Dude!
This was great
I have watched lots of tutrorials on file sharing and none of them mention the Firewall
Windows Sucks - its gives us no idea that we need to disable the Firewall
Also your later tip to make the target computer find the shared folders was great
I had never seen that before either!
Why are you the only guy to show this
Why is Windows Sharing so hard and so hidden away
I have been days on this
It should be ten minutes!
Thanks

This was very easy to follow and helpful. Thank you!
2:28 - The Network ID... button is not available press. The button is disabled!
hi. did you ever figure this out? im having the same issue
I’m having this exact same problem: the Netwk ID button is disabled.
FOUND THIS EXPLANATION ONLINE: It's greyed out because you have Home. In Pro it launches a Wizard for joining a Domain, and of course Home does not support Domain membership.
@@nucket_ i think its a windwos pro feature and not in home
Good video, I would like to know how to see other computers connected to 3 different networks in the same place, at work for some reason there are 3 different networks, some computers are connected to network A, some other computers are connected to network B and some other computers are connected to a wifi network. I tried multiple options to share files and folders between all computers regardless of the network, right now some computers that are hard wired can see each other AND some of the computers connected to the wifi network can see each other but won't see the computers that are hard wired. How to make all computers see each other and share files and folders, all computers are enabled to share.
Hello
Even after doing most of this I still cannot access my files on another computer
Do I need to reboot my router?
I have spent 3 days trying to share a folder to two other computers at my home just for convenience of being in other rooms
It should be a five minute jobs
Its not your fault - but there is just not enough documenttion or help from Windows
Its almost as if they don't want it to work
All the options are hiddene away, and there are no clues - such as "Make sure your Firewall is off" etc
Or reboot to take effect
Make sure you have Windows 10/11 Pro as Home editions no longer support this feature apparently.
I see my other computer on my network, but they show as media players, how do I change that?so they show as computers
Sir
Your explanations are the best really.
Happy to see your perfect examplanations
So nice of you
This fixed the one pesky, persistent problem I had with my LAN. It took me hours to try to fix but I got nowhere. Your video resolved it in 3 minutes and 16 seconds. You are now my network guru. Subscribed.
thanks man!
how to instal IPS/IDS Bro Tnx 🤤
I am having an issue where I can only get things to work if i make the computer sign on local account only. Using my microsoft account seems to remove the password option to sign in and so all the computers that are trying to connect can't because it doesnt have any password to sign in to. I have spent so many hours going back and forth between these two machines and cant seem to find anyone that has mentioned this. I cant be the only person this is happening to. If anyone has any idea what to do in this feel free to offer. I get no help from the windows forum. I swear their experts are so unhelpful and clueless its maddening.
Tnx, but login 03:02 with password?? Where do I find this password? My PC starts without login, so I didn't put in a password. But network asks for a password.
What if you use a local account yet it still asks for username and password?
I still can't even see the other pc on network, F windows!
Didn't work. I have several PC's on my network and two that refuse to connect to each other (but will connect with all other PC's on the network). Odd.
I went through five of these and none of them fixed mine. I did a backup from 2 weeks ago and it fixed it. I then let Windows do an update and I lost it again. I finally figured out under Turn On Windows programs, it was installing ,Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.8. I removed 3.5 and that fixed it. Having both versions took the PC off the network.
