My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss. - Развлечения
It always amazes me how they film them washing themselves, and a lot of the time they don't need to censor it, as their fupa essentially covers their bottom half like a skirt...
I thought the same thing. I convinced myself that they *HAVE TO* be getting paid a pretty penny. But nope.... they get a measly $1,500 check. Now... the medical intervention and help they recieve is free for being on the show. It's a shame that most of them don't follow through or even appreciate the opportunity given to them.
@@chadkinman327 I agree with you.
It is quite sad, but I think it is mostly because the show does not care to really address the core issues- psychological/emotional/mental issues.
If you don't take care of the root cause, it does not matter what you do- you will gain the weight back (or develop another unhealthy habit/addiction like drinking, gambling, drugs, or even go to the other side of the spectrum and develop ED).
The show gives them the surgery and the extremely expensive aftercare, but I'm not sure how much they invest in good proper therapy (it can take many many sessions to get somewhere).
I also wish they would insist on a low to no-carb diet (such as keto or carnivore) with no sugar and carbs, as from what I've witnessed so far- it has a very high success rate among many overweight and obese people.
What's good about eating because you're the weight that you're at !!! More food good lady ! I was abused when I was a kid that's no excuse for your food addiction!!!!
Snacks and junk food that's not good !!!! 😮😮😮
5 cheese burgers and apples pies plus drinks and his sister's has the same things and lunch plus all the pizzas and garlic knots and other things OMG that's Outrageous amounts of food !!!!😊
Who pays for the food? It must cost thousands of dollars a month unless the government is paying for it. Which means working people.
If she was on food stamps it wouldn’t pay but a few days of food for her, and it doesn’t include take out obviously.
The government doesn’t pay for this. If they even qualify for disability, it’s minimal (poverty-level) and food stamps do not cover fast/prepared food.
Most of them have someone in their lives who work (sometimes two people work), and some of the obese folk themselves work outside the home. Some work inside the home, especially for f3t1sh content.
But and I agree….. crap food is cheaper.
Why a mom would bring that amount of food to a daughter? This TV show is full of enablers
That is some seriously lousy parenting. She should have been put in a hospital AWAY from her enabling mother. In this show it seems these behemoths lose the most weight in a hospital cuz their enabler can't do anything these blobs whine about.
What baffles me more is when their “caregivers” make them a giant amount of unhealthy food
She hardly ever see's her brother.... who lives downstairs wtf 💀
Food does not heal emotions is what I tell myself
Just because you can eat it doesn't make it food. 😕
Yeah I stopped eating walls after seeing your comment
She's a BIG girl ! Hope she can find the inner strength she needs.
Idk how they can afford all this food must be nice
They’re on disability , so the taxpayers are paying the bills
@@miketaylor9101 People should be able to collect disability, but people like this should not.
@@loraldinp2624 Yeah that just seems to make it worse cuz as soon as she gets that money it's off to get food immediately just like a crackhead would run to their dealer.
I’ve been fighting for disability for years now. Who knew all I needed to do was turn myself into Jabba the Hut to qualify?
@@terminalsam1099 As you know, it’s not easy to get. If they even qualify for disability, payments are poverty-level. Food stamps do not cover fast food or prepared foods.

"It's all because of food"
Um, no, it's not the food that's to blame. It's YOUR choices that's to blame.
It's not necessary the true, a lot of junky food is actually quite addictive and there's a lot of junky food that is much cheaper and weirder available than the healthy options
We should have some of that
We’re paying for it
Every paycheck
But we aren’t. If they even qualify for disability, payments are poverty-level. Food stamps do not cover fast food or prepared foods.

Brittany ended up losing all of the weight and had skin surgery. She looks amazing now.
4,000 calories isn’t contextually “more than half” of what she should be eating, it’s twice as much as what she should be eating. More than half would be between 1,000 and 2,000 calories, contextually speaking.
She has a care taker at 22 years old?? 😳
addition comes in many forms
Addiction
@@deborahbarlow5069 you right
Just wait till you find out about subtraction, multiplication and division
I'm actually physically disabled and it disgust me to have to wait for someone that can't control the junk that makes them FAT! I broke my back and I'm average weight. Being FAT is not a disability!
Parent says ANYTHING critical:
Them " IM BEING ABUSED!"
Maybe the caretaker should actually take care of her. He’s not a caretaker: he’s an enabler.
He's doing what he's paid to do.
"chicken nuggets" lolz ..hun those are pizza rolls
I couldn't sacrifice my independence for food no way!
My question is... if they can afford all this food, why is it all junk? I'd be eating $50 steak or lobster dinners every night!
But they would have to eat 5 steaks or five lobsters... Each night
Quantity > Quality
Its an addiction. It doesnt matter about quality, its the dopamine from eating.
If hobbits were real, they would somewhat resemble people on this show. Based on their eating habits.
Nah, hobbits ate home grown, natural foods, and they liked a bit of gardening and dancing.
Hobbits don’t deserve to be lumped in with these McDonalds chomping couch potatoes.
@@CreamyBeige they probably would have have eaten ultra processed food if it were accessable to them. All that longbottom leaf sure gives them the munchies.
Their lymphedemas look like medium rare filet mignon. MMM ! 😋
Pretty sure hobbits have a high enough metabolism, too, to keep from becoming obese. And he'll, there were some pretty chonky hobbits
the calorie calculations mentioned are not correct...way under what it actually is
Nothing worse than AI with a vocal fry…
Addiction at its worse. I can’t imagine waking up and eating a bag of burgers. Most of us do not understand bc we see food entirely differently.
They all just eat highly processed food which is just pure sugar. I suppose you can't eat well if you've never been taught.
Cannot imagine eating cake for breakfast, a pint of ice cream on top of a whole pizza, or junk food at every meal everyday. It seems like most of them have binge eating disorder.😢
5 cheese burgerz
I’m pretty sure a chocolate bar isn’t 550 calories
"BriTANee"
Knock it off with the AI and just record it yourself FFS.
Amen!!
Who wants to eat until they want to vomit! It's so gross
Well ur watching them now
Never heard Brittany pronounced like that before
Made in America
Frozen burritos don’t even taste good. If you’re gonna eat bad at least eat something good!
The eat the grossest stuff
Bri-TANee? lol.
I'm sorry at 22 years old to be this weight is disgusting they complain how their lives are yet still fill their faces, how can they afford all this food? Must be nice to be able to buy what you like
She’s a drain on society, 22 and needs a caretaker, parents.
Pathetic*
Apparently they can leave the house to get tattoo
First of all meats good for you the body needs meat and animal protein but did you see all those potatoes and all those burritos it's all the processed sugar garbage and carbohydrates processed carbs and all the crap she's eating eat all the meat and bacon you want play off the carbohydrates in the sugar that is actually triggering your addiction when we say these people have food addiction what you're actually saying is they have carbohydrate and sugar addiction it's what they really have and they also need trauma counseling
I can see maybe a doughnut but cake no!😊
Who tf is “bertany” 💀 yall AI is so advanced now, cmon
I'm sorry but if you're going on national TV at least clean up first
Who pays for this? Oh Nevermind.... American taxpayers

The amount of money from disability payments (if they qualify) is minimal, and food stamps don’t cover fast food.
Do any of these ppl know how to park??
There is just no excuse for this much greed and gluttony! I will never understand why people choose to do this to themselves. This is not living.
