Great video and what a place! Brilliant clubs and fitting. Had more sets of Ping than any other brand. I had the pleasure to meet Kirsten many years ago and had a lovely letter which I still have today. Class company class products with many of my favourite players in the stable. Many thanks Radar love your videos.
Had my fitting a couple of weeks ago by Paul, was a fantastic day, treat you really well and very knowledgeable and understanding, would recommend to everyone to give it a go
I have been fitted and using Ping clubs for about 20 yrs now. The only club in my bag that’s non Ping is my 58* Vokey. My bag is currently set up as follows: Driver G400 Max 3 Wood G425 Max (lofted up to 4 wood) 4 Hybrid G410 5 Hybrid G410 5,6,7,8,9,PW,U,SW G400’s White Dot (6’2”) Putter Ping Zing (Anser style) Ditched the4 iron when I had the G400’s fitted and had the U instead. I have played Kirsten Lake course in 2006 in a VW Masters Regional Final (I won my division) and had my then Ping irons and Driver checked whilst I was there and all was good so I have used the same club pro to fit my new clubs each time I change. Next new club is more than likely going to be the G425 Max driver.
First set of isi k were white dot plus one inch longer than std, second set were rapture irons green dot plus 3/4 inch longer . Grips were plus 1 32nd of an inch. Ping were the innovators and I wish I could still play.
My g400 LST ain't going anywhere. Probably the best Driver I had in my bag. I tell yaa. When I tee up that ball, the confident level is freaking amazing. Power fade down the middle 9/10 times
Aladdins Cave. It is also worth mentioning Ping After Sales service that follows on from the Fitting Centre. I attended a re-fitting session with Paul on 9 Aug 22 for my 4yr old i200's. This concluded in a recommendation to re-shaft from XP95R to Recoil 480S gaining 6yds straight carry and a high repeatable trajectory. All work done by Ping UK Service for a 1/4 price of new clubs. If you like your Ping irons and think you might benefit from some additional Ping magic do send them an email. They reply by next day. 10/10
Thanks Radar, great video. I recently had a Ping iron fitting and am also Orange. Have been playing with standard lie for 35 years. Got the new 425s in Feb and I think I've airmailed more greens in three months than I hit in regulation previously. I am a 17 marker but once I get my yardages sorted (how do you spell metreages) that should drop. Thanks again and look forward to the rematch with Lee W. Did he really turn a gold plated putter into a lamp?
Excellent video. I remember Radar hitting a 2 iron like a bullet out of the left hand bush at the '92 Vines Classic off a sandy lie. Sticks in my memory. Always been a good striker of the ball.
I was interested in having a full iron fit up there after the fitting i had with the mobile fitter. But i was told they still only fit for a 7 iron, so what if i wanted a mix and match set ? A bit like buying a car and you can only sit in the drivers seat to see if its comfortable. One day i will be told why not fit also for a 4 iron and a P/W. Doubt i will get an answer from this from Ping,
Fitting centres only use either a 6/7 Iron as the test club, whether it's a manufacturer's or a multi-brand set-up. The main reason is simply down to the number of extra shafts required to add in a 4 & P/W. However, with the increased popularity of combo Iron setups, I do think that it's only a matter of time before golfers are offered the opportunity to add in a 4 and or PW into the fitting session. Also, being able to test the PW would be beneficial because in my experience most golfers tend to Pull their PW and would benefit from having it a little Flatter.
I am surprised PING is still using a piece of plexiglass board when determining the proper lie angel. Reason I say this is that the board rises the ball higher up (compared to the level of the feet) which is bound to affect the way the club head strikes the ball.
That looks like a Great new facility at Gainsborough, but it's surprising that with all the high tech now available PING are still using Lie Boards. PINGS Size chart is a good starting point for getting the static lie angle, but because we now know that a golfer's dynamic angles differ from their static angles, the actual Ball flight should be the final arbiter of the Lie Angle.
PAUL HERE, NO NOT THE ONE AT PING , I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE, OK , I too would like to know why I could spend hours on the stimulater as we call it testing clubs why though ,?
Lie boards can lie ,because the thickness of the board can give a inaccurate measurement. Also it depends on a player's vertical swing plane high vs low hands through impact.
I ordered my ping G425 irons on Third of April eight weeks later and I still haven’t received my irons i’m so disappointed with Ping I will probably never buy this brand again
I thought that my six week wait was bad. Took a whole six days to get my PXG woods. Should have ordered iron from PXG as well, I’d be playing my new clubs already.
Covid has slowed production for companies yet increased the demand, lots of people waiting ages for clubs and the price's have increased. It's not PING's fault, use your brain.

Very Professional Paul #Top Fitter 👍🏻
So knowledgeable great guy !
He will always greet you with a smile .
Love it. I could spend weeks in this facility and not get bored.
I got fitted by Paul last year, he is awesome and the service at Ping is 2nd to none... Played my best golf since having my i210s too. Cheers Ping 👍
Fascinating. Thanks. Just got to start saving now. Inspired
HI Paul again just got my new new ping 2023 used it in a comp yesterday 1st time works well .
Been there a couple of times. Paul is a great guy. Planning a trip this summer too. Can't wait.

Do you know if they fit you with project x shafts green
I love watching Radar he speaks my language, would love to go to this facility for a proper fitting.
Looking forward to Episode 11 of "A Round with Radar" to see what difference these new bats make. Great video wonderfully presented as ever.
Wonderful video-thanks sooo much!!!
So easy to get fitted when you strike it as consistently as Radar. That 3 wood was very impressive.

Brilliant so much detail
Great after sales service too.
Great vid again Radar ,very entertaining ,fun to watch a great player talk golf .Radar you need your own RUclips Channel.
What a lovely swing.
Brilliant video that really enjoyed that one 🙌🏼
So entertaining Wayne.
I worked in the pro shop at Thonock many years ago......the course didn’t look like that though! Great investment by Ping!

Very interesting video! But doesn‘t the lieboard heighten the position of the ball and thus alter the real relationship of height and armlength?

Ping. Class people and a class product, I wouldn’t play anything else. 👍
Great viewing that
Do they sell fitted ping caps here? Can’t get them online or from anywhere else in the uk
I wish the fitter had put the same shaft combo in the 410. No way the heads are that far apart.
Is it possible to get the same putter as Viktor Hovland? With the patina finish and speccs?
LOVE WAYNE RILEY .... HES ONE OF THE BEST COMMENTERS ,,,, HES A LEGEND .... OF GOLF ..... ONE OF THE BEST COMMS ON SKY GOT WIT AND HUMOUR,,,,
Great swing
Really interesting Radar, one day but for now I'll be second hand Sally.
loved the video very well explained the whole process to show all styles of golfer's 👌😍👍⛳
Can you try a g 425 driver with a project x green shaft ???
Hi!! I have a question..when you move the lie angle, 1 degree flat, what happens with the loft? It goes stronger or weak? Thanks
I HAVE A QUESTION .IS AS I THINK A SIMULATOR YARDAGE WHEN TESTING A DRIVER TO PURCHASE A TRUE DISTANCE OR A GIMMICK TO MAKE US BUY. ??? PAUL
Did he have an explanation for the loss in club head speed from the 410 to the 425 driver?
I wish I could go to a actual ping fitting center

Hi could you help me . I play ping clubs. But never been fitted. I'd love to come over to see you guys and get checkd out thanks steve
I’m all Ping now. Well, Evnroll putter.
I am surprised PING is still using a piece of plexiglass board when determining the proper lie angel. Reason I say this is that the board rises the ball higher up (compared to the level of the feet) which is bound to affect the way the club head strikes the ball.
I’d imagine that the compression of the strike needed to place the mark on the tape would make the difference negligible.
You'd have the same effect by changing shoes from one day to another.
Do you wear footjoy or Nike shoes????!!!!!!!
Lol, a vice & a hammer mallet to adjust lie angle. Is that old school tech?
Poorly fitted in Adelaide mate , should i go to Melbourne ??
That looks like a Great new facility at Gainsborough, but it's surprising that with all the high tech now available PING are still using Lie Boards.
PINGS Size chart is a good starting point for getting the static lie angle, but because we now know that a golfer's dynamic angles differ from their static angles, the actual Ball flight should be the final arbiter of the Lie Angle.
How tall are you Radar
PAUL HERE, NO NOT THE ONE AT PING , I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE, OK , I too would like to know why I could spend hours on the stimulater as we call it testing clubs why though ,?
why does Ping release new clubs in Europe first?
Can't believe the 425 driver was 15 yards longer and 25 feet higher than the 410 unless the 410 was not fitted.
Blue 👍
Lie boards can lie ,because the thickness of the board can give a inaccurate measurement. Also it depends on a player's vertical swing plane high vs low hands through impact.
Let this be a lesson to people that you don’t need an x stiff shaft. He just swung 101 mph club head speed and with a regular shaft. There you go.
Interesting regular in driver stiff in 3 wood and hybrid
Remember old thonock greens fenced off to keep sheep off great transformation by ping to be fair
European fitting centre in the UK 🤔
that guy looks about 17 yrs old.! .,.. and he''s been there 30 years? looks like Radar's son! :)
As if Ping would let this video go out if the new clubs were not longer or straighter.....lmao
Paul Rymer fitted me for driver and 3 wood ( G410), he had to work a bit harder with me though, Radars still got it 👏👏👏👍
Two dislikes, they must have bought into the Nike hype.
Or they just bought a g410 driver only to be told it’s obsolete
I ordered my ping G425 irons on Third of April eight weeks later and I still haven’t received my irons i’m so disappointed with Ping I will probably never buy this brand again

So the turbulators are not on the new 3 wood? Do they make a difference or not, or are they just a gimmick?
As the Fairway Woods were smaller they produced less Drag so the turbulators offered little benefit to the club heads aerodynamics.
@@banditbaker1675 They are a good alignment aid though .

Radar.. Take that heavy watch off and youll get another 5 yards..
Nice job ! Have to do a giveaway with your hand me downs . For the poor people ping wannabe’s
Good video, but lie boards are outdated and inaccurate. Face sticker, dynamic lie angle, and ball flight should be used instead.

I haven't played Muckhart in years. There was word of it becoming 27 holes (in the 1990's sometime). Did that ever happen?

Without the drivel of Wayne 'Radar' Riley, the contributions to PING could be really interesting. It's a pity that PING resorts to such a bore.
He can’t handle radar 😂
i was enjoying that until the lie board came out.
