- 5 months later, this is the final result of this major undertaking of a full basement build featuring a high-end 7.2.6 Dolby Atmos Home Theater. The theater is using a Sony 4K Laser projector, Stewart screen, Emotiva electronics, and SVS Ultra speakers and a pair of the monster PB4000 subwoofers. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more of these builds! - Развлечения
Man if his basement Looks this good, I can’t even imagine the rest of the house 😮
I haven't seen it, but I'm sure it's nice!
I look at a lot of expensive homes on line, this is the best I've ever seen it rock's, congratulations.
Fantastic man cave theatre bar
How to make me feel bad about my life: The video.
If this isn't the best basement..🤤🤤🤤🤤
Cool party areas for sure! That basement can entertain on another level! Awesome work, looks nice and clean!
That is a big space! I like it.
For sure!
@@Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy Did you know what you wanted to do for each space?
@@wendellwendellb339 This is not my house, so I can't speak to that, other than it sure looks like they knew, as this is the product of the customers wishes.
I love the whole setup. Very, very beautiful! Enjoy!
Little confusing until you provided info. Client build! Makes sense because there was way more space down there than what we saw in your home basement build? And, who has 10' ceilings in their basement. I've never seen anything like that. Most of us don't even have that in our houses, lol. All that aside, some pretty incredible spaces there. Very nice work!
Congrats 🎊🍾 that looks awesome God bless hey we only live once
very nice basement its amazing !
Wow That is insane
I would put the massage chair in a place where you could watch the movie. Maybe in place of the theatre seats you could replace them all with massage chairs
Absolutely great taste and modest design, although I would have preferred a pressurised cinema room for that rich deep bass to bounce off the walls from and to, one day I would love a similar aesthetic, even the arcade room.
Very nice build! Of course, everyone has their own taste and preferences. Looks very well integrated.
Lo mejor que vi en muchos años de Home theater. Felicitaciones!!!!
The space is reverberant; you need acoustical panels everywhere.
The walls all around the theater are acoustic panels, just trimmed in so they don't look like it. The rest of the space would benefit from some more absorption, yes. Their walls/decor aren't finished yet though.
Looks incredible. However, there are major sacrifices in audio quality.
Very nice 👌🏼 👍🏼👏🏼🏴🇬🇧
Friggin Amazing!
No doubt!
Love ❤️ it
This reminds me of a really nice oversized bunker for long-term use if something awful happens on the surface of the planet
Haha, indeed!
wow
Curious how big the bathroom is. Maybe there's an adjoining bedroom. Which most likely appears to be the case. I didn't see any windows around so there may be some compliance issues with points of egress especially if people are living in that area but again did not see the bedrooms.
Beautiful craftsmanship and I really like the modern aesthetic. I would have closed off the theater and had the pub in the open concept area with one of the new available 98” TVs for casual viewing but that is just me.
Yea, there's pros and cons to each style, open or closed. I see why they went open here. It's an entertaining space to host parties.
OK now I begin to see there's another room in addition to the other room which is odd and both with large screen TVs.
I wonder how often they use this and whether it's filled with people.. For a space like this to make sense it needs lots of windows but it's a basement. Which makes me wonder I bet the upper floors are amazing and why would anybody wanna come to the basement. My guess is there is entertainment in the upper floors.
That’s a man cave
Yet for the whole family, and entertaining for guests. But also yes, ha.
Love ❤the home theater equipment!!
Also Love the Sony projector! What model?
Sony VPL-XW5000ES. It's our #1 best selling model for good reason.
@Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy
Very awesome sir!!
love to see what the calibration looks like for the cinema? No way there is no reverb and other issues. You can even hear the echo as you walk around. Nice setup but only two Atmos speakers :( and rear surrounds in ceiling. A lot of rookie mistakes and hard compromises.
Those are not the rear surrounds. The rear surrounds are SVS Ultra bookshelves behind the sound panels. There are 6 Atmos height speakers, not sure where you got two from. The grills are painted to match the ceiling. It's a 7.2.6 configuration. The reverb goes away in the theater area, as all the wall panels are sound panels.
Needs a turntable with some vinyl
Is this your home? If so, congrats.
No. This is a clients house. My entire house would fit inside this basement with room to spare.
It all looks good, bit coldest but that is a matter of taste. I just do not see the highend audio here!
Cool looking basement but the room is just to big and open. I love SVS but your client should have went with some JBL Cinema speakers, Meyer Sound, or some JTR’s at the very least. Also the back surround placement is horrible. Those 2 PB 16 Ultras will not have enough output for that space , he needs 4 or more 18 inch or 21 inch subs for that huge space .
Lol, you do what you want with your money, and those aren't PB16 Ultras, but yes they have enough output.
Wow, fantastic. I’m guessing the budget on this was in the $1M range…
Hell No !!!
Its amazing what money can do :(
Yes it is. The best part is you can do with it whatever you want!
Absolutely gorgeous build.
The audio for the home theater was a bit cringey though. Incredible projector.
At 6ft, your rear bookshelfs run out of steam at 102db. This falls short of the 105db peaks needed for an atmos reference system. You bookshelfs are certainly further than 6ft from the MLP.
Your side surrounds are not within spec for immersive audio. Immersive audio calls for direct radiating speaker construction, not dipole.
Your atmos in-ceilings could be in-spec since you did not mention what they are. But in my experience, there's only one or two brands who actually make in-ceilings that adhere to atmos spec. One specific speaker that comes to mind are Kef's THX ultra in-ceilings/in-walls.
The L&R likely also don't hit atmos SPL spec of 105db peaks because those towers require 300 watts to play 105db at 6ft. Those Emotiva amps will put 300 watts into two channels simultaneously BUT with no other channels being driven. So, during a movie, they are likely not hitting spec at peak SPLs.
The center is pointed at the knees of the people in the front row.... (facepalm). This is causing a huge dip in the frequency response at the crossover between the tweeter and mid-range, causing in-coherence for the people in the front row. Likely, the middle row isn't even getting direct sound from the center, which is muffling 70%-80% of the movie, and the back row is likely getting only room reverberation from the center channel.
Lastly, the only part of this system that is in spec for atmos and is only in spec for the people on the front row, are the subwoofers. And only just barely.... Likely averaging 115db peaks.
All of that said, I'm not even including the SPL losses you gain after calibrating the room. This is why a good rule of thumb at minimum is to over-spec your system by about 6db. That builds in the losses you get once the room is calibrated.
SVS makes an incredible product all around especially with their new speaker line that just came out. But they only become a true reference system when properly integrated into the room. I'm sure this room sounds great properly calibrated and pushed to -10db. But I bet the system is chuffing and ear-fatiguing when turned up to -0db because of the monumental amount of THD and IMD in the speakers and subs at that volume.
I know what I've said above will likely sound snobby on my part or make the video creator pissy but you can't beat the laws of physics. You can't beat math.
Breath taking buildout of the basement that I'm sure will please the client and be able to entertain any amount of people with no problems. Again, it's BEAUTIFUL. But the audio system is by far the weakest link of the build. I'm not sure exactly which Sony projector that is but likely over half the cost of the entire home theater is sitting in that projector and screen. Last note and I'll be done. Why..... Why did was a white screen spec'd for this concept in a build out with so many materials that reflect light like crazy.... Why was an ALR screen not used? You gave up an enormous amount of contrast ratio even with all of the lights off. With the lights on? Forget about it. It's washed out even in the video above.
Ok. I'll be done.
Maybe some fish.
The open Space looks horrifying for acoustics. No chance it would ever be good for hi-fi.
Where is yours. Show it
@@ronwatson6637 I don't want to
I'm not a big fan of movie posters on the wall.
Good thing this is not your place
@@common91941Some people 😖🫣
Well that's you. I see no problem with it.
All those rooms at the end of the hallway with doors is kind of creepy.
Its easy when you have the money.
I doubt anybody ever sits in front of the fireplace. Uncomfortable Area to relax.
I'm not a big fan of theatre seating I much prefer oversized sofas and comfort Area in front. How many people spend all their leisure time watching a movie with so many other things to watch. I thought theatre rooms specialized seating were dying because people do it and then not use it very much.
I like the seats. Each to their own i guess. Love the bar area and the fire place
Good thing it's not your house or your family!
