You've actually got the machine threaded incorrectly. You want to go around the tension unit counterclockwise like you have it, but then keep going behind the checkspring and behind and over the L-shaped rod that sits right over the tension discs. Then you come back down to hook under the checkspring, up through the takeup arm, and down through the thread guides to go through the needle. I recently picked up a Consew 18 that has the same threading and it took some time to figure out how to thread it correctly.

The "wind flap" is actually something to attach to the gloves, which I believe were specialized for CBRN warfare. It's not very useful for civilians.

Nice video Derek. The one thing you mentioned in your video that you are not correct about is the color. The color is green like you mentioned, but it is also brown. The reason it changes color is because it is green on onside and brown on the other, so depending on how clint was wearing it, it would either be green or brown. If you look at the new figure that was just made of the man with no name/Blondie by Sideshow, they did the poncho correctly as it is two colors just like the original which Clint still owns.

Figuring out how to thread the thread through all of those places on the machine it needs to be threaded.

I don’t know for certain, but I would assume the blue one is newer because the tag says High Grade Western Wear - most of that line I’ve come across is from the 80s.

I had this same car that I bought used in 1994. In 2024 I can still say that it was tied for the best car I've ever had. The other is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. The Honda was so refined and ahead of it's time that it still drives along with me to this day. I sold it in favor of a brand new 1997 Dodge Neon. Wow! I had a new car! Yeah...Please give me back that Honda!!

I didn’t mind the look of how it was before, but it drapes and fits much nicer after the conditioning! Would love to find one of these in my size. Do you do anything to sanitize or clean the liner? Last jacket I bought had an unpleasant thrift store smell I couldn’t get rid of.

I picked up a pair and had to get a second, Ive wearing the boots out and using them to their fullest. Great boots for almost anything; very comfy, only downside is going through a metal detector with them, really trips people up when they hear “spike protection” instead of like a safety toe.

There was an antique shop in Terra Alta West Virginia, that had a church Warden Pipe that was 7 ft long. They claimed it was made by a preacher in 1860, and they were asking $2,800 for it. Of course I couldn't afford to buy it. It looked like it was well smoked and they had a lot of documentation on it

The original insole is made of a plastic mesh with the idea that as you walk your feet will lift off then compress back on the insoles, the lifting then compression drawing air in then pushing it out of the inside of the boot through the eyelets. It helps dry the boots out after they get wet, and keeps air circulating around your feet, hopefully preventing jungle rot. I have a pair of German army contract jungle boots which are very similar, i think theyre the best option for anyone in europe who wants a decent pair without paying for shipping from the US.

Great looking jacket! I have my Dads M51 from when he was in the Army, it doesn't have wool in the pockets though, i wonder when they made the change.

i think that's genuine M51. Buttons (regular) on the sleeve, not Velcro, "silver" zipper. Nothing strange for a classic M51 Field jacket. Great jacket, too.

There's no inside pockets in this vintage Levis type III jacket. I do own a modern Levis III Jacket in Dark Wash color and I bought a Sean John Knock off type III jacket $20 recently as well

"Alu" or silver zipper is made by General on this early M65 field jacket from 1969.

Well it’s great to see these new pick ups. Nice 1975 model for the m65 and what a lovely transitional m51/65. Great work. The combat patch is the MACv patch and 5th army. Today arrived a first pattern m65 1965 so I was excited to have a new arrival. Keep up the collecting.
