Surprised you didn't go Sonos or Bose for the setup! I've gone Sonos for my home Cinema, Beam Gen 2, 2x Era 100's as rears, and a sub-mini for a full Atmos system and it sounds incredible! Like the Yamahas they're modular so you can just plug and play them in, each one is a bluetooth speaker, smart speaker, or simple wired speaker etc. The sub and rears are all Wi-Fi speakers so wireless connections and are just so easy, plus the Sonos app is just so smooth. It's like Apple made them

Winning this giveaway would be an incredible opportunity. I'm currently in the process of building a new home, and I'm finally getting the chance to set up my dream movie room. This space isn't replacing anything but rather adding to the overall experience. While I already have a screen and a small projector, upgrading to a new projector and sound system from Yamaha would make a significant difference. The enhanced audio and visual quality would elevate my movie-watching experience to a whole new level.
That projecter is epic! Id be watching in my main room. 65" Samsung 4k screen. Only with tv speakers just now after getting rid of my amp and 5.1 set up last year. Too many wires.

Currently living in a houseshare with friends from college, I'd use this soundbar in our living room where we often have tv / movie nights with current and old housemates.
I would use this in my family room for movie watching and tv watching and maybe some gaming! It would be replacing an old surround sound system that is ancient and doesn't get the job done anymore.
That soundbar would definitely replace my really old and small Sony speakers that came with the tv. It would definitely be a massive upgrade in sound and looks
I would love to have a new soundbar for my “smart treehouse” project I’ve been working on. Right now I have an Apple TV, 2 Nanoleaf lightships, and Eve light switch, Netgear router, and it’d be really cool to get some good audio in there too. Also, it’d be really fun to put the wireless speakers on the deck when it’s nice out. Definitely seems like a really great soundbar.
Lovely bit of kit and great review as usual Alex and the team. I would love to pop this in the main unused room in my home......the living room. It's beige, 90's and miserable and we never hang out there. This would definitely draw the family in there more often and a reason to upgrade the whole space. Peace.
I've gone from a soundbar to a home theatre in a box (which is what this basically is) then from a budget 5.1 setup, all the way up to a high-performance (audiophile grade) 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup and I can assure you going with a ultra short throw projector forces one to have limited placement for the most important speaker. The centre channel speaker handles up to 90% of the dialogue. Therefore, where possible it shouldn't be left to a soundbar. Yeah it might sound good at first, but once the novelty wears off that's where one's attention will usually be drawn to the harshness of the mids and highs, I won't mention the lows because they're bloody ain't any (the subwoofer will be helping the stereos) And as far as the surrounds that are concerned, even though they're only affect channels, they won't be able to fill a box bedroom, let alone an average size room. The only good thing about this particular audio surround setup, it'll actually force one do an upgrade.
Might look in to getting a sound bar in my living room. The speakers in my TV are very average - I’d love to turn it in and be blown away by bass and surround sound.
I’ve started watching your videos when you where setting up internet and upgrading the speed and what not, and I would use it in the living room for we can watch movies as a family ☺️
Man I need that soundbar, I've just set up a mini cinema room with 77" oled, painted the walls black and some surround sound would just finish the job nicely.
Yamaha do some really nice kit. I'd actually use this in a bedroom setup, nothing beats kicking back in bed and watching a film with a Dolby Atmos score! Great video Alex!
Would definitely run the Yamaha in the living room, I’ve used earlier models and they work perfect in irregular shaped rooms for bouncing the sound around.
Would love a soundbar system like that as I’m a fan of dolby atmos after hearing how good it is and how amazing the experience is but I’ve never experienced dolby atmos and would love to. The yamaha sound system is the best and as everything is wireless it would make it easier to place them around my entertainment room. Also just bought a Sony tv so it would go great with it and a sound system is better than using the speakers from the tv.

A Yamaha soundbar really wouldn't have gone wrong. Had really raised the movie experience as I use the TV's built-in speakers today.

The Yamaha True X Soundbar sounds fanastic! I'd love to use it in my living room paired to my Atmos-capable tv. TV speakers just don't cut it.
