    Very nice. Looks good! Had an Eastman B-6 and a Real McCoy D-1. The Eastman B-6 was nice and form fitting more so than the B-3s.

      Thanks! Both great Jackets, I'd like to get a B-6 as it looks the most useful and easy fitting of all the shearling of WWII.

    I'm literally about to put in my order on a late war jacket and wanted to see one being worn, and with the russet seam covers. Thanks for letting me see both! I'm definitely going for a 42 for a more snug fit

    The smaller fur panels are for ease of repair (originally) by design

    Don't get me wrong. I would order from Aero because they will make custom size for me. Big fan.

    Sorry they are right on VLJ. It's probably three inches too long in the torso.

      I think everyone is right. It is a size 44 and I'm really a 42 so I need to try on a 42 to see if it's better on me. Thanks.

    This video, combined with your review on your Aero A2's has definitely sold me on Aero as the company to get my first leather jacket from! I am quite curious though, where would one usually go if one where to go hunting for a "deal" on one of these?😁

    • @derekdoeschannel
      @derekdoeschannel  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks. I love Aero if you haven't been able to tell yet. Now as to a deal... look for used jackets on various forums and even ebay. Also Aero every once in a while has a sale! Plus check out their Apprentice made jackets! You should be able to save a few hundred going that route.

    is it more wearable than the B3? is the fleece on the back the same lenght? cause i live in Paris and for me the B3 is too much

    • @derekdoeschannel
      @derekdoeschannel  4 месяца назад

      The Irvin is a much better choice as a daily wearable jacket. The B3 is an awesome jacket but so thick.

    • @derekdoeschannel
      @derekdoeschannel  4 месяца назад +1

      @@nomos6508 both make a great Irvin. Older Eastmans are the best like from the late 90s. Otherwise I’d go Aero as they’re less expensive.

    I don't like the belt, personally. The older ones must have been shorter, because the b3 and Irving were made to serve different function.

    • @derekdoeschannel
      @derekdoeschannel  Месяц назад

      You get use to the belt. My 42 black sheep irvin fits better than the 44.
