I have no idea what the scriptwriters were thinking when they dreamed up Meg's marriage to Bob the Snob
7:57 Bea: "I haven't got a husband."
Chrissy: "Well that's only cos you shot him."
Bea: "Oh shut up!"
haha brilliant
😅😅😅😅😅
🤣🤣
When Bob made that ultimatum to Meg, she should've just left him there and then.
Hazel looks so much like young Kirstie Alley , Bea says to Judy " leave the heavy stuff to us " When they were preparing to escape down that tunnel few episodes ago, Judy was pushing that heavy huge cover back on , all by herself lol
Good to see Jim stand up to Vera for a change during the supposedly unsupervised visit. Its about time he showed some authority over her and stopped her from doing the job in such a way to suit herself all the time. The conjugal visiting scheme is a good one, for once Erica has made a positive move which should be good for morale if she allows it to take off.
36:37 - "Johnny's been farting at school".
I love Aussie accents :)
That's where they got the character for the "Viz" comic "Johnny Fartpants" !!
That's what I heard - poor Johnny's gas problems at school lolz!
Had Hazel poured gin on her porridge that morning? She definitely says ‘farting’ 💨💨
😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
erica davidson!! (LMAO) this lamp looks just like the one in my office, amazing resemblance! HAHAHAHAHA,, they're just walking around again! no security! unreal :P
yea but she played it off real well you know,, too funny!!
yes lizzie could lol
This is where Tracy gets her spoilt behaviour from. Bob pisses me off as he knew fine well what her career was and how she loved it, before they got married!
I don't like that Morris bloke meg married, he looks down his nose at her job. The irony is his previous daughter is in jail. I think meg would of been better off getting with Paul Reid. Shame he left really.
Precious I meant LOL
Carlene Boulden Is she, though? I seem to remember her being put in the jail only for 24 hours to put her off committing crimes- did she actually get incarcerated, then, after that? And if so, what for?
Lamp Shade yeah she got put in jail. Wentworth first then barnhurst. I forget why now lol. If you Google the character it will tell you.
+Carlene Boulden drug trafficking
Nancy La Selva that's it lol
Vera: We're so nice we make the prisoners want to stay
Lizzie: So there!
Fiona Spence has the same script for every episode...only slightly reshuffled!
A ways back we sort of joked about how each character has a standard line that they seem to always use: the Vera/ Fiona line is" alright you lot ,get a move on, we haven't got all day!" how many times has she said that.
Jamie Nelson google “butlins” and have a read. They ran a huge operation in the UK... A slice of history really, before the advent of cheap flights and package holidays.
Jamie Nelson a whole BBC sitcom called “hi de hi” was an affectionate look at these establishments. It used to be on RUclips but got taken down, may be still up elsewhere. It’s a really good comedy written by some of Britain’s best known writers.
"Now get back to work!" is one of her regular one liners... LOL
Mrs Davidson could head but someone and knock them out with her hair. It's like cement.
Meg is such a doormat, I'm surprised
she doesn't have Welcome printed
on her back.
Her knickers are like a yo-yo though
If the shed’s a rockin’, don’t come knockin’
If the Shed's subsiding, it's because of the riding.
Lol at mrs davidson saying bashings ,, classic :-)
First Georgie for parole and now Chrissie lol. What a load of nonsense she only killed someone for no reason a year ago and not just anyone but a member of staff. It seems the only murderer they want to give a life sentence to is Bea.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😮😅😅🎉😂😂😂🎉😮😅
@ 4:50 Vera - “Haven’t you heard the latest? We don’t punish escapees at Wentworth anymore. We make the place so nice they don’t want to leave us.”
LMAO Vera’s character has the best lines in the entire series.
15:27 - It's the Noeline Burke theme - haven't heard it for ages.
Paulie Jay i got to that part as soon as I seen this coming lol! I think it's a hilarious theme for noline?
Very Pink Panther.
Pink panther theme like
Bob is very chauvinistic. Blaming Meg for losing a contract is really low.
Yeah, I think Meg should tell Bob the snob to f***k off if he doesn't like her job. Why is Meg letting Bob the snob rule her life?
Wow, they sure got that shed up & running pretty fast for conjugal visits!
I'll be stunned if Erica doesn't notice the missing lamp! (but it's not the first time she's surprised me)
Belinda Davey (Hazel) is such a natural. I've always liked her.
Take a look at Belinda in the first episodes when she played Sister. Her face literally glowed. I find her mesmerizing, with her throaty voice and lovely figure. Very beautiful woman. Her character in Prisoner isn't fascinating, but they didn't give her much to work with until much later.
I love that bit at 18'20" where Meg says "Martini?"
Wish Bob had said, "No, that's your son. I'm your husband - Bobby." 😆
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Meg will be glad when she doesnt have to pretend to fancy him no more haha
Lizzie just walks into Erica's office and steals her lamp! Surely Erica wouldn't be so stupid to leave her office unlocked. Oh well, at least Lizzie also managed a mouthful of the urine sample left on the side !
Ofc she would, she makes the same mistakes with being too soft in every single episode lol
My Goodness Mrs. Davidson's hair moves in the wind. I would think a tornado wouldn't move that hair
Wentworth a high security prison? What a joke - the Governor's office is left unlocked when the women are able to wander all over the place. Not to mention Lizzie being able to stroll out of the gate without anyone noticing!
That story was stupid with Lizzie
Vera should hire herself out as a contraceptive.
Kent is one very nice looking woman 😍
Take a look at Belinda Davey in the first few episodes (when she played Sister). Her face literally glowed. I find her mesmerizing, with her throaty voice and lovely figure. Very beautiful woman. It's a shame they didn't highlight her much until many episodes later.
She certainly is and what MoonOverYou says is exactly what I was thinking.
@@MoonOverYou this is not intended to be a spoiler but Belinda Davey has what I believe is one of the most dramatic scenes in the entire series.
She reminds me of someone else but I can't think who it is.
@@ajs41 Mrs Barry?
lol, Davidson's office unlocked with all the files and the booze to be stolen, as usual. "She never learns" xD
16:04 Erica doing her audition for 'Saturday Night Fever'. 💃🤣
26:56 "I understand you're in charge of the first conjugal visit, Vera". Talk about a cold shower.
They really do dress Hazel up wrongly, from that disgusting cardigan to the way her hairs done which makes her head look huge. When she played the sister she looked so pretty and glamorous.
Grass around the shed..!!? Has it magically grown since Hazel had her visit then 🤔
poor meg you deserve better than bob
So Chrissie tells her man off for referring to their daughter as "The kid" then she goes on to refer to Elizabeth as "it".
And when Vera said to Chrissie "You haven't put the father's name down" why didn't she just stick a pin in the phone directory she'd have had more luck finding the father's name that way !!!
Chrissies one of the biggest hypocrites in the series.
I hate when a parent calls their child "it" They're human beings not an inanimate object.
That dramatic music on the telly was playing again a couple of times in the rec room! The same movie on repeat constantly lol
Australias movie of the year 1979 - 1980 lol
I know there's community guidelines so I'll be polite as I can. Meg, tell Bob darling to get knicked.
Bea seems like the prison shop steward
I have always loved that scene where Lizzie sneaks into Mrs Davidsons office takes a swig of her grog and pinches her table lamp, and the fact that Mrs Davidson doesn't even appear to notice! Makes me laugh every time.
She was a real liberal, she knew what the prisoners were up to most of the time, but never got angry. I bet prison governors today are nothing like as liberal as she was.
Lizzie pinching the lamp , and swigging booze out of that bottle thing (not sure what its called ) lol .priceless
Poor Chrissie, parole though?? Why doesn't Bea apply for parole or Judy if it's that easy to get it
If he was a real man he would let Meg do what she want to do..
Yay Chrissy is back!
Oh dear. What possessed Lizzie to take Erica's lamp? No matter how quick she has to be, she always has time to take a swig of the grog.
think Bob is forgetting that if Meg hadn't been a prisoner officer it is unlikely they would have ever met
I'm surprised Lizzie didn't take the whole bottle of alcohol
Erica's hair...blowing in the wind all crazily....gets in the shed to see how the deco is going, and her hair is all smooth and not a strand outta place lol
That's exactly what I thought 😅
Bea calling Chrissy selfish is the pot calling the kettle black.
"thats a nice table lamp, its just like the one i have in my office".
just ilke one me bed room to back me lizzie
I hope things work out for Latham. So sad that she can't have her daughter with her.
Tricky Nicky Only for Elizabeth's sake. It's Chrissie's own fault. They expect and demand far too many rights. It's sad to think that criminals live it up while innocent homeless people don't--war vets even.
Hang her.
Meg just tell Bob to shove it!! she deserves so much better
Latham’s Legs man! 🙆🏻♂️
So fit!!!
Also. Why is it that the only one with a decent tan in an aussie soap is a POMMY bird???😂
It would be a scheme in the UK as well. Program is just used in America. Here, a programme would be something to watch on TV, or an information leaflet about an event. A Program is a piece of software for a computer. Gotta love the flexibility of the ENGLISH language. ;-)
Vera Bennett - the ultimate contraceptive !
Alan Mclay Not to me 😋
"The Freak" is more like the ultimate contraceptive.
One look at her and you will never have sex again.
RoughJustice 2k18 I dunno about that 😉
Hazels actually very pretty
Bob is forgetting his own daughter is in prison. He's so high and mighty. He's not good enough for Meg. IMO of course.👎
Bob's ashamed of Meg's job, when his daughter is in Prison.
@11:30 SERIOUSLY! How many times do they keep watching that same old film/TV show, and the same bit of it as well?!?! Ahahaha
I know. That bloody music. It wasn't so noticeable at one episode a week on TV, but if you watch a ton of these episodes in a row, you hear it all the time.
Gosh that Mike looks a bit intense doesn't he
Second go-round with pcbh .I liked Hazel on the first go-round .during the conjugal visit she looks like a real knockout. Belinda Davey--all right.
Always loved Chrissie and Amanda Muggleton's performance. Chrissie is a selfish bitch but you just can't help but feel sorry for her, and that's down to the way the character is played. Lots of comic moments too.
Chrissie's boyfriend = Man from front of Subbuteo box, circa 1980
I like Chrissie alot, finally we get to see her again. 🤩
If Bob thinks Megs job is bad for business, he should tell his business colleagues what Meg's family background is like. Does Bob even know that Meg was born in prison? And if so, what does he tell his prospective business partners, clients and colleagues about how and where they met? Does he lie about it? Living a lie is good for business.
I think Meg told Bob she was born in prison just before they got married. I doubt he is very honest at all about her with his business associates. Understandable in a way for business purposes, but still not healthy for the marriage in general.
Jim probably likes the idea of the congical visits so he can get the likes of Caroline, Sarah/Jackie in there lol
Conjugal.
... with these conjugal visits, I'd hope the dirty moos change the sheets. First Hazel's visit and straight after there was another one even though Fletch the Letch said Hazel was the guinea pig, lol. Eurgh!
Wwwwwe
The children need some outdoor toys or a few swings and a slide. While Mummy and Daddy are playing indoor games in the conjugal suite.
Judy needs to fine a girlfriend Hopefully someone close to her age this time
Nasty of Vera to interfere and try and make Hazel and George feel small and embarrassed. Jim did the right thing.
Fletch has got a short term memory...
I don't know what the program is on the TV in the rec room but it's heard most episodes....... Must be the most repeated program ever!
Chrissy's lil Elizabeth's character was a first before the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen twins. Elizabeth (in real life) is a set of twins who shared the role of Chrissy Latham's daughter.
Lisa Hirschbuhl and the twins are boys too !!
Often baby boys are used as girls and girls as boys. Makes no matter, just a change in wardrobe.
"yi bloody lagga" : )
lmbo @ fletch, all those jokes about the garden shed !! HAHAHAHA
Good on Bob. It is important to remember that at the time of their marriage Meg told him she would resign. She went back on her word, and THAT is what destroyed her marriage.
also megs strange mood swings dont help.
That teacher is annoying. Are you a teacher or social worker?? Thank God he's days are numbered.
... And he looks like Fred West!
Lol just what I was thinking.
Who's Rose West then? Hazel Kent !!!
He seems like a really nice guy to me. Why are people so judgemental these days?
I don't get it why is it when a meeting is being held only Vera,Jim and meg and no one else is there? Then the teacher is there when he's not anything to do with those things..
Isn't hazels son that kid doreen read too in the hospital that time?
Sounds like him. I think it's him, too.
You’re right. It is him. 😃
hahahha love that scene with be and krissie
bea: i havent got a husband
krissie: well thats only because u shot him
bea: oh shut up
7:57
this week judy is sporting a rollneck sweater underneath a shirt????? underneath dungarees.
This is presently being repeated on Thats TV, in the UK. They're up to season 1 with Lin Warner.
Interesting to note that Bea says that Meg is always a screw ;yet later on( I'm not trying to do a spoiler here) there comes a time when Bea literally stands by Meg.
How the hell did Lizzie just 'slip in' to the governors office?
Lizzie so funny..lol
Vera is only against the conjugal visits because she's not getting any, lol.
Vee needs a pair of Meg Morris’ yo-yo knickers, she’d be a different woman
Her twat is dried up! Haha
So Judy apparently can't do heavy lifting because of her heart, thinks back to when she lifted the trench hold or whenever she wants to act tough and fight. When will Davo learn to lock her office, she'd asking for things to be stolen.
5:00 erica with the nerdy glasses look........DAMN!!!!!
don't understand why Meg would marry a man like Bob ?
33:30 Doreen drops the F-bomb when she gets stabbed with the sewing machine needle! Go Dores!
Ooh Wentworth has a shed now!
Did vera dye her hair it seems darker the last 4 or 5 episodes?
How hard would it have been to play the odd different backing track for the tv in the rec room? Its the. Same one every time.
Scott Leicester I've come to the conclusion that it must be a running joke from the producers of the show because it's every bloody time- either that or the prisoners just absolutely love, love, *LOVE* that TV show and cannot get enough!!
Yes, I agree, it's a joke. I also think it's a joke how the same phrases are repeated all the time, like "This isn't a holiday camp!" and "Back to work, all of you!" It can't be an accident that those same phrases are used again and again.
Since this was a TV show aired once a Wk they wouldn't think viewers would notice. People follow the plot and storyline and forget what's playing on radio or TV. Now on RUclips it's a whole different thing lol. Listen, rewind, repeat, if you like :)
Not digging the green Gingham curtains in the nuptials hut..
I miss Nolene Burke
Jeremy Doe Yeah! She's a funny 1. I miss my favourite prisoner Frankie Doyal. RIP Carol Burns
You should see Jude Kuring in the 2003 indie film "Prisoner Queen." It's one of the most wild, off-beat, and touching tributes to Prisoner ever. It's online if you ever want to see it: ruclips.net/video/eA0VSO1iuEs/видео.html . I had no idea Jude had such a wide range of talent. She blew me away!
Bubba Zunetti (Geoff Parry) from Mad Max at 31:04!
Does Melbourne have different rules than Sydney? You've always been able to collect TAB winnings here as soon as the race is over.
The rec' room TV always plays the same thing.
I'm wondering about the man who's visiting Chrissie. I don't trust him at the moment. I have an eerie feeling that he wants to kidnap Elizabeth.
Juliet Robin he was a good bloke, he wanted to make a
Good home for Chrissy and
Their daughter. Chrissy was
A right cold bitch to him.
Only used him to get her
Daughter.
Nah, Mick's a good bloke.
I have a pretty good idea what nickname that shed would get.
i've heard about this joan ferguson coming up,, not sure i look forward to any shows without erica davidson, she's tops in my book. wouldn't want wentworth without her!
I have not got that far yet but I have heard all about her lol. Just imagine Wentworth with jock Stewart, Gillespie, Vinegar tits and the freak lol. Now that WOULD be hell on earth for the prisoners.
it's a great show though! we moved and i no longer have internet at home therefore i don't also have netflix, so i am missing the last 200 or so episodes.. maybe i'll see it to the end someday :) love this show though will go down as one of my all time favorites.
Corinna Zaccone it is a real good show. If you have no internet how comes you are able to reply to my comment ?
the library ;)
If Joan's "Wentworth" incarnation is any indication, she'll be interesting to watch.
9:25 - Doreen tells hazel that it wasn't her fault that her husband divorced her - except that it kind of is. She told 'Kivin' to leave, then she refused marriage counselling when it was offered and signed her own divorce papers against everyone else's advice, even though she was unhappy about it. Sorry Doreen but it's totally your own fault that you're not married, ya thick nong!
Who on earth in their right mind would marry Doreen for the duration she's such a depressant.
Because of her pride but Kev was too good for her so it’s good that she did. He dodged a bullet.
Hazel's daughter is the real life daughter of the man that played Wally. I didn't know about this until later on. I think it was from a Prisoner Fan website.
Why does Doreen have no eyebrows?
