We need a comprehensive test with and without traction bars, launch test, trailer pulling test, and maybe even a comparison between traction bars and full length latter bars.
I go off-road alot. Unfortunately they get stuck on rocks to much because they hang to low. So for me, I'll sacrifice some traction for better clearance.
Traction bars made a very noticeable difference/improvement on my 2500!!! I was blown away with how much better it rode and felt connected to the road.
Those work best with coil overs and an additional link. The unequal length of the bars and the front half of the leaf spring just create on big suspension bind. They do not travel the same arc.
@@TruckMasterYour the reason I love trucks so much and will be getting a D max when I turn 16 so thanks for insight and love for the truck scene and helping other want to get in
What’s a shocks you recommend for towing a travel trailer? I got an 06 LBZ as well my shocks are done I need to replace them but I don’t know where to start.
Traction bars are for when you got your women out and you feel like ripping it sideways to listen to her screaming. Or to keep from ripping out your rear diff or busting off your t case. But I’m going with listening to her screaming at me hahaha 🤣
Once I have to modify that much, you pretty much have a car that looks like a truck. Total loss of height any good size obstacle will mess the up and your day.
I don’t know why anybody would take one of these things offroad to worry about obstacles. I can back mine over a curb or sidewalk to get a trailer in a yard and that’s all the obstacles I’ll ever need to clear. I have real offroad toys for going offroad
They are torsion rods, they are the equivalent to the spring. They lock into a hole on the lower control arm and into a “key” connected to a cross member on the frame with a adjustment bolt that sets the neutral angle of the lower control arm in turn setting your ride height in the front. There is tension on the rod and when the control arm moves up it twist the rod more which is what gives the “spring” and holds up the weight of the vehicle (the torsion rods resistance to twisting). Traction bars are only for a solid axle and they prevent the axle from twisting, the torsion rods are only for independent suspension and are almost exclusively on 4x4s for packaging purposes.

I did a full launch before and after video on these bars and it was night and day
I do agree.
We need more detail though 🤔 whistling diesel would do it.

Sucks trying to lift them at the shop too
They make shorter ones for a reason
Go above the axle. Weld your own mounts.
probably should throw paint or at least anti-seize on those holes you drilled with exposed metal
I'm glad I put the hsp bars on. It feels better now

I use PMF Suspension traction blocks with 5° pinion angle and adjustable hanger bearing mount
I can't believe you used a step bit on the impact to drill your holes!?!?!?
And nothing to stop them from rusting after that
Triggered 😂
@@C4H10N4O2 just lob some grease or oil on the bolts it'll be fine.
I thought the same! I’ve always called them uni-bits, that’s really putting them through the test
@@ChillkootMarkowee the fuck they will

That lifted truck now has so much less clearance for off-roading and it is a highly vulnerable area to get hung up on. They belong on a street setup.
Just take them off... simple
The only thing that sucks is it takes forever to get them if you order from hsp
Mine only took about a week
Get WCfab bars
Lost me at the Stepdrill on an impact
Why?
😂
@@TruckMaster really bruh?
Hi man love the vids
Thanks!

All that powder coating for rough country shocks 😂😂😂😂
Haters 😂
@@TruckMaster hahaha I’m dead 😂
Worst part is they get in the way of one rear brake caliper bracket bolt.Have to remove it to get to that brake caliper bracket bolt
What size hsp bars are these?
Wow. Unless your drag racing NEVER use a traction bar on leaf springs, it binds and puts the load on the FRAME they are ment for coil spring rear ends
Why so long?
What about sway bars😊
I understand the concept of these things but in my opinion they look so ugly

cal.tracks work great. not alot of work to put them in. cheap traction bars that do what their supposed to do.
They also allow alignment adjustment so you’re not side tracking.
My truck don't have leaf springs.. I'll prob never have leafs again on any truck
I love my leaf springs though, there very strong for heavy loads!
Need ‘‘em for 1500

What made you chose HSP over Kryptonite? Just tackled the kryptonite whole front end on jack stands 🫠
What are those traction bars in the front of the truck too? Why do only lofted trucks have them?
