Thanks!
Do you know any information about the Selvedge version of these jeans
Sorry, I don’t. I’d love to see them though.
Did you sell the jeans?
How much are you asking for them?
Louis
Hi, sorry I thought it was for another item. I haven't really priced them. Send me an offer if you're interested in them.
Derek! Brother! How are you? I have been looking for a decent pair of these to make a pattern from since the early 2000's. They are rare as in Canada, even though we had many Sears. There are so many interesting details on these jeans. Was that a Single stitch felled seam? Also note that the bobbin threads were mostly thinner and white? WOW. So many lost details..
Hey Derek, what are you chances that you would work with me and get these jeans back to a pattern? I would love to re-pop these!!
Do you have any machines for sale? I am looking for a Singer 111w series......
Lets chat!
Hi and Thank you. Tell me about what you make? I don't have any 111w's right now but I bet shipping to Canada would be as much as the machine. I see machines all the time in Canada for sale though.
@@derekdoeschannel I make clothing for people with disabilities. (spectrum myself) But I am an old vintage hound, used to sell vintage to Japan in the 90's . I have had many dead stock items pass my hands! These Jeans included. I have been wishing to find a pair used to draft my own pattern as this would be my next pant of choice. I am learning to make a 8 pocket Jean here right now. I have an Singer 400w103, and another 20 or thirty older domestic machines, need to find that needle feed...
If you make a pattern, ill buy that pattern from you for personal use. Let me know please. I loved the front pockets, never seen anything close to this cut. Stoked!
well if we can get the measurements, I can totally draft that with Dereks help. I think many people are stoked to see a pair of these and we should all pop them this year!

I am just watching a few videos on how to replicate jeans to pattern with out ripping seams...do you have an email I can use to communicate with you!?
ALSO, where the hell are you picking all of this? You have some kinda vintage sourcing that basically extinct. Privileged chatting with you!!

Salvage is trash....selvege is how to sew a seam and can be the edges of a cut of fabric on a fabric bolt. When we sew a seam usually standard is at 5/8s. The 5/8 sides we press it open with an iron. and then finish the seam to keep it from fraying. Called finish work on the selveges.
Selvedge saves the jean maker money by not having to spend extra on time and materials to overlock an edge. I love selvedge.
Sears had jeans then dumped them then brought them back as western jeans.
Looks like the overlock was done later... I dont think overlock stitching was done until many years later. Overlock is trash. I have a brand new overlock machine i would never use
Overlocks date back at least to the 1920's. Union Special had them.
If those are 50s then dont sell them for much less of 400.00 used
thanks. They are 50's.
