I can only say between the Sewing Machines, Militaria, vintage pipes and your other interests, there has been no one who shares my similar passions. So happy to have found your channel. Keep up the great work.

I have the Osann version 177-1 of this machine on the original table. Love it! Use it to repair denim.

I had an antique Singer I bought at the Goodwill Bins for $10. They quit selling them by weight there and sell all sewing machines for $10. Googled and I think it may have been a 28 model. Had it up for sale for a year, no one wanted it. I saw a RUclips video by Tucker Upper (reseller/trash picker) and he said he had the same problem, no luck selling them. I ended up throwing it away tbh. Too heavy to ship IMHO. Only contact from potential buyers was a local sewing school, but I wasn't going to give it away for free, LOL.

I don't usually pick up the home (domestic) machines like the 28. There are a few that are worth it though but you'd need to research those for which ones. They're not that bad to ship though, it's just important on how you pack it.

Great video Derek … can you tell me if there are any modern darning machines to fix holes? Can you tell me more about your denim cap? Looks great !

Thanks! I really don't know all the new models out there but I'm sure they make one, especially with the popularity of the 47 and the prices it brings. I'd do a check on Juki and Consew plus all the Chinese made models out there if you want a new one. And my cap is a copy of an old Engineer cap I pickup up years ago. I just made a rough pattern from the original, used some Cone denim I had laying around it turned out pretty good. I just used it as a work cap as it even has a bit of paint on it from previous projects.
