I grew up watching the 1992 Disney musical, Newsies. I got my first one at a thrift store and another at a military surplus store. I've seen lots in thrift stores, many vintage and ones from Ireland (sometimes marked w/ Blarney inside). My current wool cap I found about 6 years ago while bicycling around, it was in the street, it's a REI cap. Have worn it in all weather, always hand wash it and have got a lot of compliments on it. I find that 2 or 3 caps max is all one person really needs.
Love this style. Have had 2-3 of these now. I’m from the uk and I hate the narrow English style caps. My grandad had several gamekeeper/ narrow. I’ve been drawn to them probably through peaky blinders but more so being bald. I’ve worn more hats in the last 15+ years than I ever did when I was younger.
