You know they didn't show gays in a very good light in this show. At times they did but they promoted misconceptions. As a straight person i find it appalling,i cant imagine how it makes a gay feel!

The scene where Vera opened the small cell hatch and said they're disgusting, Georgie had her back to Judy shouting abuse at Vera and Judy also was yelling at Vera but Judy said "because I'm a lesbian". Georgie wouldn't know she was because she was deaf and had her back to Judy when Judy said it. Judy also says later that she thought Georgie knew. That earlier scene showed that.
