That plane is a U.S. Navy PBY 'Flying Catalina' recon/gunship/search & rescue aircraft used in World War II mostly in the pacific theater. The British Royal Navy used one to search for the Bismarck in the spring of 1941.
It was also used in the south pole if you want more info watch the video by primal space

Tip: you can explore a certain area using the drone. If you need a few percentage points more to get an area to 100% explored for the contract, just use the drone instead of going too far off-road and flipping

Keeping the air pressure at mid will help with the bouncing and avoiding flip overs.

Those Explore the area missions- you can use the drone instead of driving all around the area.

I would recommend running reduced tire pressure in as rocky area, you never know you can blow a tire on one small rock
Also it bounces too much and it makes it more risky for a flip over

I watch a lot of off-roading videos.... The tires seem way to slippery on dry rock in this game.
Then use better tires and adjust the tire pressure
you can use binocs (line of sight) and drone (position of drone) to explore the zone. instead of using all your gas to explore the zone.
You can do most of the area exploration with the drone and binoculars, do not have to drive everywhere. The game wasn't asking you to drive to certain locations and back in the first episode, it's asking you to scout using any of the available means.
That plane in the beginning was a pby 5 catalina which served in ww2 as a naval patrol plane

You need to use low more also you use diff when their is a tire in the air and it locks the tire and then the other tire spin

15:17 definitely low gear when going down inclines like that. It limits your speed so you don’t go too fast.

You should check out some of the mods there already on the game the modding community are amazing for Snowrunner looks like their going to be great for Expeditions also

Eh... games like this are a bit better suited for a controller. Switching gears/modes, turning the camera, etc all way easier with thumbsticks and more buttons :)
Guess I'm just use to Mud Runner - this one does seem to have a lot more user interface to deal with outside of just the driving. @@TmarTn2

I may be the only one, but the quick changes between fp and tp cameras is causing a bit of motion sickness even just while watching.
