Easily the best anime original fight TYBW has done. The team behind this episode made his new Bankai definitely feel more like a completed version of his old one. Since we never saw what it could do other than mainly the Mask De Masculine fight, I wouldn’t have imagined seeing remnants of Hihiō Zabimaru again as well as BRAND NEW techniques as well! Renji popped up this episode!
This episode it felt like the old renji during the first encounter, that menace look returned and i like how they're showing off his bankai. it's so versatile that i would say his true bankai is defintely one i would not mind having if i'm honest.

1) Yhwach uses The Almighty in the 9th minute of each episode where it's shown 2) Jushiro began the Kamikake ritual at the 13th minute 3) Uryu reversed the ending of this ep with Antithesis 4) Jugram is still in the middle of the ending, both timewise and positioning on screen. This is some god tier showmanship.
This is the power of having the creator make sure every scene is canon. He tells them about the fights he wish he had time to draw and they put them in the show. So glad bleach was off for ten years. This payoff is just amazing and would not have happened if they kept going back then. They might have made things worse. But now it will end the best way.

Other than that, I think I speak for everyone when I say Renji vs Uryu > Ichigo Vs Uryu. At least he tried his best considering the disadvantages. Much like Ep 30, this one was quite the surprise but a welcome one to be sure as this entire fight was not at all in the manga, while Ichigo vs Uryu was at least 2 panels that showed only a skirmish turned into half an Ep of an anime original fight line whereas this one is completely brand new (both being only about 2 chapters equivalent to NewGen anime pacing), making a more convincing case that Uyru has truly betrayed his friends. It looks like Uryu got his get back from Renji who laid him out back in Ep 16, seems like he never let that one go when he said ‘You are a Soul Reaper I despise’, now having him laid out, truly a profound callback. Renji could’ve ended him at least twice and while it seemed like he was dead seriously trying to do so apparently he was still subconsciously holding back, however despite that he was still at a disadvantage anyways considering their environment. Needless to say this battle was also not a priority as it didn’t garner any attention since it wasn’t even in the manga to do so, yet they still delivered with this new standard cinema direction courtesy of Pierrot Films. 🙌 Next week is when we should be diving into the 1st priority fight & Ep of the part as the big 400th one of the series for the Mad MVP.

I love how while Renji’s Bankai is mostly physical vs some of the more “abstract” abilities people like YHWACH have, its versatility and that it can come out of Renji’s body. Akes it super useful and interesting. Loved this fight and while Renji did lose, it wasn’t a total dogwalk.

Uryu defeated a squad 0 member in her bankai state very easily and he is arguably the second strongest on Yhwach's side since that squad 0 member had defeated every other stern ritter in Yhwach's royal guard and he was crowned by Yhwach as his successor and is granted the same letter 'A' as Yhwach. Renji outperfomed a squad 0 member by far against Uryu. (even if you take in consideration the possibility that Uryu might not have tried to kill renji if he is still acting to be against the soul reapers.)

They forget that renji already has a win this arc when he killed mask and renji was at a disadvantage being here as well. Renji is in no way my favorite or even top 10 in bleach but they did renji justice. The anime also did a great job with fleshing out renji and fleshing out his bankai. Uryu defeated a squad 0 member in her bankai state very easily and he is arguably the second strongest on Yhwach's side since that squad 0 member had defeated every other stern ritter in Yhwach's royal guard and he was crowned by Yhwach as his successor and is granted the same letter 'A' as Yhwach.
Renji outperfomed a squad 0 member by far against Uryu. (even if you take in consideration the possibility that Uryu might not have tried to kill renji if he is still acting to be against the soul reapers.)
Renji is pretty much captain level at this point and stronger than some of them as well.

They forget that renji already has a win this arc when he killed mask and renji was at a disadvantage being here as well. Would the outcome be the same maybe but we will never know bc they would need to go to a neutral area for them to actually fight bc renji couldve won a couple times this fight . Renji is in no way my favorite or even top 10 in bleach but they did renji justice. The anime also did a great job with fleshing out renji and fleshing out his bankai. They are also doing a great job with actually giving uryu more reason and purpose and displaying his powers as well especially whereas in the manga he literally did nothing until the end of the arc.
Also they showed renji's new bankai last cour in the same episode where he killed mask.
