I replaced the compressor on the Tacoma, a bit easier then your job 😊.
As a side note, I thought my oil pan was leaking. After further inspection, I noticed oil around the oil filter bracket that bolts to the block and is above the oil pan. I purchased new O rings from Toyota and replaced the old rings. They had hardened up like plastic. No more oil leak. A big relief because the oil pan gasket is a lot of work.

Normally newer toyota oil pan or transmission pan doesn't leak. Toyota used silicone instead gasket that why toyota never leak. 😆 🤣 😂

Yes, I agree. Mine has that silicon sealer (2007, 2.7ltr). That is why I kept looking. I thought it was the oil pressure sending unit but that was dry. But, the bracket was wet. I'm happy now.
