammer like and honestly would have been a good answer to what they do to there ghoulish brothers and sisters.
It's my headcanon that Fog Haunters kinda the absolute apex of what the very foundation of ghoulification can do. A super ghoul born only in rare instances within Atom's holy land (The Island) perhaps even only because of the slight supernatural touch that covers the place. This is the absolute pinnacle of the process and thus you get something that was not born of FEV, Robotic tech, Mutated wildlife, etc. Every enemy faction needs it's epic unit and this ghoul-hulk is it.
Wow thats impressiv, i Download it and will test it until im ready, im starting completly new and play it for now over 1500 hours...i love that game 😍 thank you for the Video bro 💪🏼💪🏼
Some are, but not all of them. In Far Harbor they go farther into it, I believe they do at Atom’s Crater as well, mentioning “scrubbing” (iirc) as a religious practice where non-resistant CoA remove their rads - I believe the thought behind it is that they’re cleansing themselves specifically so they can irradiate themselves again to further worship Atom
Most are, but a couple in the Nucleus are not. It is likely that there are a number of Children of Atom that are still a part of the cult, but lack "Atom's Blessing" as this inherent resistance to radiation is called among their ranks.
They were mixed in Fallout 3. If you ever met "mother Curie III" leader of the Apostles of the Eternal Light, a splinter faction of the Children of Atom, after the Megaton Bomb is detonated, she will turn Feral while her follower is a still conscious ghoul.
The high-ranking ones in the Nucleus like Richter and Theil seem unaffected, but there are quite a few who've got massive clumps of hair missing (classic radiation poisoning there).
I never really got the CoA, like they're immune to rads seemingly, yet see everyone else getting horrifically sick/mutated, and still try to expose everyone else to it
